  1. Sorry for the lowbeat video. It pains me to talk about this as I do love the game and the community so very much. I am willing to respond to comments in this video that truly want to talk/discuss the current state of the game. I feel everyone deserves to have their voices heard and we should respect each other's opinions. Just for today, I'll be your Genshin Impact therapist!

  2. Genshin's endgame is a lot more enjoyable when you don't force yourself to play more than you should. The game is still young, for a gatcha game at least, so content is lacking. We're experiencing the game as it's expanding, so it's going to be a journey.

At the moment, the game is designed to benefit players who log in everyday, but not those who spend countless hours on it each day. It's basically forcing you not to play it too much, which can be good or bad depending on the person. People can complain about there not being enough content, but they have to understand that the game is a work in progress and that new characters are some form of content. Don't play it as your main game and you won't get burnt out. Just cruise allowside the game, doing the daily routines, and see what's coming out each update.

The game has other problems than the content. Hackers are the main one. That should be Mihoyo's top priority over content, imo.

  3. Most of time we forget that MiHoYo is a small company, the news I heard is that they are actively take job applications about account security. Giving they time… I will.

  4. I just think way too many people got into genshin thinking it was gonna be something that it really isnt; some kind of MMO or ARPG with endless loopable grinding(if we had that the drop rates would be even worse just so everyone knows) and are so deep in the sunken cost fallacy now that they just cant bring themselves to get away from the game.

Guys please, do not sacrifice your mental health over any game that isnt currently enjoyable for you. It's OK to walk away. It's ok to come back later. It's a single player PvE game, dont let FOMO cause you to feel obligated to continue playing. You arent gonna be "left behind" in a single player game. I want improvements as much as anyone else, but im aware how gachas are and how a vast majority of them are just not the greatest at launch and through their first year of release, so im just playing the waiting game for now with my friends that keep me going with genshin.

  5. Here's the thing people. Mihoyo has map plan on this game and don't expect too much content in just months after launch, its not how it works. Its not totally not being heard but its too early to already be implemented. Resin issue still? really? its not really an issue. if they gonna optimize it, probably on coming updates and not now cause GI is just new and contents are really narrow. If world bosses and domains are starting to mount up then that's the time that the Resin system issue is really valid if they not gonna optimize it. Accept the fact that this game is a mobile game and contents are gonna dry up. Play other games or quit it for the moment and comeback. They are time gating the events because the plans are there but not yet gonna implement cause they have a timeline that needs to be followed. Don't be such narrow minded player that all the content are ready and gonna give it to you on the start of the game.

  6. Lol you should of just said Tectone instead of the content creator. Regardless, the biggest irk from someone saying "just quit" is the fact people spent money on this game, if you quit you literally create that line of "my investment is no longer worth it" which is such a finality. Yet all the requested changes are from unreasonable so why is it up to the player to just give up on it?

  7. I may offer a solution. I'm no pro-gamer, nor do I study game makin'; not even someone who understands the business aspect of the gamin' industry, what I have in mind is just comin' from someone who plays games for enjoyment.
inhales Is Mihoyo….not even aware….of how many players….would whine or complain less…..if they would increase……their in-game rewards……just a lil' bit more…..than what they're currently dishin' out? Like, your game is literally about tryin' out different characters; at least help your playerbase earn resources by givin' a substantial amount to start with daily, weekly, or monthly. I'm not sayin' give away everythin', like instead of givin' 12000-somethin mora, a few pcs of green material; 20 primogems, and some companionship exp for dailies in WORLD LEVEL 8; can ya share just a lil bit more to your playerbase? Give back to the community, give em' more reasons to log-in in forms of give-away resources; like if weekly logins is goin' to be a monthly patch thing, why not a daily roulette that has mora, ores, and stuff that everybody gets a free roll. Every end week, ya get to choose between 5 boxes or whatever and see what ya get that'll help ya in-game; and instead of "web-based" monthly logins, would it possible to have it in-game for every player's security?

Have more engagement with ya players, this is just a good way to say thank you for the support and hence promisin' more commitment to come in Genshin Impact.

  8. MHY have created a beast that I'm currently not certain they know how to deal with right now.
As mentioned, it's attracted people from all over and many first time gacha players. Does MHY
adapt to the overall playerbase to some degree, or do they stick with the gacha approach and
risk losing a heap of players and just satisfy their whales and gacha veterans.

It's my first gacha and I'm not a F2P, by no means a whale either, I question myself if I should
just walk away. MHY is a company, bottom line is always money, just getting the feeling that is
practically all they care about atm, not really seeing any substantial improvements to the product,
but at the same time it is early days in it's life.

  9. Coming from a game like Destiny that started out subpar, but still had its devs and community managers communicating with its consumers more than once a month it is very frustrating to be left completely in the dark with Genshin unless something hurts their money. And honestly, that doesn’t bode well for any future interactions. It’s a great game and I do want to keep playing, but not at the cost of being their IV wallet that’s not supposed to speak.

  10. People is afraid to quit because they afraid to miss a lot of resources and thats a bad perspective because if you keep doing that you will get burn out and eventually dont enjoy the game anymore because gacha game will never running out of giving resources, play gacha game safely because it is supposed to be grindy and Hoarding resources

  11. I agree that if people are complaining about the game can quit whenever. However, people really like this game and have a lot of time invested in it. It’s throwing away your first stuffed animal, you can do it whenever but it has value to you. Also I think FOMO( fear of missing out) also has a bit to do with this. In a game where there’s limited character banners of course people won’t want to miss out on cool new characters.
In conclusion, people have lots of time invested in the game and really like the game. They just want to be able to enjoy the genshin rather than it feeing like an obligation.

  12. I think the biggest part of the frustration from the community is the potential. I think everyone who plays this game sees that this has the potential to be the greatest game of all time. But it has some glaring weaknesses that really effect the quality of the game for end game players. It's like people want to support Mihoyo and the game but Mihoyo doesn't give us reason to give them the benefit of the doubt. Obviously everything they do is for money but I feel like If they catered to the players a little it would even out gains from longevity of player retention. It feels like they are just trying to soak all the money now and they don't care about the future instead of playing the long game which I feel like would actually earn them more

  13. That lack of competition is spot on. I haven't heard anything like GI since its release let alone before that. Sure there's elements of what's in it in other games but GI has all that I enjoy, a non pvp game, that if you play on PC or Mobile, is cross platform, open world with gorgeous environment, beautiful anime character designs – I am already simping for that certain Cryo Claymore Knight from Mondstadt – with insanely fun gameplay. Don't even start on the lore, how the characters and story been designed and the inspirations really blow my mind.

So yes, I still enjoy playing Genshin. Sure I gripe on things I'm not happy with but maybe because I don't sit down playing it for 8 hours a day makes me still be excited to log in to complete my dailies after a long day at work.

I just want to continue to believe 'tech otakus save the world' and it is not just profit driven.. yes its a business but I really hope they scrutinize those surveys we did and listen before there is a need for a competitor to make them listen better.

  14. I think if u don't like it, stop playing is a good advice. Just play the parts of Genshin Impact you like and ignore the parts you do not.
    Also. There are other games…

  15. Clearly they know their competitor are mostly on development, that's why they don't even bother doing much not even smth about 2fa and data breach
ni no kuni and time to hunt for example, but well let's just hope mihoyo steps up their game before then

  16. Teccy said "If you say you want to quit (if you are bored), then quit" not "if you dont like this, then quit". Its frustration towards the whiny hot air, than the actual complains

  17. i new that genshin impact is not a good kind of game, but i hoped meaby it will do something like no man sky did and will become good, i dont see that happening at all, at this point genshin impact is just mihoyo`s money printer so why fix something that is not broken

  18. While this is probably the best take on the matter , one of the things that worry me the most though is that while yes , competition would be our best bet to see improvements , Im afraid that when any decent game that is like genshin would release , It will be too late and players would've made the "big leap" to that new game already and moved on ; Because the game has been really dry that any new game would suffice the content people want and would show them that gacha is greedy.

Blueprotocol , Tower of fantasy and the many more that will come after seeing genshin's popularity ,not to mention BotW 2 to sweep them all ,
Im afraid change needs to happen sooner than later…

  19. Honestly with the content creator you mentioned I feel like they make a lot of bad takes that kind of just add fuel to the fire and while I can understand they are under lots of pressure they only split the community apart even more

  20. U know what frustrated me, its the security system. Thats all. I want them to do smth about it. 😩 i have never complain about their content. Yes some are hard for me but nonetheless its still fun with friends. But the thought of me account can easily be destroyed or sell to other is what scared me. Im just a low spender but spend so much time and memory with my friend in this game. And i would be sad if they are destroyed or gone. 🥲

  21. Things won't change. The reason they won't change is because it is blatantly obvious that Mihoyo came into this game with the moneygrab mindset and all their expertise in the field. They had a winning formula – after years of HI3, they refined gacha to a point where people are moderately satisfied, people can get some characters by playing, a constant struggle at endgame exists – this however was not without flaws, as they have the gacha artifact drop, unbalanced competitive ladderboard, necessity to have a ton of S ranks to even compete endgame etc. So, you'd think they'd take all the good parts and fix the uglier ones, yes? Well, no – they fixed the uglier bits and took none of the good parts. Why? Because they know that when a game first launches, an avalanche of sales will skyrocket them through, and they know they must be tight handed to get all those profits. It's the typical crappy cashgrab mobile game mindset, and it frustrates me terribly that a product with such potential was targeted to be used in this way. It should be a crime, and it indeed is in places like the Netherlands (well, to some degree at least). Obviously their strategy worked, they themselves admitted they had garnered enough funds to secure, what was it, 5 years of development, in the first 2 months? The game can now die down for all they care; when it dwindles to 1000 concurrent players they might consider changing something. And this is the sad reality – you can't change this behemoth even if you quit. And you have no alternatives. Mihoyo is manipulative and well aware of this fact.

Hopefully a better, more upright developer will come out and produce a similar game soon enough, but without the gacha and all the bullshit. I would do it myself already, I've got a game project in the works that couls be easily repurposed, if only polishing it wouldn't cost a couple million dollars.

  22. It's also that Genshin's momentum wasn't sustained, content-wise. You get two regions right off the bat in the first 2 patches. With that, you'd think the 3rd region would come in the patch coming right after, which didn't happen, hence disappointment and frustration. Mihoyo set a precedent that hasn't really been matched in the recent months, so it feels like they're underdelivering.

  23. I see a lot of people complaining that security is bad and there's not enough content. But what if MiHoyo is already working on security, but they don't say anything so that hackers don't know what they're doing? Also, people say there's not enough content, but what exactly is content? Like, what is that "content" they so much want. Maybe if people told MiHoyo what kind of content they want instead of just asking for "content", MiHoyo would listen. Also, we have to remember that this game is still not completed, we only have 2 of 7 nations, so there's still much more content to come. I do agree that rewards need a buff (more Primogems), and also more ways to obtain them, but we have to remember this game is not complete, so we haven't seen everything that will be in it, and there will probably be something where we can obtain more and better rewards. Also, the Abyss Spiral (is that what it's called? I play in Spanish) gives more than 2k primogems in total, so there's that.

  24. I think a big part of players feeling underwhelmed with this game isn't only players coming from different backgrounds, but from completely different platforms. Mihoyo made it a point to release this for PC and console as well as their usual mobile platform. I think a good portion of PC and console players, both those familiar and unfamiliar with gacha games, thought that Genshin would be a more content heavy game geared toward player retention and reward for time invested, like many live service games. PC and console players typically play many many more hours that mobile users. And that is because the majority of console and PC games are specifically designed to offer challenge, rewards, and systems that keep players invested long term. And as we know, a big gripe over the last few years in regard to games on PC and console has been monetization in general. So the lack of challenging content, lack of quality reward vs the time investment automatically seems like a blatant cash grab by Mihoyo to many gamers who came from the PC and console markets. When the rewards don't scale based on character and world level and time invested, and the content updates only provide small distractions, rather than an ongoing challenge or goal of some type, I think a lot of players begin to form the opinion that Mihoyo's only reason for keeping them around is to keep spending money, rather than rewarding them for playing the game. And by rewarding I'm not only referring to upgrade materials or primos/resin, I'm also referring to rewards as far as engaging activities, mechanics, etc.

  25. My only issue in the game is spending a ps5 to get a 3D model idk why this isn’t mention enough. People are like go free to play, but at the current state new character is the new content.

  26. GI as a game is great but has the lowest tier of monetisation compared to other gacha. (Plus lack of progres.)
Looking at honkai this is obvious that they want squeeze every last $.
This is very short term plan. They could be next Wow but if this go little longer this end as niche or worst will be scraped.
