I loved Kinich's design as soon as it was teased, then lost interest when people started calling him Ben 10 (I HATE Ben 10 lmao) Archon quest made me enjoy his character, then his teaser got my interest piqued again and then this trailer has me almost 100% convinced to pull him. His trial will be the deciding factor

I also think his design is weird for natlan or the entirety of genshin. I'm not saying he is ugly, it's just not fitting? But he looks super cool nonetheless. His playstyle seems fun too, and not to mention the JP VAs are literally sasuke and naruto lmao. I will drag them home.

Personally I think Kinich pixel/retro game aesthetic is actually a pretty genius way to incorporate the geometric style of ancient Mayan art and modernizing it. Kinich's design is littered with Yucatec Mayan artistic motifs, while appearing nearly entirely modern. Taking of course from his namesake, Kinich Ahau, one of the names of the Mayan Sun Gods, who is most often depicted dressed in green and gold, and whose name translates to Sun-Eyed Lord.
I really wanted to save, but they got me… haven't been this hyped for a male 5* since Wanderer's release.
He is just the type of character I like and I love his design. Also, he is an honorary anemo boy in my mind and I collect them all 😀
Ajaw is a bit odd at first, but it all makes sense when you read the character story.
Mualani does have that rainbow glow when she uses her skill, and it looks pretty cool in game when you look closely!
