s alot of players thats crazy over fontaine and etc. Real die hard fans of Genshin, we play for the fun of the game. Its really not that serious.
Not really interested in the banners.I guess I could grab a copy of Zhongli to C1 him but I don't really feel I need it. I don't have child but I don't really play bows much because I am on the PS5 most of the time and I have plenty of other neglected bow users to play first. New don't do it for me at all.
I feel the new Pneuma-Ousia mechanics will be fine since while it's simpler to use a fontaine character, you can also use other characters, it'll just be like the geograna from Liyue. And I'm sure they'll remove or alter this mechanic when they add these enemies into the abyss.
Wait hold up, in the abyys I'm going to basically be forced to use these new characters.
Damn as a veteran player playing on and off since 1.1, my relationship with the game has been compete abyys and of there's a combat event do that and that's it. And I'm cool with it, I wish there was more but there's other stuff to do.
But if they force me to use fountaine characters to clear abyys, abyys is the only thing that motivates me and that actually might end up being the nail on the coffin for me. Idk gotta see how it actually works when it comes out but that's such a huge red flag for me personally.
To be honest I will play the exploration and story but not interested in the new character banners. Even before the Fontaine teasers I was really never interested in this region, but we will see, I would like to be wrong.
Heard from a very controversial theory crafter from CN that Lyney's damage in PTR is off the charts and if you play him in mono pyro with or without Kazuha, he buries every single mono carries before him, Itto, Wanderer, Ayaka, Xiao, etc. None of their mono team's damage is remotely close to Lyney's let alone the fact that Lyney's from Fountain and can interact with the Pneuma and Ousia mechanics that none of the old characters can, and this mechanic is infinitely close to be guaranteed in the Spiral Abyss. Therefore, if compared to Sumeru, the very first Sumeru 5 star is Tighnari, who's not remotely as strong as Nahida the Dendro Archon. The first limited 5 star in Sumeru is Cyno, even worse than Tighnari.
So yeah, power creep is real this time. I pray to God that they won't let these numbers of Lyney make it to live server.

The above ground area I'm excited for, the underwater piece I don't really care for, but maybe it will grow on me.
What's getting me is I don't want any of the 4.0 units. I want Navia, Neuvillete, and Furina. The rest I dont' care about and none of them seem like they're coming anytime soon. Hopium we get Navia for the anniversary in 4.1 and get the extra pulls to go with it. That would be nice.
Yeah I love it! Tbh I'm a hardcore genshin fan; but I play it more or less like intended. I don't always complete all the events and such, so I have something to do later on when I feel like it. But I do complete all of it eventually.
I'm really impressed by fontaine. It's a lot and a nice piece of content. I'm also already set on having a guaranteed Lyney and I plan on playing Lynette with him to see double cat trouble.I have loads of xp books, mora, artifact fodder and a 5 star weapon (yoimiya's best in slot) for Lyney all saved up. I also saved up resin from the battle pass, and plan on using it for him. I saved 2 crowns, so that when fontaine is out and a event happens, I can have 3 and max Lyney out.
The underwater area seems beautiful. I'm so excited for it, just as much as when the desert area first came out and I could see my characters footsteps in the sand. Just incredibly beautiful. Really, I find genshin's art just amazing and I enjoy it every time I return to the game.
New features, new story, new characters/artifact sets. Really life is great. So excited!

Funny how combat related features seems so uninspired now. Lynney burst is just the same as kirara. Lynnet is also the same as yelan skill.
Tcg, exploration, story, music are all good but playing this game for gameplay and combat really wants to force me to quit. Good thing im still interested in the archon quest tho.

Man, I really despise the Dev Team of this game. I've invested money in this game, hoping they would improve the QoL of the game, but nope. They're still treating us poorly, as if it's the right thing to do.

Genshin livestreams had been so short and boring lately, I only hoped for this one to get me hype. Wouldn't dare expect more. Surely it could manage its basic function?
Well, thankfully it did. I'm interested to try Fontaine's exploration and discover its archon quest. But for a first patch player like me, I can say, it won't be enough. Not when they did so much to get me to look elsewhere and play other games.

The state of the units and the geo element gotta get addressed sooner rather than later too. I'm someone who was looking forward to Dehya, they did nothing to redeem themselves about that mess.
They have a lot to answer to and improve. I don't know if they realize how much they played with fire.

If they were scared about their player population they would go the desperate gacha route: Cheaper top-ups, 5-star selectors, additional resin, free pulls, shower us with rewards, in-game log-in bonuses, etc.
Genshin is fine and will be fine for a long time. Furina(Foucalours) will sell like catgirl-flavored hotcakes.
4.0 is looking fun and will probably bring up some new players with all the marketing they are doing.
