  2. I thought it was just me, I don’t even like pulling new characters because it means I have to build them. I don’t understand why everyone is so happy about pulling new characters when you have to spend sooo much time making them viable. Im jealous of those who even have the energy to build their characters lol

  3. 5% chance of the right elemental goblet is going to go even lower with dendro goblets.
    to this day i still do not have a good cyro goblet, but i sure have tons of amazing geo goblets…

  4. i knew the rng of artifacts were bad but didn't realize how bad it was until last week i got my second ever 5 star physical damage goblet after almost 2 years of playing

  5. One thing that can be implemented to the artifacts is that, whenever there's a stat like atk%, that would lock the option of getting flat atk and viceversa. This just limits the total combinations possible so doesn't fix much of the problem but I'd take whatever RNG reduction I can get. That combined with the capability to guarantee a main stat is also a great suggestion since you still need to roll substats to get a workable build.

  6. Excellent video as usual, Flaim. Coming over from Twitter to say your arguments are far more realistic than anything I've said before about Artifact grind fixes, but at the same time, I myself am now completely hopeless for Hoyoverse doing anything about it.

  7. wish they'd just add an "auto-claim" system. it'll still cost resin, but if there's been a time where you cleared the domain under a set amount of time, you'll be able to auto claim artifacts from the domain menu. I don't understand how they haven't added this. it would get rid of the tedious "killing the same mob wave over and over" and make it very much more bearable at least.

I had an idea for an Ephitomized Path equivalent for artifacts where you can select the type of piece and it's main and sub sats in exchange for an increase in the pity number, like you just want a Geo Goblet ? 10 artifacts and then you're guaranteed . Oh you want it to also have both Crit rate and damage ? That'll push it to 30 artifacts before guarantee . That way it'll still be mostly random but you'll at least be guaranteed to get what you want eventually

    Also all flat substats should removed and all 5 star artifacfs should be 4 liners

  9. I've been farming Crimson witch for months for Diluc.. Got everything but pyro goblet. I gave up on that domain and tried to get Pyro and Anemo goblet (for Xiao) on different set. I only got 1 or 2 5* pyro goblets that were total trash, in like a year of farming for it. I gave up 🙂

  10. Honestly, your second method is the only way for them to make artifact grinding slightly enjoyable. Slowly progressing towards getting those perfect sub stats but still having the need to grind benefits both of us (players and devs), you still need to grind a lot of artifacts to level up your artifacts and to get the reroll mats, but it at least won't make us feel worthless when you get a max value crit artifact only for it to roll flat def

  11. I was thinking about this but maybe this solution wouldnt really help.

    what i was thinking" 5 artifact pieces, 5 days of the week!"
    i was really frustrated that the domain isnt giving me goblets for my characters
    and the drops would alternate, if you got shimenawa in your first drop, the next one would be severed fate, and so on and so forth.
    this doesnt affect rng that much but it would control what day of the week i should not be farming to save up for the days i should be.

  12. the artifact farming system breaks my heart, even as someone who really enjoys grinding in video games, just because of the resin limit…

    i get why it exists but at the same time only being able to do so many domain runs a day just to get hogwash so many days in a row just does not feel good in the slightest (and it's for the reasons you said, not even feeling like i'm working towards a goal, just praying to rnjesus). uncapped resin for artifact domains would make me feel better about the whole situation but that's obviously a terrible solution and one only geared towards me LOL

    i was also kind of disappointed with the strongbox buff tbh, because once again i really dont mind the grinding aspect in and of itself. i like clearing CW/LW domain and BS/HoD, but many people don't simply because it's not resin efficient for most accounts. so it feels like hyv is rendering a lot of actual endgame content (the varied domains) obsolete because the resin system won't even let most players grind anything other than emblem domain without it feeling suboptimal LMAO

  13. i think the simplest way to "fix" artifacts is just giving every stat the same probability of appearing, you're still at the mercy of rng but it's a lot less annoying😭😭 i haven't gotten an em artifact in months

  14. I understand the system is bad but don't give up unless it negatively impacts you physically or mentally. You will eventually get good artifacts if you keep farming but make sure not to go insane in the process lol

  15. Are you actually meant to have perfect artifacts, though? Everything in the game is clearable with pretty mediocre artifacts. All you really need is an okay amount of crit on your main DPS and the right main stats, and then the supports can just kinda rock whatever is vaguely correct. Feel like the issue here is largely people grinding for perfect artifacts for no particular reason and then getting mad its hard to do so.

  16. I am a masochist that enjoys artifact farming, but I do agree the system is completely fucked. I like the rng aspect of rolling artifacts because thats what makes it so satysfying when you get a good one, but the layers of rng that it takes are too heavy. I agree 100% with all of the things you said in the video, they would make artifact farming not feel like wasting resin 90% of the time lmao

  17. I like the 2nd option because it does not invalidate a "good artifact" which rolled mostly on less desirable substats. In essence it's as if you are "building" that good artifact to reroll on your desired substats. I think that this system will bring balance because it's still going to be rng and it would be a grind, however it will reward players with a clear end goal of getting their ideal artifact and will temper that frustration because you'll always have that option.

  18. I started farming the crimson witch domain ever since I got Hu Tao on her rerun. But to this day I still never got a good HP sands so my Hu Tao is using an Attack sands with mid substats and honestly? I'm keeping it that way, I give up. Hoyoverse definitely needs to change the system

  19. I just want one thing, REMOVE THE FLAT SUBSTATS, I can suffer through farming but WOW, the flat stats don't even get added to the base attack before everything else they are so BAD

  20. I agree with choosing the slot you want to farm, It's good because I don't really care about sub stat, what I want is just a complete set of it, the Rng is already bad enough for even one slot

  21. If Mihoyo doesn't decide to give an atleast *free DENDRO DMG cup*, I don't think people would even pull for Tighnari and Collei coz they just know these characters arent going to be playable for a LONG time😓

  23. My two ways I suggest to improve are:
    Scrubing Artifacts: I got this idea from Splatoon, (But who cares) where you can get rid of the sub-stats you got from leveling the artifact. So, if you have Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ER, and flat DEF, but if you get all flat DEF rolls, you can just “scrub” it and get the ones you want.

    Second change: a one you suggested: a pity system, in an ideal world, you can pick a handful of stats and sub-stats and have the pity build up until you get the perfect artifact. But, Hoyoverse will probably mess the pity system up, somehow

  24. At the end of the day, I think the community fuels this. You don't need perfect artifacts to clear the game. Not even close. I think they need a way to do inefficient farming without resin, but the current system is fine for me because once I have a good enough artifact set, I'm not obsessed with getting a perfect set, but I don't farm for them because slowly upgrading my set is fun. The main thing is I'm not "chasing the jone's" obsessively chasing the perfect artifacts that people flex in the community.

    I realize that there are a lot of people who hate knowing there is a perfect artifact set out there and they don't have it. Seems like a terrible cycle, and game companies encourage it because it keeps the obsessed engaged and spending money.

  25. I really like the relic customization feature from Dislyte, an event where you can get a free god tier relic of your choice. I think genshin should have an event like that.

  26. For me canceling the whole rng system is what should happen for a very simple reason and its beucause we are alreadu spending mora artifacts resigns and we are fighting enemies for it I don't get their point with this rngs
    We are talking here abiut rng that makes maxing all characters to their max potential a dream that is never going to be reached

    I myself am tge type of people that want to give each character its own time but I'm never going to do this under these circumstances

  27. Just got a 4 liner, double crit artifact yesterday. All 5 rolls are on crit. But they are all low rolls and it barely hit 40 CV. The level of rng in this game is unreal. Guess I'll have to spend another half a year worth of resin in that blizzard domain.

  28. fixing the rng and making it easier to get extremely good artifacts would be nice, but will make me feel like I've wasted all the resin I've spent farming for good pieces and let's not forget the people who use money for more farming, it'll be like putting a time limited character in the standard banner for some people.

So I always thought to help make strongboxes actually significant, the chance of getting a type of artifact should be based on what you feed into it, so for example of you want a sands then you can feed 3 sands to get one, or if you want everything but a flower and a feather, you can just not add those to the 3-count. To further clarify, let's say you have 2 goblets and a crown to put into the 3-requirement, you'll have a 66% chance to get a goblet and a 33% chance to get a crown, and 0% chance to get anything else, so you basically select your rates for your strongbox rewards.

  30. Also, while the sheer RNG madness caused you to checkout in disgust, and causes me to only actively grind for good enough pieces. I'm pretty sure we out outnumbered by the players who stay engaged in grinding as hard as possible on the artifact slot machine.
