The things they could do to bring me back arethings I know for a fact they just aren't going to do, things like increase the resin refresh rate, massively decrease rng on artifacts, make an actual end game, increase the amount of primo gems you get as rewards for doing stuff, make actually good events, leave event areas and story's in the game like golden apple and the dragonspine albedo story, stop pretending genshin is a mobile game
I don't think new area is a good way to bring back older players. Even I who still haven't take a break from genshin starting to get bored from just exploration. I haven't touch touch enkanomiya since I finished the quest to unlock it, meet Enjou and the event. I find it serious not fun to play around Enkanomiya.
That's all I can say. I don't really know how to bring back the players tho. They probably just need to do something that isn't really limiting our play time in game like removal of resin system? I don't know. They have to figure that out.
Genshin should make a boss for endgame players that drops domain autoclear tickets that let u clear the domain once for each ticket so farming artifacts wouldn't be such a pain.
Also they could keep some fun events like windtrace as permanent events .
A balanced pvp mode would be nice too
Honestly I don't see me coming back to the game to play daily unless they completely change the gameplay cycle. I may comeback to do Sumuru's strory or explore new area but definitely not for a new char because I know I won't be able to get them because I haven't played. Genshin's gameplay loop works only as long as there isn't anything better. Now there is. I already wasn't playing much because of Lost Ark and now when I saw thier developers' reaction to fucking up I want to play genshin even less. I've beed saving for months for c2 Raiden I got her just to do nothing with her. That was the last thing that was keeping me in the game.
They must make changes to bring back players
I think they must increase resin cap to 200
decrease pity and continue adventure handbook
It's really hard to solve genshin's problem. Problem being that the game is made for casual players which can be seen everywhere in the game.
Game being easy. To be honest, it is not easy because there are a lot of machanics that are actually hard like the vishaps, agents, character upgrade bosses almost all of them are worth learning. Recent are annoying which are not worth wasting time. There are also reactions but they don't take that long to master. It's the dmg ratio that makes it easy. Here we are causing 50k avg dmg while the strongest enemy can only do 10k dmg. Not enough to kill even character with lowest hp.
Rewards. I am little above casual player and have invested a lot of time so my characters are pretty strong. Even then i am not able to get 2000 in the recent event. I am not trying to or i am not good enough but i don't feel like i am missing out. The game doesn't encourage me to put more thought into the event. Last they did it was in potions event which was very fun. I don't know if it was balanced or not but that was the one that made me think of what character i should be using to get that primos(f2p encouragement). The enkonomiya event right now to be honest i didn't like it. Yes it allowed me to do it over 40 days but they made me roam around same map. I have not explored enkonomiya but because i am not much interested in doing it again. And it takes too much time. Yes i can do it on sundays in case i am busy on weekdays but it didn't feel right.
Endgame. Due to the reasons Is really hard. Atleast in case of genshin. Endgame is something that takes a lot of our time which can be by fun grind or repeatability. Knowing how genshin treats the above casual player, the rewards will be bad so the endgame should be good enough for players to invest time in it without getting much rewards. They should also make a way where even casual players can get into endgame content, mobile compatibility, balance when pvp. Biggest thing is that casual players should not feel they are missing out by not taking part in endgame. If we assume abyss is endgame lot of players get into abyss because they want the primos. Abyss is brilliant as a end game. The early 8 floors are super generous with primos, 300 primos per floor, 300 for how easy they are is really good but as we go further it is not that good. But abyss also gets easy as you get good enough and they cannot make it any harder or they might isolate the relativity new players like me, i am been playing for 7 months but still not good enough to 36 star.
You should change your comment guidelines. Even you should not be insulted, criticized yes but not insulted even if you are a masochist.
Ads.
Viewers will try it and they'll be inlove with it the first time or hate it at the start to the end. Some players hate the story and some hate the grind.
Only those who really like the game will stay and those overattached will pay.
Beginners wont care shit about Resin, they'll care about the pulls when they discover it. They will care for the unexplored areas but will see its just an empty land once you get the chests.
Theres already so much bad PR by Mihoyo due to the Anniversary Events they held and that really ruined the game for interested players. Not to mention the community as well is seen as pedo, toxic and way overprotective on both the company and some flawed characters released.
Good topic honestly …. Can’t say most people already cope with Mihoyo carrot on a stick wheel . Maybe is for the best like this since I hate to admit but 60-70% of the players just play genshin like a high quality animal crossing look how much the mario maker got talked but this current one the combat one silence. There many things to touch on but Mihoyo still profits from the wheel new char new set tiny exploration repeat… it’s a reality of genshin

I don't even care about 160 resin it has been capped for about 2 months now and I am starting to even miss out on my welkin login and comissions now.

fix the coop mode.. i mean make it enjoyable. i know they've tried like making daily playable with friend(but still got issue)
i've started playing honkai and there're more repeatable content (some what annoy but still something) but for genshin when you are done with daily/event there're so few thing you can do (ore,crystalfly,mats) and those are very boring. I'd love it if i can just simply have some fun with friends. just my opinion but when i'm playing games(i mean hanging out doing stupid stuff aka having some fun) with friends the magic happens lmao.
I would want something to skip doing Domains and Comissions doing them was fun at first but now it's just tiring since it's the same damn thing over and over again I would also want them to improve Co-Op mode cause right now it just s u c k s no reason to ever Co-Op unless you just want the ascension mats for characters
Something like Co-Op only bosses or Co-Op only missions would be pretty cool I also want them to make every event only gamemodes permanent but they are only available on like weekends
And some gamemodes would be fun too like Survival mode where it's waves of enemies you can fight and a boss at every 10th wave, you can also improve the strength of your characters from the points you got from killing the mobs I can't think of anything else rn though.
Maybe they think taking photos of plants will make players come back 💀
It doesn't have to be endgame but constant repeatable and rewarding content would be fine with me
I know valk you don't look at comments that much… but here's my thought
1. make enemies more stronger, make more drops from killing those enemies like if we gonna kill a ruin guard it will take like 4 minute but we get 10k mora from it… otherwise there is no motive to kill enemies but we love killing enemies.
2. make abyss not necessary for primogems and fill that with other resource like fragile/ transient resin, teapot coins, billet drops in that way abyss will be both valuable and not valuable the same time… and yes give that 1200 primogems that you give for abyss through some events, dailies or something like that kind
3. Make a daily or hourly goal and some rewards associated with it like it exists in honkai.
4. Make challenges repetitive and replay able but we can only get rewards like chests one time other time we just get drops and mora. They have done that with new three realm gateway event which is really cool feature
5. Endless domain
6. Give player more resource to progress faster
7. Give player more free space to test new character that comes in open world at least for 2-3 days after launch and some incentives during event period to level up the character like they do with event weapons
Nothing else coming in my mind but if only mihoyo fix these things this game will be far more attractive and useful
Still play Genshin but not as active as I used to be. I also not exactly sure I wanna Genshin to change to get me active back on the game. Maybe give more rewards for fighting open world enemies, pvp with other players under specific criteria, special event at open world every month, upgrade every character birthday rewards or don’t have to farm so much materials. Like I said not sure and maybe this help, I guess?
My perspective is: Mihoyo timeframe for a cycle is way too long– annual cycle for approximately 10 years projection. This is why we keep lacking content despite all of mhy's effort. Imagine if instead of 10 years, they cut it into 5-6 years, so the cycle repeats after 6 months? Imagine how content we're if in patch we got the entire lantern rite and enkanomiya event at the same time. I'm pretty sure mhy can do that with all of the profit they gain, but mhy being a corporate — wants to maximize the profit for as long as they can, holding on until it stop profiting.
dunno what to say really, i still play and dont mind too much the way things are now
though i do feel like there is a lot of potential for endgame co op gameplay if they actually committed to that

Also i wish for better presentation for story quest like can we have characters more around and do something rather than just stand in one place it would make the story more enjoyable
And also can the story just get good already its been a year, common mihoyo the lore is there just implement it in the main quest
Repeatable end game content with rewards that affect gameplay and don't cost resin. Bonus points if you're incentivised to use more characters so there is more reason to pull for new units.
The rewards could be could be unique, powerful artifact sets and 4*weapons (or special billets that you can forge special weapons with). Or even if you could "forge" your perfect artifact from an existing set by grinding the domain.
Right now all Genshin has is abyss, and the rewards for that are extremely boring and impactful. Sadly, I don't think Genshin will ever focus on end game. But I just don't see the point in playing a game that doesn't offer me any incentive to get stronger or better at the game.
Make it worth our time … last month I've played daily do my the quests spend my resin and log out , for the whole month i got nothing except for my 60 primos… a month of resin which equals over 4000 resin and not even one decent artifact to upgrade my account … in my opinion they need to rethink the whole reward system in order to keep players engaged long term other than that nothing will work
Well aside from Endgame? They need to show that they care about the community and their own game, how? Simple: if they'll listen to their community!
They need to add a roadmap
They need to fix the resin issue (maybe by making the resin regen time shorter, like from 8 minutes to 4 or 5 minutes and instead of 1 resin per said time how about 5?)
Character buffs/fixes are needed for some characters
Lower pity on the weapon banner cause it's a huge scam
Rerolling Artifacts, main or sub stat
Endgame- permanent hard and replayable content
Etc…
Nothing!!! 🤣🤣🤣🙌🏼 You’re amazing Valk. I can’t even put in the energy to think about it. It’s pointless. I still play Genshin, but I‘m through with it. I only stay put until the Kazuha rerun. I don’t even care about Sumeru anymore. I have some small in-game goals (like leveling up 3 more weapons) and I probably will farm enough primos for a guaranteed character after Kazuha, but after that I‘ll probably log off for a whole year until there is some „real“ content. 😏🤣🤣🤣🙌🏼 If I want to play Minigames I‘m gonna download Candy Crush!!! Lol 🤣🤣🤣🙌🏼
Find new ways to farm for artifacts maybe loot them from enemies completing domains is repetitive. Replace the daily commissions with literally anything else. The resin system must go. Finally, release new areas faster. Honestly, the idea of waiting for the game to be completed in years is kind of discouraging. I know that would be tricky tho and I wouldn’t want a broken game. But maybe they could add dungeons or something. Also I would like them to find a way to make us level up characters faster. I am a casual player and when I get a new character it usually takes me a very long time to even be able to use them.
10000 free primos might get the job done.
I prefer mihoyo fixing the repetitive artifact hunting system
