hydro is literally the best element, close to anemo, is the element to enable the most op teams in the game
I'm skipping Ayato to get Yelan, so I hope she's gonna be the hydro Ganyu
We need more 4 star hydro characters not just 5 star cuz it's easier to have and get to c6
I believe hydro needs more 4 stars… It has only two 4 star characters… making the element a very expensive investment

hydro doesn't need saving.. it's already good..
so you think hydro needs saving because it lacks a "main dps"? even though its the 2nd strongest element in the game? besides how would you even let that happen unless they have cracked multipliers or can utilize 4pc blizzard? vape is designed in a way that its mostly pyro that vapes, EC is designed to let an anemo or pyro unit do big damage, and freeze makes swirling hydro really hard. but if you wanted one, childe already exists. you want vape dps? his burst does a shit ton of damage. you want freeze dps? also childe, since his riptide is really good in freeze. and then im not really sure how you'd get an EC dps because the hydro isnt the one benefitting from the reaction
We need more 4* Hydro characters
Unfortunately no his energy cost needs to be lower cause who the hell is going to run two waters on the same team for improved healing come on hoyoverse that is so rubbish compared to Pryo, geo, and Cyro it’s such a let down. On the element table.
Skipping raiden for ayato
The hydro element itself is really good (the elemental resonances is trash though).
But yeah Hydro need more character, especially 4-stars. There are only two hydro 4-stars at the moment, only Barbara and Xinqiu
Non healer hydro units badly need to be self sustainable in the energy department, so that only 1 unit can be added in the team, avoiding the rubbish resonance bonus…this is why Mona scales with ER, Xingqiu and sac sword are like pizza and cheese and Childe has energy refund built into his kit… I just hope Ayato's new passive can allow him to be self-sufficient to fill his own burst, cuz if not, then instead of saving Hydro, he would be the one needing all the saving…
FBG Kokomi already healed hydro.
Remember box gadget from recent event? The one that reduce corrosion debuff. I think that's what buffed hydro would be: "When characters gets healed, they gain stronger resistance against any debuff, such as corrosion, freeze, electro charge, burn, etc."
tbh we want more hydro anemo geo electro characters, no more pyro and cryo please.
I think Ayato might be best when replacing xingqiu in sucrose taser as the slow off-field large AOE hydro application can allow lots of enemies to be electro-charged. After putting down all the off-field abilities, use sucrose swirl main dps with normals and elemental skills and then use ayato infused hydro main dps due to ayato regen energy below 40 energy passive.
Childe hydro application is so fast, he can enable xiangling gouba and pyronado as well as kazuha pyro infused burst at the same time. Ayato might just be able to enable 2 of them from what I have seen but thats enough because his large AOE hydro application can enable to xiangling to vap 360 degrees unlike childe with only whats in front of him so no need grouper and can just use yunjin, fischl or beidou as 4th slot. Feels weaker though.
Mona and kokomi are great in freeze teams together with a grouper like kazuha or venti. Ayato hydro application has large AOE so no need grouper for freeze but still need to group for AOE cryo dps so he seems redundant here. Also feels weaker.
Anyway, my opinions are subjective as I didn’t take into account his numbers.
Don't panic , méta waifu hydro Come in 2.7, Mihoyo know how to win money….

I truly hope you're right about hydro. It really needs some love. It has major potential that is ignored. More support than dps.
