How Albedo (And Rhinedottir) Can SAVE Khaenri'ah (Genshin Impact Lore and Theory)[v4.7]

I NEED MY ALBEDO SUSTINENCE – this video came from me wondering “okay so if Rhinedottir’s basically a war criminal, then Alice is a saint for letting Albedo in Mondstadt and giving him a lab.”

Also, sorry for the voice being a little scuffed. I have the travel tiredness kicking in.

  1. I personally think that Rhinedottir is dangerously curious
Basically, she want to improve, learn new thing, but at the same time she is not scared to use dangerous method
For example, we know that she want to be seen as a mother, I mean, Durin and Elynas both literally call her "Mother" and see the other creation as sibling. Something that is shared with Albedo, despite the fact he refer to her as "Master", he also consider her the closest thing to his mother, and refuse to call Alice "Mom"
However, they are also very dangerous, and while they don't mean any harm, they can easily lose control of themself and unconsciouly hurt other, literally.
And I think that why the Magnum Opus is so important. The little wolf shit are barely a part of this, and they hurt basically everyone, because they are failed experiment. They literally are accidents
Durin and Elynas work as the blackening, they are aware of their surrounding, but like the wolfs, they can get corrupted and hurt other, without meaning it.

Albedo, being the whitening, is more mature than the other two, and he have less chance to lose control of himself, however, the chance are not zero. Also, something I noticed is that Durin and Elynas specifically lost their control during the cataclysm. Which make me believe there are some factor that can make them loose themself. Which is why I believe that Rhinedottir left Albedo when she found the artefact, we don't really know what it is, however, it is suspected to be like a gnosis, in some way. Which would explain why she left Albedo.
And why Mondstadt ? Because of all the nations, it's by far the most welcoming (If you aren't a Lawrence) and the least dangerous, in some way. I mean, compare it to the other nation so far, people are probably the happiest over here. And there is also like you said the remain of Durin, and Alice.
And, if he ever lose control, the people there are powerful enough to stop him. And, while it probably wasn't foreseen by Rhinedottir, he have 2 stalker that will be able to tell the other before thing get out of end. Also one of them could probably defeat him by himself

  2. No, I think his mission is to be the least interesting 5 star character until the writers realize they forgot one of the "most important characters in the lore" and comeback to re-write him in the plot again. I don't know why we never got an update on the guy. Though tbh, I'm not sure why he wasn't introduced later on during the game's life span, I would much rather buy that he was on the expedition with Varka to no man's land, than getting introduced in the plot in year one for nothing to happen for years. And with him not even being Khanriahan, you can measure his uselessness with ease come year 8.
Honestly, I would've been fine if they retconned the plot to erase him completely, since this "most important characters in the lore" has outlived his purpose.

Albedo, The 5 star that you forgot existed

  4. Great video from the Great Aster 😀
Though I like to add to 5:40 that not just Albedo but Khaenri'ah itself saw Citrinitas (Gold) as the final stage in place of Rubedo which is being called out by a note ,from I presume Jakob, inside the Tower of Ipsissimus.
Which makes you wonder why it is not Rubedo considering the Dynasty which was all about Alchemy is called Crimson Moon.

  5. I wonder if Gold/Rhinedottir is trying to make use of Remus’ “imbue golems with consciousness” technique. Is the loom of fate project linked to it? Is she working with the Abyss to create their own leylines and version of Irminsul as their own Phobos?

If they are able to mass-produce homunculi like Albedo, they could transfer the consciousness of the cursed Khaenri’ans into those bodies and save them. The homunculus bodies would not be under Celestia’s domain and so could not be affected by any future attempts to curse them.

  6. I’ve seen a theory on tumblr, that Rhinedottir was inspired by Neuvillette to create Albedo. Before the Primordial Human project, Rhine had been creating dragons (and rifthounds), which includes Durin and possibly Elinas. During the time Albedo was created, Neuvillette was already in Fontaine, so Gold might have already known that a dragon sovereign can take a form of a human, hence she changed the subject of her research. Parallels between Albedo and Neuvillette were also described; both were expecting some sort of foretold tragedy, whether it is “losing control” for Albedo, or Fontaine getting flooded. The later came true, however not in a way it was expected; it ended well, and Neuvillette also mentioned that he learned the “truth” about people. Albedo is also trying to uncover some sort of a “truth of this world”. And Rhinedottir leaving him to learn social interactions fits here, since this may be closely related to the truth he is seeking for. The Philosophers stone also may contribute to it, and going berserk for Albedo may not be what he thinks it would be.

There was more to this theory, focusing a lot on gnoses, Rhinedottir, and, what was the main point, what is she going to use the Heart of Naberius. I just summarised what I remembered, because this theory is SOMETHING for me. It is by monards on tumblr, quite long one, but definitely worth it for lore theories enthusiasts.

  7. Khaenri'ah flipping the last two steps is a lore thing rather than an error, as notes in the Narzissenkreuz Ordo Tower show that they thought that Khaenri'ah made an error in the procession of alchemical colors because they were more focused on gold (presumably wealth/food production) rather than trancesion, or something along those lines.

  8. The Khaenr’ian sinners are interesting because they could either be sympathetic characters genuinely trying to advance and protect Khaenr’iah, and being deemed sinners by a corrupt Celestia. Or they could be truly evil and the catalyst of the downfall of Khaenr’iah as Dainsleif tells us, and their abyssal corruption could be guiding their actions more than their willingness to preserve life and their home land. It’s hard to say right now, but I expect these characters to eventually become sympathetic the same way we’re supposed to be sympathetic to the abyss sibling who themselves are corrupted by the abyss. I guess only time will tell
