I Wish Genshin Impact Would Do What Honkai Star Rail JUST DID:

They QoL changes coming to Honkai Star rail would be amazing in Genshin Impact, and I’d be shocked if they don’t follow in HSR footsteps. Genshin needs to do a bit better on their quality of life changes, and doubling down on their good content to make it even better!

  1. HSR can do this because its easier to code HSR is a turnbase whare you have 4 characters that dont move all you have to do is click and enemy placing is just on a straight line in front
for genshin its much harder because its open you can run around and dodge enemy whenever you want and enemy placing is also important and they already have the abyss for that and they dont want to repeat what the abyss already have! and at the end of the day hoyoverse is a company and they have a reason as to why they wont add something to there game… if you know what i mean!

  2. that's because "quality of life" in genshin, as 99% dumb things that SLIGHTLY improve the game. instead of doing things that actually help.
That's the reason why i hope project mugen is as good as it look..
I will not stop playing genshin but i will surely cut the time i spend on it by a good 99% , because Genshin decision making team, is the worst i ever saw on a videogame.
And the cooldown thing you mentioned.. im pretty sure its done on purpose to annoy players.
Let's say you want to heal a chracter during a cut scene.. sorry you can't heal him/her, BUT the cool down will still be there after the scene i finished even tho you got no heal from that skill.
and do we want to talk about the idiotic 15 minutes cool down on the resurrection skill barbara and qiqi have? i mean 15.minuts, you can clear the whole abyss during that time -.- and still don't have that cool down back. its just done on purpose to annoy players.

  3. I don''t play genshin but after HSR release I heard that they worried that players now can understand that it is possible to do those changes, and they will do them.

  4. I’ve kinda just stopped caring so much about the grind in Genshin. Like if there’s a character that comes that I absolutely need/want, I have so much unexplored in Genshin that I’ll just get the primos from that when the time comes. But for right now, no more daily commissions from me. Just here to enjoy the story. HSR is killing it on the other hand and I’m excited for what’s to come.

  5. I would love to come back to genshin after nerly a year off the Game but I see absolutely no point I will just be mad again for pointlessly Upgrading all my character which would take ages… FOR NOTHING!

  6. When Tower Fantasy is released, I know Genshin Impact will not change because all I hear is, "Imagine if Genshin had this system" or "Imagine if Genshin had this boss content." Genshin does not change because most people do not stop playing and continue thinking about it.

When HSR was released, I saw the same pattern. Yeah, HSR beat Genshin in the first few months, but it dropped off. I see the developers trying so hard to keep players engaged with better rewards and quality of life improvements, but they still lose to Genshin, the casual game with only one endgame content.

If you want Genshin to change, people need to stop playing it so that there's a reason for them to change. Right now, Genshin is at the top of the market again with zero changes, just releasing new story content.

  7. i trully believe genshin and star rail are switched up, turned based games ussually focus more on the story, and less on the gameplay, while open rpg, focus more on the gameplay then story, but hoyo literally switched these 2 up, and created this mess were genshin only cares about story, and the gameplay is lacking, while star rail has all of this quality of life things (and a decent sory too lmao)

  9. you know what's funny? i've already asked for "claim all" button for the expedition in genshin since inazuma 2.7 patch because it feels so cringe to do mindlessly button pushing when it only progress your account by a microscopic amount. and i recently heard that they finally gonna adding it in version 4.3 AHAHAHAH. LIKE BRO? it could've been done from a long way ago, you silly developers. but alas, i still prefer genshin over hsr because the openworld. everyone has their own preference anyway

  10. NGL. back then i played HI3rd and Genshin. I play both of them relaxingly. Atleast i wished to play them both slowly. The thing is HI3rd doesnt resonate well with me since to me there is too much to do every week. I have many things to do daily so managing both of these games at the same time is too tiring. so i had to drop one of them. The one taking more time from me per week. So what im saying is more weekly contents wont necessarily make everybody happy. well that is just my case. I bet im a 1% or something.

  11. I came to Genshin shortly after it's release for the gameplay, and I stayed for the story. Like much of the community I've shared in the seemingly neverending frustrations regarding the sheer lack of any interest in making the game permanently better for those who enjoy the combat side of things. I'm tired of wishing the devs would 'get it'.

I'm tired of the philosophy of 'We don't want to make the game too hard for otakus who just want a waifu simulator.' There are a billion of those out there. And those who don't want to engage in the harder optional combat content don't have to. Remember the co-op battle events? The cubes? The flowers? Goddess those were so much fun. I don't care how many times they change up the enemies in the abyss to 'encourage' you to use the new mechanics. Abyss is 'boring'. With the few teams I have I could probably clear floor 12 until the end of the game's life without ever getting a new character, but I 'hate' doing it.

I could go on… but it's not worth it. I have watched the releases and notes and what not for the last several updates… and I just… can't care anymore. When they did my girl Deyha dirty… that was the last straw. It was a fun couple years guys. It really was. But Hoyo can kiss my ass. Unless they pull a major 180 on how they do things with the game… I'm out.

  12. Genshin is my favorite game but I find myself playing Honkai or even going over to Tower of fantasy.. Tower of fantasy for example is extremely buggy and has way too many channels but at least they attempted to fill the gaps. The most frustrating thing about genshin is they have everything going for them. The best gameplay on mobile for example, yet they refuse to allow us to actually use our characters. It's getting to the point I don't even want to pull anymore because there's no reason to. The open world is beautiful, the gameplay is perfection, but what is the point of having all of that if you can't use the characters that it's all built for? Even the open world is to gather materials to make your character stronger, so really what's the point with no end game??
