hoyoverse is definitely guilty for this because they know how to create a good character such as the liyue cast. Heck even a character like nilou or heizou got better treatment and they’re not even from liyue. So it’s obvious that they know how to create a good kit, they just stupidly on purpose decided to ruin dehya… although nothings gonna stop me from getting her, but hoyo should really consider fixing the issues.

YaoYao E, Barbara Normal attack to Bloom and Dehya E to Burgeon Bomb field. Repeat Yao Barbara normal bloom while on Dehya field continously. Dehya is built as a Burgeon Pyro landminer with wide field of multiple 14k damage. That's how it works.

Unless she's in a part of future teams where if she was given numbers that are too high she'd be broken, I think there's no hope for her at all. Yeah she's a defensive character sure, but when you look at other defensive characters they can all provide something else other than defensive utilities. What does she do other than the super armor she provide which only last for 9 sec (even if you reset her E with sacrificial greatsword the effect wouldn't reset so it's still 9 sec)? Well that is an interesting question
The answer to that question is that her E is similar to raiden's or albedo's E, they only proc on dmg. Which means, dehya's E will always be the trigger of whatever reaction she is a part of. That could be the key for her in the future, if there's any new reaction. At the moment that property doesn't get to be fully utilized, it's not because the reactions we have atm are bad, but rather she was made to be unable to utilize those reactions. So I think it's safe to assume in the future there will be a reaction where she's the only one (until new pyro characters release) who can properly utilize it. Because other than that I find absolutely no reason for such design choices at all.
With those hopium aside, other than having terrible numbers her kit itself is still a rather underwhelming one. Not only does her E have long downtime at C0, her E has a schrodinger's AOE radius, poor particles generation, and a hitbox that doesn't make sense (referring to how she can't trigger burgeon against certain enemies). With such a horrible baseline even if what I said just now turned to reality, I doubt it's gonna make a meaningful difference because her numbers are the least of her problems. It's the same thing as doubling or tripling the numbers of 77 and her kit is still bad.
So yeah, she definitely needs a buff. Guys, don't say something like "well she's a standard character of course she's gonna be bad". A character can be "bad", but not this bad. If we allow this to stay the way it is what's stopping them from making even worse characters in the future? You may feel like this is none of your business because you didn't pull nor do you like the character. But one day if the character you like receive this kind of treatment, you'd know how it feels. So please, make hoyoverse change her kit. It doesn't have to be a game breaking change, just make her kit acceptable and make sense.

People just used for new characters that carry your team. Dehya is just not in that role. She is a great utility character for team. But yea – ult canceling need to be fixed. And it would be good if her ult interracts with other skills like Yelan ult. She will be solid option from standart banner pulls on pair with Mona after Tighnari and Keqing (If you still need damaging characters)
No.. don't fucking buff dehya. They must learn to play different team comps. I only see fucking beidou, xingqiu, yelan or other character that want to combo. Mihoyo has created many characters and still wants combo beidou, xingqiu and yelan? What a fucking useless.

Wdym she is actually really good infinite health and takes the dmg for her allies and to add up she heals herself after going bellow 40%. If anything she's unique and pretty cool, now if she did have the same attack levels as other characters, that will make her a lil too OP(to be honest that ain't rlly a problem since Ganyu and such characters exist) but imagine a un-dying character who does 30,000~50,000 dmg. I mean at her current level she can't rlly kill a slime above level70 with burst but HoYoverse is tryna take a deferent approach on her a tanky character style IG. But I do get it players love this character and want to make her OP. A thing like this never happened (excluding Zhongli incident heh. But miHoYo(past) probably only changed then because Zhongli is an archon). Not to put anyone on a downward spiral but this is my take on the situation.

My lv90 C0-Dehya has burst that cannot finish Childe phase 1 in one go.
Why fukin dumb Hoyo just not delete the damage multiplier of Dehya to zero.
Even my Razor + serpent spine can finish boss childe phase 1 below 10 seconds.
It is so disgusting how Hoyo turn her into this crappy 5*.. she have such a good impression when we reach Sumeru and all the way to the end of Nahida quest, yet Hoyo just turn 1 of the best Genshin character that have impact in archon lore and badass design to a shit show. Just because you guys mistakenly made Bennett and Xiangling OP, doesn't mean the future pyro character have to take the hit(Yoimiya, Thoma, Xinyan and Dehya). They're fcking innocent! It's your guys fault for not double checking the og 4*s
I want to her, hopefully in the future when I lose 50/50 I get her. Standard banner need system like weapon banner. At least 2 time fail getting targeted character/weapon, the 3rd 5* is a guarantee.
HP/EM Burgeon Thoma exists that has unli-shield & good pyro application…so Dehya looks like a budget version of him.
