  1. Love all of your wacky but surprisingly functional team comps. Never would've expected Dori.
Normally when you explain a character's kit, I already know what that character does but when you started explaining Dori's kit, I straight up had to pay attention because I promptly benched her after getting her😂

Love your videos as always! Keep up the excellent videos!

  2. Thanks for the video!!! 🤩🤩🤩🎉💐🌸 I actually have Dori C4, I think but never built her. I have Kuki too but she's C0 so maybe I'll give Dori a try to see how she goes on my Alhaitham team latter on 👍 (Prior to this, it hadn't been in my plans to build her at all >.>)

  3. I don't think having anything other than a Sacrificial Greatsword on Dori is reasonable, since it synergises extremely well with her passive energy restoration. With that and ~200% ER, you can VERY consistently have your burst up!

  4. I had a short dori phase where I tried to learn how to do calcs and everything about her. As such, I’ll be info dumping a bit; sorry for everyone who actually reads this!

She’s actually known for being one of if not the fastest electro triggers for hyperbloom, as you video excellently explained. The big issue is with energy, as you also covered, and uptime. 20s CD with 12s of uptime is very rough for 80 energy. This makes it hard have her off field without a fk ton of ER/fav on her. As such, I’ve tried a few things:

    1. Fischl//Raiden/Kuki/Beidou: Electro resonance in of itself provides a lot of electro particles and this energy. Additionally, having these units’ own skills generate energy is nice. Kuki and Raiden, however, are often going to take up hyperblooms themselves, so you’ll end up building both they and Dori on EM, making Dori redundant (I tried doing split uptime with Kuki/Electro MC but it was often just worse than using solo Kuki/Raiden). As such, I often opt for Fischl and Beidou depending on content(fischl for single target and energy, beidou for AoE/survivability).

    2. On-field/Thundering Fury: I would argue that Dori is designed to be an on-field driver as she has much lower ER needs when she gets her own ulti energy and captures the energy particles. This is complemented well by thundering fury, which procs even more alongside one of her ascension passives to make her skill more spam-able than usual (skill casts also directly regen dori’s energy thanks to a passive, further incentivizing skill spam). This all does come at the cost of her hyperbloom damage, though, as you lose seed generation (from a non-dendro/hydro on-fielder) and are not running gilded/FLOP (if using TF [TF Does have a multiplier for hyperbloom damage but you need a significant amount of EM to make it better than gilded DMG-wise]). This is all supplemented by Dori’s C6, which helps her trigger even more seeds via her electro NAs (which now also heal off-field party members).

    3. Candace: infused NAs apply element with an ICD per character, so using candace to alternate between her and Dori to apply a bunch of hydro was an attempt at producing more dendro cores. It wasn’t all that good but it was fun to see Candace and Dori do stuff.

Another avenue that can be explored further: Dori also applies electro to the on-field unit, making her help consistently infuse electro with Kazuha Ulti and Sayu skill. Additionally, it makes Jean hyperbloom possible using both their bursts, though ER requirements on both are very tough (both units would get hyperbloom ownership and need ER; overall very cringe).

Dori overall is, as many “off-meta” units are, not as bad as people think but still annoying. She has a somewhat cohesive kit when played as an on-fielder but she doesn’t have enough EM or uptime to justify using her for hyperbloom nor enough electro application pre-c6 to work in aggravate (and even then, it’s scuffed). I may try to work on her again though, so any ideas would be appreciated!

Additionally, dori’s lamp connects to every player in co-op, healing and regenerating energy for all while also helping with hyperbloom coverage. Niche but nice to know

    Edit 1: typos
Edit 2: additional notes on co-op

  5. Hyperbloom and burgeon have no icd limitations because each bloom core is an individual entity and icd is a per-entity mechanic (meaning each entity will have a different icd counter). Dori's burst icd means absolutely nothing in the persuit of her triggering hyperbloom. Dori mains figured this out day of release.

Dori has only fallen off because Shinobu and Raiden are significantly better options in hyperbloom teams and are more consistent as Doris electro line can be a massive pain to get onto every core with all the movement you'll be forced to do ontop of dodging enemies.

Personally I like using Dori in a sayu aggrivate team. Garunteed electro swirl on sayu and extremely fun to roll around like a madman. All with extra healing and energy generation to help with sayus survivability and uptime.

  6. Why am I the only one with a healer Dori with clam set? Since Clam is only affected by the Def reduction of superconduct and Dori is electro she does crazy damage. My Dori heals for 14,000 damage a tick and does anywhere from 25,000-50,000 damage with clam set. You heard me.

There is no way I'm the only one who thought of this.

  7. I use Dori. I run her with a 4PC Scholar and have her built with HP/ER (& Katsuragikiri Nagamasa). Because she is run with 4PC Scholar, I run her on a team with Nahida, Tighnari, and Yae Miko (Bows and Catalysts). Nahida and Dori both generate a lot of particles, so the team cycles easily since aside from Yae Miko and Dori, the team has relatively small energy demands. Dori's second passive requiring her skill to generate particles also goes hand-in-hand with Katsuragikiri Nagamasa, so her own energy is easily replenished. If it's serious situation, I'll give Nahida the Favonius Codex to help with Energy even more. The only downside is that I have to keep Dori on-field to collect the energy particles herself for all the passives to activate. LOL.

The idea behind Dori is that she's a Philanthropic character. Donates energy, donates health, donates elemental application…and if you run her with 4PC Noblesse (good practice for healers), she can even "donate" ATK. Additionally, depending on your team comp, she can passively "donate" some ATK or EM if you run a different character with 4PC Gilded Dreams. She's a sponsor of sorts.

  8. Dori actually is the only electro unit that makes it easy to swirl electro on hyperbloom or agro team bc she applies electro to the player so u can infuse sucrose and Kazuha burst easy to make the reaction even stronger plus the additional EM

  9. As someone who's mined all electro women, I refuse to do anything with Dori. First it was Lisa, then Fischl came along. And THEN I pulled Keqing. I've leveled all of them up all the way. Now I have Dori and I'M NOT TOUCHING HER

  10. Doris ult works on blooms as if had no icd since that limit is tied to target of the ability, not skill itself. Every bloom core is new target so its not affected by icd at all.

  11. The reason why she "doesn't" have icd for hyperbloom is that elemental application is counted separately for every entity. Every bloom core is a seperate entity, hence you can trigger hyperbloom as soon as it touches any source of electro dmg. Dori is fun, albeit clunky to play, and I enjoy her utility as a battery. It's just a bit sad that she really can't compete with Fischl in terms of electro application and damage and Kuki in terms of uptime, aoe electro application, mobility and also damage via hyperbloom (cuz sacrificing er for em on Dori makes her harder to use). She's great in coop though, more burst connection lines for more damage and application.

  12. Dori…. My 2nd beloved healer. Just wanna say that I'm happy you made content like this. My Dori's heal @lvl 7 does 10k per tick with sacrificial greatsword without hydro resonance. I'm proud with the progress I've been through. Thanks for making Dori content! 💙☺️
