Inazuma IS the Electro Dragon! (Genshin Impact Theory)

Let’s delve into the whereabouts and location of the mysterious Electro Dragon Sovereign of Genshin Impact! We’ve known the Dendro, Geo and Hydro dragon so far, but where will be the electro dragon and what is its name? I hope you enjoy the video 😀

  2. To me, Serai Island is where the electro dragon is.
We sealed it and fought a weakened version of it. Thunder manifestation is by far a better reference about thunder dragon than Sakura trees and Orobashi's lore IMHO.

  3. This is probably a crack theory but I think it's fun. What if Ei was the reincarnation of the electro sovereign?

I'm mostly basing this on information from the book "Treasured Tales of the Chouken Shinkageuchi", which states Ei "chose to give up her bodily form, helping her sister to ascend to the "heavenly citadel"", Ei also confirms that the text is accurate up to the war with Orobashi.

This is very strange as there is seemingly no reason Ei had to do this.

It can't be because she sacrificed her life winning the Archon War, as the wording implies it was a choice, not something she was forced to do as a last resort. It would also seem strange that there was another god in Inazuma strong enough to force her to do that anyway, but that's just conjecture.

We originally thought that it was because Celestia only gives the gnosis to the strongest god of each region/element, but in Sumeru, we learn that Deshret was able to outright refuse the gnosis without issue. Even if Ei had to take the Gnosis, that wouldn't stop her from being a kagemusha and letting Makoto handle the ruling of Inazuma, as Celestia doesn't seem to care at all how an archon chooses to rule.

But if Ei was a sovereign reborn, that would explain why her sister wouldn't be able to ascend whilst she was alive, given Celestia's antagonism towards the dragons.

That same book I mentioned earlier also notes that Ei had "little understanding of mortal hearts", which not like any other god/archon we know of, who all have been shown to get along with and connect with their people on a deep level. It is however, VERY similar to Neuvillette's characterisation in Fontaine. Her desire to stay in the background and handle serious matters only, whilst letting her more sociable counterpart talk to the people is also much alike our hydro boy.

The "purple sea" you mention in your video could be similar to the electrified waters that exist within Musoujin Gorge, which was created by Ei.

There is also something else worth discussing, and that's the Sacred Sakura's origins.

The Sacred Sakura was given as a seed to Ei by Makoto, who was able to plant it in Inazuma's past after she chose to stop holding onto her past and instead move forward and change for the sake of the future.

If the Sakura are intended to keep the electro sovereign sealed, then Ei planting the seed could be symbolic of her casting off her life as a shadow and as a sovereign, and choosing to move forward and become the archon her people need.

Like I said, crack theory material, I might be cooking like Ei right now. But I'm a believer *huffs copium*.

  4. I remember that when we started playing Genshin, they only told us that we had to search for the 7 Gods and meet them, and now we also have to find and discover the 7 Dragons, in addition to Celestia and the Abyss and all the lore hidden in each region, good times…

I wonder if the Mondstadt arc is a symbolism to the story because it starts with a Dragon trying to get revenge on a God for a misunderstanding caused by the Abyss (Also the Dragon has the right to hate the Gods for Celestia actions), but the whole arc is to help the God to save the Dragon to fly free, and then later we discover that the God cut ties with Celestia a long time ago…

I may overanalyze it, but I feel that it is a foreshadowing of the current gods' relationships with the dragons, and that the Abyss and Celestia doesn´t hesitate to use the past to make them their puppets when both dragons and gods just want them to be free.

    What do you think?

  5. Actually, Like all vishaps and elemental dragons, the Seven Sovereigns are creatures of the Light Realm and harness one of the primordial elements. The Seven Sovereigns were the mightiest among dragon-kind and ruled over the old world and its seven nations.

When the Primordial One — the eternal throne of the heavens — appeared, it and its four shining shades waged war against the Seven Sovereigns. After a long struggle, the Primordial One vanquished the Seven Sovereigns and began remaking the world to be suitable for humanity, establishing the Human Realm. Those who refused to yield to the Primordial One fled into the ocean depths.

With the original Seven Sovereigns' power fading away, a new generation is being born. At some point, the Hydro Sovereign was reborn as Neuvillette, though because of the Bathysmal Vishaps' impure evolution, he was reborn in a human form rather than a draconic form. None of the currently living dragon sovereigns possess their full dragonhood; when the Primordial One was victorious in its battle against the Sovereigns, it seized part of their Authority and converted them into the basis of an Archon's Gnosis.

  7. What about the thunder bird Kapatcir, I think the bird has similar case as wenut in sumeru where wenut come from dendro dragon while kapatcir come from electro dragon. In quest, kapatcir did mention about "she" gave him a name but forget what that name was. Or could it be that Gold lady😅

  9. If you go to the first area of Enkonamiya, to the place where we got the coral for the priestesses, the place you climb up looks suspiciously like a petrified heart, like a much larger version of Elynas’s
heart and is surrounded by what looks like rib bones. I noticed last night while exploring with my daughter as she was trying to find chests in Enkanomiya that she missed.

  10. This video reminded me of a legend in Japan. It is said that a huge dragon (interpreted as a huge catfish in the later age) lives under the Japanese Archipelago. When the dragon moves its body, an earthquake happens. Two gods, Takemikazuchi and Futsunushi, sent down two stone sticks to suppress the dragon.
Also, both Takemikazuchi and Futsunushi are the gods of thunder and sword.

  11. Azdhaha actually a land spirit given a body by Zhongli, so it should be Azdhaha not the Seven Sovereign (many of people still think Zhongli only give Azdhaha eyes, in fact Zhongli craft Azdhaha body, after Azdhaha body finished, Zhongli give him eyes)
