  12. Haven’t started this particular quest of hers but even with just her archon quest; I have to agree that she is indeed the best written archon/character to date.

    I can’t get over the burden, really it was a curse, placed on Furina. To be given the title of a god, the responsibilities of god, and the longevity of a god but not godlike powers…and to effectively deceive her people for their own safety for 500 years…wow.

    Unable to tell anyone how she really feels, how incredibly lonely she was. Even when she had the chance to tell us, a “witness” from another world in private, she held true to her solve and mission. That singular scene, had me in tears.

    And what tops it all off is that extremely relatable experience that I’m sure many of us have endured; that being she had to forsake basically her “childhood” to take on a great responsibility and you can just hear it in her voice now that she is finally free to pursue the life she wants.

    “All you care about…is me?” Yes, Furina.

    A beautiful canary in a birdcage finally set free.

  14. Remember Genshin's anime adaptation by UFOTABLE ?? I think it's not impossible that in the future we can get a full anime-style cutscene for a scene like this, imagine the FEEL.
    I'm crying at this, Furina, she finally becomes "human" in the end, she deserves to be happy, and she deserves all the good things in the world, goddamnit.

    Also, I think Celestia's the one who granted her Vision, like Hu Tao, the 2 of them really share that perseverance, also how they tend to act stupid despite being smart. kekw

  19. Genuinely the best patch for Genshin as a whole. Beginning to end the archon quest was a 10/10, the VA in particular was amazing. And the story quest for Furina was my favourite so far. I loved her goofy dramatic self since the first moments, but now she’s probably my favourite character, and certainly one of the most nuanced and tragic. All topped off with this astounding cutscene and beautiful song. I’m glad I started this game years ago if this is a sign of future quality.

    This is of course not to say the previous story and archon quests were bad. Now to listen to this on repeat all day.

  20. Fun fact, that Vision is the first that Neuvillette ever gave to anyone, vision should be given by the celestia. But after Neuvillette got his power back, he's pretty much the hydro element itself, so he can do whatever he wants with anything related to the hydro element

  21. Why does it make me cry!

    When the main mission finished, I was desperate to know if Furina was ok and was angry she didn't get a thank you or anything. Her Archon mission is one of wonderful emotion. love that she gets her vision

  23. I think the best part is what happens after she gets her vision. She immediately tries to get revenge on a Local Legend that annoyed her and gets absolutely decked. Then tries to motivate herself again by practicing in her apartment on how her powers work only to flood the place completely. She then tries to clean up the mess using her summons only for her landlord to give her a notice that she isn't allowed pets in the place. Never change Furina.

  34. To be the one that everyone can rely on, Furina accepts the persona she never thought she will ever be. To face the fate of everyone who believes Focalors, she ought to accept and make a facade of herself. Concealing the desires she wants in exchange of everything everyone needs. Fulfilling her duty as an archon, and lead the nation of Fontaine in the shadows.

    Despite of all the hardships and facades she shows, Furina never once ought to question herself. Never once she never asked "Why me?" of all people.

    And for that, the true intensions and desires she wants to fill out turns into void. She became an empty vessel; a puppet that just keep doing the duty an archon should do.

    Without anyone knowing what she have sacrificed for their smile. What she have done to make everything go according to the desire of the Archon Focalors.

    And then…. the day comes when the CALAMITY can't be helped but to happen. The prophecy everyone feared of. The annihilation of the Fontaine in the map of Teyvat. All the sins her people she takes. She wants to save them but how….? the question suddenly irks her feelings.

    Furina wants to be free from the duty. She wants to fulfill her life, not as a puppet, but a human. A girl who desires to feel the love and joy of life. The bittersweet of every circumstances going ahead.

    That day, Focalors decided to make the trial and accept the responsibility Furina carries. From that day, the Archon of Hydro takes all of the burdens the young girl has, and bear it by ending her life.

    Now, everyone who believes that the Archon who watches over them are gone…. their life continues. Their belief will never fade, or should it be?

    But one thing is for sure… Furina, for the first time, feels the freedom she wanted to have for a long time. Now that she's free, and live together with the others. no one will ever take that away from her.

  45. I JUST FINIS THE ARCHON AND THE LEGENDARY QUEST YESTERDAY BEFORE THE BANNER, i didnt like the furina character, i didnt know what she went throug, i spend 60 wishes, i win the 50/50, im farming to get her to level 90 and build her a nice place in the tea pot.
