Eh, I just pulled Albedo, but I think with the new weapon and artifact set he'll be strong without Gorou. I have no interest in pulling Itto or Gorou, and I don't play Noelle, so this whole DEF/GEO meta thing they're trying to push is cool, but outside of Albedo, Zhongli, and Ningguang, none of the geo characters really interest me at the moment. Yunjin is really cute, but it's too early to see if she'll be any good.
His burst being able to pull in shards might suggest Archaic Petra being a decent option for him
Unless the meta dictates I need to have a Geo team, Itto and Gorou are both hard skips for me. Gorou especially. He looks like a Sara 2.0 to me. What a massive disappointment she was. Not really looking to repeat that mistake.
so i already got albedo and zhongli, and this video just encrourage me to get gorou and push my albedo beyond his limit before 2.3😂

Another overly niche character. I feel sorry for new players, who wind up getting the likes of Gorou or Sara as an off banner pull, since those characters won't even be worth building for them.
Gorou is just what they wanted to do with Sara but were too afraid so instead of an ER based electro buffer she’s a Bennett wannabe split scaler with no real niche cuz Electro’s ass with other elements
I’m glad they took this route for him because if he were just a geo Sara it would’ve been boring

Mhy is literally going for pay to win meta for new characters. Basically upcoming 4* characters main kit dmg/support is locked behind cons. And they are literally reducing the stat on which the dmg scales. Example Yun Jin, her skill abilities scales on hp% but the skill dmg scales on def%
Since Gorou own damage does not matter at all why not go for DEF % on every main stat????
Mihoyo once again shows they don't know how to build their own characters

Something is rubbing me up the wrong way with gorou needing C4 to be viable in a full geo team in corrosion fights. But looking forward to him anyways

I need a in depth vid when Gorou comes out, bc if it’s full Geo team, my Zhongli has the 4p Millileth atk buff, my Albedo has the 4p Husk buff, & while Gorou need DEF, idk if the 4p Petra buff for Crystalize reactions (since it’s a Geo team) will b better over another 4p Husk set… idk.

Does anyone know if Polar star R1 would be good as a stat stick for Gorou? Or do I just use favonius warbow R2?
For some people asking: NO you do not need Four Geo characters, Gorou counts with the Geo characters so you only need a total of three, therefore you can have anyone in the fourth slot of any element for crystallize or maybe have a Bennett, etc.
His healing ability and c6 makes him broken in a full geo team…. imagine albedo him ito and either zhongli or Noelle

Gorou has a really similar C6 to Kujou and they're both Inazuma bow chars – I found this amusing. xD
Also your artifact set recommendations are on-point. Noblesse to buff ATK for whole team, Husk to buff his own damage. You could also mix in Severed Fate for the extra recharge if necessary.
Also concerning Gorou's Cons just being a bonus and not mandatory – aye, his C1 and C2 are completely optional, the C4 is a really good heal and the C6 is a lot of extra crit damage but I agree, they're just icing on the cake.
Give his DEF boost to Noelle with Whiteblind, his Crit DMG buff to pair with Geo MC's Crit Rate buff, and a 4th Geo character to get the max constellation buff…insane
I'm disappointed in gorou's design. Way too niche and his kit has 0 relation to kokomi. But thematic at all. His kit goes with characters completely unrelated to him. What's the point of having such a cool character design when he's going to be on the screen for 1.2 seconds

his team options are very limited rn, but its very necessary. we have bennett and sara who buff atk, and we know other units can make use of their other stats.
gorou is a nice def buffing option, maybe in the future well see characters who can buff other stats like even HP or healing bonus lmao

If geo teams could break shields better geo would be waaay better I just got albedo hes op I love geo characters can't wait for the free yun Jin we gonna get
