  1. As a Chinese who reads Chinese and who searched the news, I can guarrantee you that your English source of information is complete bullshit.
The only article that Xinhua agency published regarding effemination situation in China during the past 6 months is about that there should be more male teachers in School which might help young kids to grow up with more masculine models.

Your source might have been based on one of the report on WSJ which talks about the said report in Xinhua agency and the new regulations of providing game access only to menors during weekends at the same time, which confuses people who don't understand what has been goning on in China in the past 6-9 months.

And btw, WSJ is full of shit. They probabaly intentionally talked about those two seperate things at the same time, just to incite readers' interest.

  2. LoL if you look at the face of Diluc (just his face; cover this body), he actually looks like a woman.
Xingqiu looks like a girl. Those shorts are so short. And what’s up with his hair?
Venti – well, i thought he was a she when I first encountered him/her.

  3. Idk man but in my perspective I think china is doing a right thing about limiting time children should play, because I've seen
worse, though many children are not above 12+ yet they indulge in 12+ games which is not good, of course that depends on the control parents keep their children in, but instead of parents the government is making a move, I say life is more important than making money, money isn't going to buy you good future or second Life🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. I dont think Mihoyo is in trouble, they are already very careful with those things. They know their government can make it very hard for them so they dont get greedy and overextend. They change anything that might get them into trouble before release. I mean look how all female characters are wearing granny pants as underwear. They even censored climbing…

  5. How unfortunate, as much as I like beefy guys and would like to see more muscular characters in Genshin, feminine guys in games, in general, are kinda rare already, banning the few ones we have would be so sad 🙁

  6. As much as I would like a muscular model added to Genshin removing the "feminine" looking characters is just to much. Idk what with China but I really hope Mihoyo move's their headquarters far far away from there 😕

  7. What about masculine female characters?
I personally live gacha systems, gambling for cgaracters to be more precise, I do no want that banned. I can control myself, so my enjoyment comes from messing with RNG to work in my favor which gives me a sense od acomplishment. On the plus side, it's a gambling where I do not spend money (not Genshin XD I am almost at 100 euros spent on BP and Blessing) .
But I can see the problem, and it is hard to keep your wallet under control :/

  8. I know whatever policy CCP made is definitely evil and futile in the eyes of the west.
But the ban is primarily targeting the feminine pop idols, which has grown into a huge industry, because lots of young girls(usually under 18) love to see their men wearing feminine make-ups dancing around or showing up in some movies. So the capital speeds up producing theses female men to fill the whole market.

As I watched videos on Bilibili (Chinese YT) about this policy, virtually all feedback posts were supportive about the ban and they say things like "finally, been waiting for this for years". (well, the brainwashed people would say they are all robots, or the ones who don't agree will be silenced, but I'm commenting here for the not so brainwashed)

I also supports this ban as well, first I definitely don't want my kid to play 20 hours video games per week. Whether 3-hour rule is the best is debatable, personally 10 hour seems to be my level of tolerance. Second, I have been waiting for the feminine boy idol ban for years, it is disgusting to see these people on media all the time. They got tens of millions dollars for any extremely low-quality TV series or movie, and the real talented and well-trained actors getting very little. They transformed the industry in the worst way possible.

Yes Chinese government usually made policies that hurt its own big cooperate companies and I see that as a good thing, it means the government is not controlled by the big money, and I hope this situation can last as long as possible.

  9. i feel nothing will change and mihoyo will continue to ignore them. if china does go after them tho i feel mihoyo gets what they deserve. mihoyo going after bilibili and the leakers charging them with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of fines for leaking a walking animation or skill animation. really mihoyo! your quite lame for that. made millions of dollars but its still not enough. Btw this isnt a hate post, just sharing an opinion.
