  1. People are just so sensitive. If you don't like the rewards then stop playing. I find it surprising how people find these actions normal. CN is known for being toxic as hell, this is just embarrassing.

  2. So this is why people are comparing Star rail and Genshin together.
    -Star rail devs clearly care for their players : free 10 pulls every update with new 5*, end game contents, free limited 5* character as a thank you gift, gives us jade when it’s our birthday. Overall, more jades for wishing, more care for players.
    -Genshin Impact was a disappointment : anniversary drama cause stingy, birthday gifts included a lovey dovey letter with cake-fragile resin, free 5* that are limited but no constellations, signature weapon not easy to get (aka Aloy). Overall, stingy.
    -They are a big and rich company, they can give genshin players a free 5* but somehow they wouldn’t. Standard 5* like characters or weapons are still better than nothing. Now that we know the leaks are wrong about skins, this makes Genshin devs shittier than before.
    Edit: damn people are having conversations down in the comments. Agree with me or not, i think we can all agree that Genshin players deserve better if not a little bit better. Oh and Genshin still stingy.

  4. It was their time to redeem themselves after so much time with minimum rewards for the community, but I also think that this wouldn't have been so bad if Honkai Star Rail didn't give away L+ratio for free

  5. If I was a successful YouTuber, I would’ve maybe consider traveling to China to get the ps5 since I personally don’t got one atm. Would also make for some good vlog footage as well.

  6. Having a four star selector rather than being given the newest skin would be a nice QoL feature for newer players. Won't make a difference for those of us playing since the first skin was added, as we'll just take the newest four star skin anyway. But I doubt they're doing it this year. They probably just needed something to toss into the PS5 pack and they figured that letting players pick a costume was better than giving a particular one, especially given the RNG and delay between banners for characters. So they made some new tech for it. But that does mean, if people react about it, that maybe we'll see it next year, in a skins for four stars only way.

    As to the Chinese players being upset with the CNY rewards, well, Genshin is stingy, and not just with primos. But the rewards are basically the same as in previous years, though being an older game now may be why players want more. That said, I see the CNY complaints as them being whiny snots. Doubly so if they were among those upset by the Chinese government proposal to push back on predatory gacha practices. But if they were to complain about poor rewards in general, too much artifact RNG (so resin is also pretty unrewarding), lack of rewarding things to do that aren't either A) time limited and/or B) done just like that, then, yeah, more power to them. Genshin has a lot of promise in what it could be, but it makes no effort to actually live up to that potential.

    That said, if they actually said something stupid like 1 pull per year, then, yeah, that's definitely a marketing bit of stupidity. You can do a 10 pull per year, people would love that. But 1 per year, when there's a 0.6% of a five star? People are going to see that as insult. You're better off giving nothing over that.

  7. I don't know why genshin players jump to conclusions so often. Literally the only info we had about the skin selector was a very broken UI element, NOTHING ELSE. What the skin selector would be used for was never confirmed. Now genshin players are mad about something that THEY MADE UP.

    What Genshin really needs is normal Loadouts, skip to dialogues which were seen by player already, replayable events.

  9. look up the producer for genshin impact HI3 and HSR
    the previous producer for HI3 was really stingy and he is the current producer for genshin
    after he left HI3 the new one who is now the producer of HI3 and HSR is very giving away a lot more compared to genshin's producer he needs to be changed immediately

    But Genshin Team is highly stingy with rewards I have to say

    If the skin selector was free to everybody at least the saying "Genshin could never" could simmer down a bit, these few primogems and ten pulls are getting a bit dry personally.

  11. Finally moved from low Welkin player to full F2P after this one, not because of it, but because after 4 years Hoyo is too dumb to understand how being kind to the players is the decent thing to do. Gacha simps can suck Hoyo’s D 😂

  12. Theyre never gonna listen as long as people still dump money in this what couldve been a great game. Go play other games that arent mobile or gacha and save urself the frustration lol (p3r waiting room xdd)

  13. Genshin – Play what you want, oneshot everything anyway…
    HSR – Play what you want and spend half an hour in defeating enemy in quest and/or play who you must and spend couple of minutes against the same enemies…

    Btw, based on Akasha and Prydwen statistics in compare all characters who completed SA and MoC, in Genshin best and worst times between characters is just a 18.1 seconds (best Xingqui, Bennet, Xiangling, Fischl, worst Amber, Itto, Neuvilette somehow, Lisa), in HSR 11.2 minutes… Death count in Genshin 1.4%, in HSR 32%… Character efficiency – Genshin – 1.2% 5*/51% 4*, HSR – 55% 5*/11% 4*….
    So simple mathematics and statistics needed to see that in HSR is more critical to have specific characters and especially 5* characters, rather than in Genshin (in compare, not that 5* do not do good in Genshin, they do, but in same Genshin you play 5* or 4* you still oneshot everything you see, in HSR matchmaking just with 4* characters still can complete almost anything, but will spend a lot more time on that in compare to 5* focused teams, also older characters falling from meta quite a lot in HSR, when in Genshin meta almost did not change, only expanded rather than shifted and the biggest fall have Zhongli with -5% for last year (from 46% to 41% win/lose/death rate according to Akasha Systems), in HSR characters like Seele fall down from 50%, down to 1.2% win/lose/death rate according to Prydwen statistics), also exact the same image is on any other statistics tracking sources…
    And it's not about good or bad, that's just different approach and one of the problems of Genshin is promotion of rewards, while HSR does it right, same free 5* is just a dust in the eyes on fact, cos value of 4* in Genshin is the same as value of 5* in HSR and in Genshin it's much more preferable to have Xingqui, Bennet, Xiangling, Yao Yao, Fischl etc… rather than 5* DPS, you do not even need a 5* character in Genshin to oneshot everything, when even Prydwen statistics shows that in HSR difference is much bigger, especially in Hyper Carry and Carry roles.
    And not that rewards are good or something and of course I'd like to have more, but they are not as bad in compare to HSR if dig into the topic more seriously and compare actual outcome.

  14. That explains why Genshin music keeps getting removed from YouTube every time I add them to a playlist. ^_^;
    As for the skin issue, honestly, I didn't believe the theories about the skin box, and don't feel people should expect to get anything they heard from a leak or rumor. But after Star Rail gave Ratio away, HoYoverse needs to do something 5* character related, either give players a 5* character or let us select one from the standard pool. I don't know about you, but I don't need or care about getting another 4* character from Liyue's Lantern Rite selection, that's only good for new players.
    On a related note, a lot of people keep trying to turn this into an issue between the development teams, then say that "they're different studios" so one's not responsible for the other, but giving or not giving a 5* away is a marketing decision that falls on corporate, the dev teams have nothing to do with it, and if anything would probably have no problem giving a 5* away as an anniversary reward.
    But there is actually one future issue that a lot people haven't considered, the can of worms Honkai Star Rail will face, since players are now going to expect a free 5* every year.
