  1. Lately there were almost nothing of upcoming banners leaks, or were so inaccurate, I don't understand why the one's defending leaks, don't see them as Spoilers, there shouldn't be any spoiler for the lore, music or Dialogues, anything else asides upcoming banners

  2. If they officially announced character banners as far ahead as two banners from current patch it would probably mitigate interest in leaks by 90 percent. They could easily make little vignettes on new characters a month or two before their release showing off their animations and simply slap a 'still in development' on the video. There are numerous low effort options available to mihoyo to diminish the impact/interest of leaks, which makes you wonder why they don't pursue any of them.

  3. Nah…. I do look at leaks from time to time involving how a new character's kit might look like..but knowing that it's leaked info, I always take it with a grain of salt. Having worked in an industry that can be impacted by leaks, I don't feel too sorry for leakers if they are pursued. As you mentioned, they won't go after small time leakers…it's the big leakers that push the envelope just far enough for the corporation to take action.. If things like a road map are hidden within code, it's not out of bounds to say it is bait for data miners. "We put it there, we didn't release it to the public. You violated the terms." The downside of leakers is that it's not just players who consume the content they distribute.. Corporate competition is keeping an eye out for these things too. If a leaker exposes new unreleased gameplay mechanics that are in a beta state, and then post it online, they are essentially giving information to competitors in advance of any official announcement.I wouldn't be too surprised if this was part of the ongoing situation

  4. The leaks in this community are so unavoidable if you have daily interactions with the franchise… i am trying to avoid them as well as i can, bc i hate to know about everything of content that is being released in 3 months from now as it just takes away all my anticipation for the new stuff while also turning it into an "endless" time of waiting. We have the update streams for a reason…

  5. No matter how you splice it, "Leaks" ARE a super detriment to Hoyoverse AND to the ones that don't want to see it (spoilers).

You can put your bias in thinking its good to have them and not harmful enough, blah blah……NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
Its a MAJOR ToS/DMCA breach, like have you ever gone through contracting?

And Yes many of the top leakers are doing this for monetary gain, you are lying and giving them an image of saintly dues…..Just stop…If you dig enough through them you will find that some funding is being done for these leaks to come out.

Honestly you sound like a failure of a YTber if you think its okay to openly allow illegal practice, just cause it benefits you.

  6. Fully support Hoyoverse on this matter. The only concern I have is that they have to spend our gacha money on those legal issues, the money that could be otherwise spent on improving the game.

  7. im gonna be honest, i really want all the leakers to cool down, and if possible just, not leak. they show way too many things, even in thumbnails alone, so i can't just not watch it, since they spoil everything anyway. at this point its getting irritating, sure by all means leak character kits no problem with that, but the fact that they are leaking important cutscenes is getting on my nerves.

  8. Okay. Ban the leakers. Sue them. Idc. But why don't you improve yourself and give us a roadmap or end game content, hoyoverse? They don't care about players at all. Maybe it's time players show them their place~

  9. I think Hoyo wants us to spend more because not knowing who’s coming makes us more susceptible to FOMO. They want to make f2p players and low spenders become whales. I mean they are a business. Player welfare is never in the priority. (as with any business)

  10. I don't like ANY leaks (Including banner and new character leaks), so I'm glad they are somewhat trying to combat them. I really wish there was some way that I could completely block them out so I don't accidently come across them. It's really so annoying that I have to be on guard at all times while online just so that I can avoid leaks.

  11. I mean…. We basically got the whole datamine of the location of patch 4.0 shortly after Sumeru dropped lol. I definitely agree that they're at least somewhat tactic in what gets out there.

  12. I mean the amount of polls I see that have something about characters to save for and I see known names but then from time to time I'll see a name I nvr heard of like at the time kaveh, faruzan, Layla, I scratch my head thinking, huh? It's quite annoying. This is just me, I'm no fan of leaks and once I see or here them I'm like well ok where are they, then I wait months until I see the actual release and there's no hype whatsoever. It kills the game for me which is why I prefer watching tectone, soul, mtashed, as they rarely if at all discuss leaks, but either way if you watch gi content, huge chance leaks will show up in some form, it won't stop ofc but I couldn't care less what happens to those actively doing it, it's against policy and they know that so if legal action becomes nessessity, so be it.
