Citlali – Did She Save Or Abandon Cryo? | Genshin Impact

Citlali is the first Cryo character to come out in over a year and the first 5* Cryo support to come out in almost three. Today we’ll be discussing her kit and figuring out if she saved or abandoned the Cryo element.

  1. I've been waiting for Shenhe for so long, stars burnt out and new civilizations rose.
Ever since the first Wrio banner she's been haunting my dreams. No new mechanic is going to stop me now. Shenhe is coming home

  2. i just want HSR and ZZZ-like supports. like we still dont have a support that can share their own stats like hsr supports other than sucrose. wheres our "buffs crit damage based x characters crit damage" and supports that play around more technical parts of the game (like how candace deals damage when switching between characters) they have SO many options but its now just "x character scales off y stat, the buffs arent dependant on y stat but they provide more defensive utility with y stat" holy yap

  3. What baffles me is that they made her scale off EM, considering freeze doesn't use EM at all, the power of melt depends on the EM of the triggering unit… which, given she shreds pyro not cryo, should ideally never be her. The stat is completely dead on her.

  4. I've been saving for Shenhe since Chronicled wish got announced. A friend of mine who is terrible at saving Got Mavuika at 70 pity and then a double Citlali in the next 10 pull….
He was not guaranteed, as he had also gotten Chasca. I swear he never loses his 50/50s.

So I did like 40 pulls trying to at least get one copy of Diona willing to risk a random 5 star. I got one kachina, random 4 star weapons, and on the very last pull i was willing to do got Diona at 49 pity. REALLY gonna save for Shenhe now! 87 pulls and a little over two weeks of grinding to go.

    Wish me luck!
May Shenhe wanters be Shenhe havers.

  5. As someone who hates the freeze reaction I love Citlali she's everything I wanted from a cryo unit, instead of just freeze she helps pyro and hydro out more and her shield is pretty good from what I've been playing. Wriothesley melt has never felt so nice.

  6. i think that shes gonna be the only cryo safe from the cryo jail, mainly because shes pretty and has very unique mechanics when it comes to cryo,…and also shes popular 🙂

id still recommend pulling for her tho, not taking any chances.

  7. Cryo really got cucked when it was the only element out of phec elements to not react with dendro
On top of that, cryo has some of the weakest reactions in the game with superconduct and freeze being practically useless in this day and age
Citlali being a melt driver was a much needed addition as melt is its only useable reaction now

I genuinely think unless they bite the bullet and retroactively add a cryo dendro reaction, cryo is never going to recover

  8. So I had pulled Mavuika, fully leveled, weapon all that good stuff…I recently pulled Citlali cause I lost to her weapon and this girl has my Mavuika burst doing about 400k more than when I had her before….im still playing around with her teams but so far I’m actually living for her

  9. Absolutely agree, I got many Pyro characters except Mavuika (will pull on her rerun while her weapon is waiting for her return, got them both weapons along with Citlali's) and Arle who will be useful with Citlali and also can't risk letting her go because she may end up in Cryo Jail too along with Wrio and Charlotte.

  10. Citlali as a unit exists for one reason. . . . .to buff Mavuika even more 😂😂😂
Citlali as a character i like but as a unit i'd only get her to have a Layla replacement if even that cuz Layla is more than good enough as a cryo shielder when i need a shield and ZhongDong is busy in another team.

  11. Honestly, I feel like the reason why they released Citlali as she is, is that so that they can release a Pyro version of her that Buffs Cryo and Electro or an Electro version that buff Dendro lol she i just the first of her archetype.

  12. I'm glad I watched this cause I already pulled Mavuika and her weapon and I was debating whether to go back to saving or try to be greedy and get Citali too, guess I will, I've got enough content I haven't done to try at least and I've missed so much of the Natlan banners that I probably need at least one Natlan support if I want my shiny new archon to be able to do things

  13. Ahem… um… I actually told myself that I will get her cause knowing cryo, it will take Citlali at least 200 years to be on a banner again.

Little did I know that what I got was a freaking gem. I didn't even know she did so much stuff.

And yes, as if Neuvellette and Arleccino needed a buffer. But here we are.

Kinda annoyed cause she doesn't buff cryo, but she is still a veeeery strong character.
Also annoyed that she literally pushed my Layla off her comfy chair next to Neuvellette, but at least now I have two very good shielders.

  14. It’s not necessarily bad that they’re “re-inventing” their elemental reactions, but the even sadder truth is that they don’t and won’t revisit anything that can’t roll in as much money as a new character.
    Standard powercreep confirms that much
