#Dainsleif #Halfdan #Cutscene
This is the first cutscene of the Chasm Archon Quest Requiem Of The Echoing Depths, where Dainsleif had flashes of memory with his friend Halfdan. This cutscene was triggered after an Abyss Lector activated the amplification device which turned on a very bright, blinding light. Halfdan tries to stop it.

One thing I know about the Abyss in this Story Quest is that most of the abyss (Especially the Lectors, Heralds, and maybe abyss) are not citizens of Khaenri`ah since During the "Purification" ritual the Electro Lector is performing he`s the only Abyss Creature that is not affected by it meaning he`s not affected by the curse that turned the citizens of Khaenri`ah into abyss creatures.
This means that they where the original cause on why Celestia wanted to nuked Khaenri`ah in the first place, and the citizens were a massive collateral to save Teyvat form the Abyss.
im not crying you are

MY LAPTOP LAGGING ON THIS SCENE… SO I DON'T SEE THE HILICHURLS SUFFER TTATT
o7 Halfdan
You are a true patriot
Halfdan's sacrifice cut scene got me. 😥
“And this, you black hearted bastard, is for my brother (in arms) Dainseif!”
I know a lot of people won’t get this one. It’s a reference to a line spoken by the Space Wolf Haegr to the Chaos Space Marine Madox, from the 40k novel “Wolf’s Honor,” the third book of the Wolfblade trilogy. The scene is a personal favorite of mine, and this cutscene strongly reminded me of it.
ngl this was the only archon quest that truly made cry. i was so heart broken after finishing it i didnt feel excited abt exploring anymore…
That was sad, when he dies…Really dramatic
This archon quest was absolutely amazing and totally unexpected. I was very eager to do the quest and it didn’t disappoint me a bit. Hoyoverse did a really good job. I am looking forward chapter III, even if it’s gonna take a while
this quest gave me serious Dark Souls vibes. Like, a dilapidated civilization, knights going hollow because of a curse (in this case, inmortality, just like our character on DS), and their resemblance to knights I've seen in the DS series. Someone at hoyo played a lot of DS and wanted to put some of spices of that game's lore into genshin, and I god damn love it.
I might be absolutely dumb but please help:
So the curse is immortality right?
And lifting the curse would mean to make them mortal again right?
So why is everyone complaining then that they are going to die? Like isnt that the goal to begin with? or did I miss something important?
only god knows how much I cried on this quest
RIP halfdan.
Yuri Lowenthal did such a good with putting the emotion into Dainsleif’s voice.
Halfdan is a massive bro
It's one thing for sibling to oppose celestia but there way of doing it makes everyone under them suffer which is not the right choice. The sibling leading the abyss seems to not realize how their determination to help the abyss makes everyone suffer for past deeds they had no control over.
Many manly-tears shed at the glimpse of that bro handshake
Man this main character is pretty useless in story just like his game play. Can't do anything without receiveing other power.Really disappointed on aether .He isn't deserve for main character
Hoyo loves to see us crying aren't they?
It's always the dull blade, goddammit hoyoveerse
Anyone here cuz your potato device can't show this cutscene?… Only me?Okay😢😢
