Recently, we received a lot of news related to the 4.8 update, so in this video, let’s talk about everything we know so far about 4.8.

First, let’s start with banners.

Officially announced, Emilie will be released in 4.8. She will be an off-field sub-DPS and work well with the burning reaction. She also got buffed recently, but I won’t go into the details about it.

As for rerun characters, recent info from Full Stop Chan suggests that in the first phase, we will get Navia and Nilou banners, and in the second phase, we will get Emilie’s release banner and Yelan rerun.

Three characters have already been speculated to appear in the banners, but Yelan’s rerun was a bit unexpected.

Now to the free rewards in 4.8.

In the new summer event, we will experience a new time-limited map with a new story related to Hexenzirkel. Characters that will be involved are Wanderer, Nilou, Navia, and Kirara. By completing the main event, you will get a free skin for Kirara and Kirara herself. So no worries if you don’t have her. Additionally, the 5-star character who will get a skin will be Nilou, but her skin will have to be bought in the in-game shop. During the whole 4.8 period, there will be a discount, so it’s best to buy it during that time.

And as usual, in addition to the main event, we will get three sub-events in 4.8.

Also, we will get special poses for completing the new season of Imaginarium Theatre and a new running special effect for Diluc, Kirara, Ningguang, Qiqi, and Jean.

By the way, the elements that will be needed in Imaginarium Theatre in 4.8 will be Hydro, Cryo, and Anemo.

Of course, we will get Emilie’s Story Quest since she will have her release banner in 4.8.

Additionally, from recent information, the developers of Genshin Impact plan to remove boss respawn cooldowns in update 4.8.

Currently, in Genshin Impact, after defeating a boss, we must wait for the boss to respawn before farming it again. The boss reappears in the same location only after a set period. However, after the patch release, bosses are expected to respawn immediately when the player returns to the arena.

This addition will greatly improve resource farming efficiency. Some people believe the developers were inspired by Wuthering Waves, where bosses have a very fast respawn rate.

Another reason might be that in 5.0, we might get character level increase to 100, which is why boss cooldowns might get removed.

Lastly, information appeared about how many free primogems players will be able to get in the entire 4.8 update. If you are a complete F2P player, you will be able to get 9,385 primogems or 58 pulls, which sounds ridiculous considering that it’s not a filler update and we will get a new map.

  6. Thanks for the information. I'm really sad, that Wriothesley isn't on the banners. And sorry, why doesn't Sigewinne looks like a real melusine? Yes, she is looking cute, but I really hope for a really good reason, why she looks like that. Won't pull on her. 🙁

  14. It’s a shame that they don’t give extra primo gems in 4.8 😢
    Because I want to pull for a lot of banners in Natlan so that could have helped me 😅

  25. Yup there go my primos nilou or yelan? I need em both I’m thinking yelan but it’s tough when yelan comes after nilou or… I’m getting a job soon and can dump all my primos in there😊
