It’s happening again! HoYoverse is delaying the drip marketing, just like they did with Mavuika and Citlali.

  1. What's the point in releasing drip marketing for other characters in the same day they announce Mavuika banner? Doesn't make any sense because it takes away the hype people have for Mavuika. They should release drip marketing after Mavuika banner is out

  2. If i had to guess. Maybe they are delaying to keep hype on the Pyro archon. Let's be real. The real exciting release is the archon. Everyone I know are wishing for her. Even I came back to the game to get her.

  3. The drip marketing is being delayed because internally hoyo is using it as a way to snuff out their leakers. Last time they did this they were able to catch some of the big fish. This has nothing to do with planning or sales and everything to do with setting up a sting for the leakers they have on their own internal teams

  4. i honestly feel like this is gonna be something they will start doing with the most hyped characters. eg, mavuika and citlali were favorited by everyone as soon as the 5.0 teaser came out, so if their drip marketing came out before chasca, everyone would skip chasca and they wouldn't make any money. same thing with iansan and mizuki. everyone is too excited to see them, that if their drip marketing were released before mavuika and citlali, the amount of money they'd get from the 5.3 banners would decrease by a lot. i think they want players to enjoy all the characters they are releasing, whether they are highly anticipated or not.

  5. Doesn't affect me that much at all. After Mavuika and Citlali's banner, the only new character I'm looking forward to would be Skirk. After 5.3, my focus will be on reruns and not on new characters. I mean, I'm honestly convinced that the banners after Mavuika and Citlali (excluding that of Skirk's) will likely be less hype. It will be unlike Fontaine which was still exciting even after Furina's banner because of Arleccino and Clorinde (epically enough, these two will be the rerun banners during Mavuika and Citlali's release).

  6. Personally I couldn't care less about drip marketing for future characters that will take a long time to release. I only care about the ones that will release soon and are upcoming so this news specifically doesn't effect me. However though this still brings curiousity to those who follow future character reveals then all of a sudden the company starts lacking in that department with no communication at all. I can understand that at least.

  7. Is not a big dewl for me…. but is always hard for me my team to be low level right getting stuck on a mission and Quest and all these events happening or a new chapter coming out and I can't join or complete them😅

  8. The company has undergone some internal restructuring in its staff and organization. The team now handling promotion and banner planning is more aggressive than before.

A few months ago, Mihoyo literally asked affiliated content creators (Giul for Italy) to survey their audience about the leaks that preceded Mavuika and Citlali. This indicates that Mihoyo is okay with people following leaks, as those who do are a small minority. The Genshin player base is 95% casual players who don't follow leaks. This allows Mihoyo to reduce the previews to not damage the current banners. Essentially, they don’t want people saving Primogems for future banners, because that means they won’t spend money later.

As I mentioned, the new staff is more aggressive than the previous one

  9. For the own community that worships Mihoyo so much and love them no matter what's the mistake, to be talking bad about their current actions since the beginning of Natlan, and calling it the w()rst region, it meams the company is really falling apart.

  10. You release a poll on people’s feelings about the drip market delay, and your audience almost unanimously says they don’t care. You proceed to release a video on drip marketing delay. What is wrong with you?
