5:05 you can actually exchange rocks for various types of wood. It's in a furniture creation menu (when you talk to teapot bird).
I haven't played genshin in a while so I don't really remember but I belive exchange is 1 to 1. It could really help considering you don't need that much wood to create a 1 piece of each furniture

For the wood for furniture, why not go mining and then convert the ores to wood? Or sumeru rep gives you a device that helps farm wood too. Which I do think wood resets after a few seconds from a tree
