I would say Genshin is used only really for other Gacha Games that so happen to be open world with a multi-character use feature that is always on the right, health on the bottom middle, Menu Buttons shown on the top right, unreachable notifications on the top left, a random playable child-
Anyways, you did say "When New Gacha to Genshin" it is true that its really just for Gacha Games rather than a general "Open World RPG". Gachas CAN be Open World RPG but I feel it would be the goofiest take to compare a 60$ open world MMO Open World with Devs comparable to the Master Sculptors of the Renaissance.
Ty for being the voice of reason that DOES NOT compare the games in a bad way. All these games are good, and should not be hated on just because they have different mechanics, they're different games after all so of course mechanics should be different. Even if one is better than the other, the other still has unique mechanics.
Genshin is just popular. That's it. Everything in the future will be compared to it. Not just open world gachas. Some of bad apples from this community might try to bash anything that eitehr looks like genshin, or doesn't look like genshin, just like a lot of players compared hsr to genshin and were mad that it isn't genshin. But honestly, I do not really care about it anymore. Everyone can enjoy anything, even smth like Tower of Fantasy.
Also, on that note, I prob missed it, but what was that game with pink haired girl? There have been too many potential releases that I just can't remember.
Everyone wants to be Genshin. They make so many mistakes but every single mistake still nets millions every year. Failing and still earning bank is hard to do๐
It's because it is easily the most famous open world gacha game. And maybe one of the most famous open world games of all time. Other open world gacha games either wouldn't exist or they would be completely different if it weren't for genshin.
Frst again ๐๐
Genshin definitely opened the market Iโll say that

Fortnite is basically an exact genshin copy. I feel like they are profiting too much on stolen content.
genshin is not the most successful gacha game, as of august 2021 DBZ dokkan battle has grossed 3 billion dollars since it's release
Kinda ironic given when Genshin Impact was shown we used to compare it to Zelda Breath of the Wild at the time
