Cutscene Animation: “Crimson Bouquet” | Genshin Impact #GenshinImpact #GenshinLanternRite

As Yun Jin said, “The Sanctification of Tao Dou” was performed as promised.
But what people are unaware of is that the stage is situated atop the Seven-and-Eight-Gates Array.
“Live in life, and die in death”… All calamities shall draw to a close with the final curtain call.

  1. Gaming's lantern rite was my first one, so naturally I expected this one to focus on Lan Yan.

That was the only expectation that was disappointed. Everything else was pure wonder and delight

  2. So Hu Tao is lying when she said that Tao Dou cleansing ritual doesn't need a sacrifice. Whoever performing this rituals will die, just like her father (the difference is her father didn't perform the rituals well so he left a disaster in Wuwang hill). But Traveler can save Hu Tao from death because Traveler's Fate isn't recorded in Irminsul, hence the Leyline can't take Traveler's soul when he save (replacing) Hu Tao's soul from the border of death.

I like this story so much because I think it's a parallel of Capitano's paradox. Mavuika is ready to sacrifice her life by merging her soul with Lord of the Night to replace the Leyline in Natlan, but Capitano replace her. And Capitano didn't die even after the merger because of the immortality curse, creating a paradox.

But this also makes me wonder, does Tao Dou have anything to do with Ronova? Because Tao Dao is associated with death much like Ronova. Does the sudden aggressiveness of Tao Dao is caused by Ronova's anger after she got tricked by Capitano? 😂

  3. Love that the video is in Chinese this time. Because Liyue is based off of China (and it’s the dub I’m watching this event in). This Lantern Rite is without a doubt by absolute favorite of them all. I have no idea how Hoyo is going to top this next year.

  4. This event looks like the Story Quest Act Two for Hu Tao, and this event almost made me cry when Hu Tao decided to sacrifice herself by absorbing the fetor of Liyue citizens…. 😢😢
This is the best scene among the Lantern Rite Event, cheerful but also comes with tears…

  5. The poem scene is basically hu tao’s constellation. She reads her c1-c5, while Zhongli reads her c6. Interestingly her c6 activates her talent that brings her back if she falls down.

Technically, zhongli reminds her to come back from death. It is so poetic

  6. I hope Baizhu takes the spotlight in next year's Lantern Rite! Hu Tao's wish through her fortune coin to Changsheng makes me want a lore reveal of Changsheng's past. Assuming Changsheng was the Herblord, it would be cool to see Fujin and Lingyuan.

  7. 2:49 In fact, this sentence is believed to be a paraphrase of the final words of China's War of Resistance hero Guo Rugui:
"My eight thousand soldiers have almost all perished, yet the enemy's offensive remains relentless, and the future is uncertain. If the position holds, I shall return to report to you. If it falls, I shall die on the battlefield, my body left to the wilderness. When the war is won, and you, as a famous anti-Japanese general, sail past the Wusong estuary, if the waves rise like mountains, know that it is me coming to see you."

Guo Rugui’s spirit of defending his nation resonates with Hu Tao’s sacrifice to protect the people of Liyue.

  8. Best Lantern Rite at the worse time possible, it was amazing and included many characters this time even outside of Liyue for the first time (from multiple Nations at once I mean), a new emotional story for Hu Tao AND some characters seem to be aware of the traveler's recent deeds in Natlan which is perfect to be mentioned by non-Natlan characters.

And yet….. No EN VA for most of the characters, my experience in that regard was horrible and I hated it.

  9. So how is this plot translated into English? I am using Chinese dubbing and want to see the English version, but why is it also in Chinese here? Sometimes Chinese is very concise while English is much more verbose, which is interesting.
