Dont feel compelled to not skip the story. Play however you want. It kinda gets more lengthy. And if you want to know the story there r many channels who recap the archon and side quests so dont feel forced to do it.
Bro every end of an archon quest you can talk to that person with couple dialogue, like Venti which you straight up skip it, those are loreeeeeeeee, don't skip man. It the setup Hoyoverse do for all the quest.
