I personally feel like Xingqiu should be higher on the list. Xingqiu has close to a monopoly on hydro application for dps units. Electro charged, frozen, vaporise – he's the person you're looking for. So many teams would not function without him.
Of course, I'm a bit biased as a Xingqiu main, but that's expected haha
Amber is one of my best-geared characters. She has a level 90 Amos and as much crit damage as I could give her with 4pc Troupe. She still only hits 22k melt crits. Meanwhile, my mediocre-gear Klee (Dodoco and 4pc Troupe) hits 30k+ melt crits on charge attacks without her A1 or Dodoco passives.
You're definitely overstating Beidou's energy requirements. I have her at 193.6% ER and R2 Katsuragikiri Nagamasa in a double electro comp alongside Barbara and Fischl. Even if Oz isn't on the field, onfield Beidou still gets enough energy for her burst before its cd is over. You just need 2 charged/perfect counters, and she'll be at max energy.
Sayu is incredibly underrated on this list. She swirls so much damage while also healing your team based on her EM. I'd say she's easily better than Jean, because she swirls more, heals more, and doesn't have the incredible clunkiness of Jean's kit. Jean's burst doesn't deal damage on the inside and her skill is incredibly interruptable. Her energy cost is insane. Worst of all, if you swirl certain enemies with Jean, she ends up hurting herself somehow. I think it's something about how Overload and Superconduct work when enemies infuse themselves with pyro, electro, or cryo.
Klee may be slightly overrated. Her burst gets cancelled if you switch her out, and you don't get any compensation for it unless she's at C4. She needs to be on field as much as possible, but she's very fragile and vulnerable, and more and more enemy types are heavy enough that she can't consistently interrupt them. The Nobushi are the most significant example of this.
Lastly, you forgot Electro Traveler. Also, maybe differentiate the Travelers by adding their element symbols.
I mostly agree with your tier list. The only issue I have is Razor being in B Tier. I really feel that he deserves to be in A tier. But, like you said, we all have our opinions on character tier lists. 🙂
I agree to alot of them except:
Beidou should be S tier for her strong niche 2 target dps. I think I am bias as I have kazuha for support but with Baal and Kujou supports, Beidou will rightfully be in that tier list.
Tartaglia should be SS tier with xingqiu as I think he is better enabler for xiangling due to his AOE hydro application
Diluc can also use rainslasher but still high A tier
The enemies just got nerfed for venti
Idk for me making the game even more brain dead ez is a Big minus. Venti and Zhong are ultra boring characters…. Same for pointless whaling pff
Eula with Baal – new meta sss tier.
Meanwhile, other content creators are still full on the "Zhongli is just comfort" COPIUM.

i personally would put ning in S tear because i use her ALWAYS in my party when outside of domains/abyss
I was like… where are they going to put xiangling? i personally would put her above everyone except for kazuha, ganyu, zhongli and maybe ayaka or benet

Idk, I find Qiqi to apply cryo constantly and heal a lot, overshadowing Diona in that aspect. But Diona's shield feels sturdy.

24:00 I think Eula will raise a tier on the next patch not only because of Raiden but also Zhongli buff, or shield buff in general for Diona too. I don't like using Diona with her cuz the shield is not strong enough most of the time or I just use both Diona and Zhongli if I really need the battery. But on 2.1 they will fix the shield taking dmg on burst animation bug, Eula burst animation take a long ass time and you really don't want to dodge and focusing on increasing stack with her normal+E right after the burst start, so strong shield will help a lot and this fix will be so good in the abyss where enemies attack nonstop.
I do wish they fix the weird timing on the burst energy being used so late, in most characters right after you press Q the energy bar will be used and you can take in energy particles, IE Xiao, etc. But Eula cannot take flying particles because her burst animation is so long and your energy is only deducted after the animation and not right at the start. You can either use sucrose+double Xiao E or use triple Xiao E if you got his cons while Eula, she sometimes can't even take the energy if you use her E right before Q let alone from switching character esp if you have a high ping. Unlike Xiangling or other high energy cost burst, Eula not only she can't funnel energy before her burst, but you also can't switch her and have to do full combo for at least 7-8 seconds with her to gain max dmg so her energy problem is actually one of the biggest. Xiao is much much easier to gain full burst uptime.
Anyway TenTen also release a tier list and it is interesting to compare yours with him but surprisingly I agree with you both. TenTen focuses more on value esp as a new player/F2P that doesn't have every character and overall use while you guys focus more on combat and abyss and the peak potential/peak team comp and both are valid. For example, I'm almost AR57 as a low spender, I got all 4-star exc for Sayu and a decent amount of 5 stars but I didn't get most of the top tier like Ganyu, Venti, Hu Tao, Kazuha and Ayaka so Morgana is not an option and the value of Mona drop significantly as her best team comp is with Ganyu and Ayaka so, in this case, TenTen is more in line with my experience but if you do have Morgana team then Mona is indeed S tier.
I knew it IWTL doesn't like Diluc . He really biased against Diluc . Just because Diluc doesn't have good weapons and uses Xingqiu he is worse than Yoimiya ? Have you tried running Yoimiya without a shielder ? If you don't have Zhongli playing Yoimiya is really frustrating also she only starts to be good only with high investment . A newer player is much better off using Diluc that Yoimiya . Diluc is a dps that requires zero skill and has no caveats . Yoimiya should be lower than Diluc because she is too conditional .
Zhongli's the worst character tbh
Here's why:
– completely ruins your ability to dodge
– you pulling him means you can only have three characters in your team now (only applies to one team in abyss)
– makes you consider upgrade weird weapon like the black tassel
– you randomly start seeing… weird shapes in weird places if you use him with geo traveler (seriously why does that keep happening anyway?)
– keeps kicking his spear (that thing took effort and materials to upgrade man, show some respect)
– throws rock at Bennett (probably)

I'm a fairly new player and it took me a couple hours but i finally got Xiangling from the Abyss. After i got her, my first single wish on the standard banner got me a dupe of her lmao
My sayu heals 5k per second 8 times. That's 40k. That's not small healing. And BTW, she doesn't even have a healing bonus. That's just raw healing. She also does 30k swirl dog per skill use, and typically does significantly more then that fromm the ER it causes. Says is SS tier hands down. As for ER, my setup allows me to use my ULT every single time it refreshes. That only leaves a 3 second gap where her mujimujindaruma isn't on the field giving my contact healing while also dealing dmg. With that being. She's also c6 soooo,…but even at c0 she still did 3,5k per second. Side note, she also heals 1000hp everytime she swirls during her E. So yeah, lots of heals, soon, much fun, let's u catch crystal flies, frogs, crabs and lizards, and makes traveling faster. SS tier.
