  2. HoYo found out how to make the perfect game, and the perfect recipe to get money without fcking its players.

ALL the content in the game is available to all.
NO p2w in the game (there is no PvP), and all content is doable even with the original 4-star characters with some effort.
Has hundreds of hours of high quality content already, and gets new content and characters at a pace that no game will ever even hope to match, plus constant events with most of them being from fun to insanely fun.

    As for the game itself.
It has some of the best lore, story, writing, and characters. We are talking about Mass Effect, StarCraft, and Final Fantasy levels here. And all of these get better with each update.
    Amazing visuals, exploration, immersion.
The best level design ever, with the second best being in a lower dimension universe.
Arguably the best OST of any game ever, I would only put Nier: Automata on the same level.
Great gameplay with a ton of depth, fun combat, and best of all it is one of the most polished games ever made.

Now, if only they improve the farming (character materials and artifacts), and add some of the event games permanently (for daily or weekly activities), this game will have no rival.

2 years later and its population keeps increasing (at around 63 million monthly players with 10+ million daily players), and they made more than $7 billion in just the first 2 years (probably close to 8 if not more with the 2nd year).
They also put a ton of that back into the game and related events. The game costed around $100 million for the development of 1.0, and they spend around $150-200 million each year after that for the updates (one of the reasons why no other game will ever get close to it).
Plus it will get an anime from Ufotable (many of the Fate series and Demon Slayer), which will undoubtedly be a masterpiece considering the studio, the budget, and the quality of the source material, which will bring even more people and money.

ps: The best thing for me that I have been playing since its first week, is that I got to watch the game grow and evolve in these 2 years. It started as a good game, and reached a masterpiece level in less than a year (with 2.0), and it only gets better after that.
At around 2.000 hours I can say that only 30-40 of them were boring because they were artifact and material farming (that's less than 30 minutes of boring gameplay per week in the 20 hours I play per week on average).

  3. TBH, I just want to see asmon giving the game a fair try and see his opinion on it….good and bad…all games has good parts about them and bad parts… I like his words "I try to not be judgmental about the game"…it's fine if people try things and don't like them and gives constructive opinion…but just screaming "loli-pedo-weeb shit" isn't very constructive it's just being hateful moron…saying "I don't like young kid-like looking characters" is fine (u can have opinion)

  5. I seriously wish every single fuckhead retard who keeps spewing the age old "FBI OPEN UP" to be executed with a shot to the neck. Holy fuck it's the cringiest form of spam and these fucking neanderthals can't stop repeating it like drones.

  6. I’m super casual about this game and I’ve really enjoyed it, especially while recovering from surgery and not having the energy to sit at my PC for very long. It looks amazing on my iPad and is super fun.

  7. The people immediately saying pedo shit when a child characters appear on screen are part of the problem, ignorant mf'ers. Reminds me of that time when that one Tiktoker said that Anya from Spy x Family is being sexualized when nothing sexual was even happening on screen. Sure that may attract a minor undesirable crowd but that's like shunning the victim and not the rapist.

If it is just portrayed to be cute, It's just cute don't be weird.

  8. I'd really love for people to first try out the game rather than call it bad game for weebs, pedo bait, basic waifu simulator, p2w etc.

The "pedo bait" thing comes from developers' mistake back from beta-full release changing a model but not dialogues on NPC.
It's the awful vocal minority that creates the atmosphere that if you like a small character you're a pedo. I'm getting Nahida, the first character from trailer, because I see her design and gameplay as amazing, not because of sexual attraction.
If you automatically view someone liking a character who's underage as a pedo… well, says a lot about your own maturity.

People who understand characters can easily disregard the stimulator part. Yes, the characters are a big part of Genshin, but they're not a must have. The point of Genshin's game is telling a story through the eyes of the traveller. And, well, because the graphics for NPCs would be cumbersome for phones the only characters that have unique appearance are the ones we can pull for or really important to story.

I don't watch much anime, mostly popular ones if I bother, the story and exploration thirst during covid is what got me into playing Genshin.

And there's a lot of people who are pure f2p and are completing hardest content this game has to offer with ease. I can't say it isn't predatory with its gacha system… but if you have the restrain, you can completely ignore it.

  9. to be fair, he manages to calm down the toxic part of his community and give genshin a better explaination for this time. (Basically he said he want to try genshin impact one day but if he just say that without any explaination he may get roasted lol)
