Edit: Don't agree with pairing Lyney with Ganyu. Lyney is much more fast paced, a lot more dynamic and has multiple damage sources. Ganyu doesn't. Ganyu's issue in my opinion is just that she doesn't deal enough damage to compensate for her boring playstyle, yk like Nuevillette. As for mobile point, fair, but… I'm pretty sure you're not going to do a lot on mobile when you're busy. The biggest thing you can do is craft 3 condensed resins and claim your dailies.
Radien I agree on. Pulled her on rerun because everyone was playing national and I couldn’t. She’s just not fun to play or strong enough (C0R1) compared to my other choices. Ganyu on the other hand had it hard from the start. Gameplay is a big challenge but melt can be extremely rewarding. Have her C6R1 but she keeps on stealing Tighnari’s bow. Haven‘t used here since some Abyss Cycles because there is just easier options that outshine her in DPS nowadays even tho mine is top 1% on akasha.
I sort of regret Ayaka. She carried me during the early game but she really fell of in both damage and likability for me. I never pulled another electro 5-star because Keqing supremacy but I don't regret even Chiori or Kokomi or Nilou who I rarely play nowadays due to me screwing up Baizhu's artifacts and not being bothered to level up another instructor set. I just skipped the ones I don't care about, like Raiden Crybaby and Yae and Yoimiya and all that. Neither do I really have a regretted 5-star character in Star Rail, only not being able to E6 Qingque on my main account.
The character I thought would be my first regret pull was Kinich. I only really wanted Chevreuse for my Arlecchino team.
I ended up with her C2 at now, but my Kinich at C2 and R1 (the R1 is a subtle hint that I ended up really liking him). He's not fully built yet, but man is he fun. I'm sure he will be lots more fun and powerful when I acquire him a Mavuika. I wanted her anyways, since I refuse to use Xinagling or Bennet, so it's a win in my books

Even with C6 and paired with Furina, Raiden, and Mika, I still beat spiral Abyss by the skin of my teeth. Point is, I kinda take solace in that you probably don't hate Eula as much as everyone else and if, heaven forbid, she gets some kind of boost during the ice region, maybe you might be part of the spike in Eula players. Or Mihoyo does Mihoyo things and just leave old characters to die in the gutter cause they don't believe in balance patches, cause they really don't care about battle content, lmao!

Because I hate having the same sh1t every day, I don't have regrets. I dust out my Eula, Raiden and Albedo from time to time. With that being said, there are characters I will NEVER pull on my second account: the mentioned three of Eula, Raiden and Albedo, Yae Midko, Ganyu, Childe, Yoimiya (even though I do not regret her, I like her very much, but my god they did ma girl dirty), BAIZHU, I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY HE IS DOGSH1T AND HIS UTILITY SUCKS AND I GAVE HIM A SHOT AFTER A SHOT JUST BECAUSE I GOT HIM ON LIKE 177TH OR SO PULL AND TRIED TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT IT, F@CK HIM.
i love raiden but i heavily agree with you on her character writing and design. grief is one of the worst things a person goes through, and they handled the execution like…that??? 😭 it’s such a shame because she could’ve been the first antagonistic character with a redemption arc. but, nope. we got a quest for the loser “waifu” collectors who probably haven’t seen a woman other than their mom in years and a mediocre quest for people who actually want to see more of raiden.
i’m of the belief that revealing clothing isn’t inherently sexual but raiden is really pushing it. she’s a literal dictator and warrior and they made her chest, arguably the most vulnerable part of the body, insanely uncovered and unprotected 😭 it doesn’t even make sense when you take into account that she’s the leader of her nation bc they made her kimono WAYYY to short. tldr; i hate hoyoverse’s gooner developers, and i’m glad they’re slowly getting better designing characters (especially the women) i’m glad they got better with the writing as seen in fontaine and sumeru. i’m excited to see what they do with mavuika

To Yae Kasumi being a test tube experiment result of a mad Kallen variant then after her death, Kasumi almost loosing her will to live and guided by Ferryman into multiple universes and observing every single characters to develope her absurdly powerful abilities, only for Ferryman's final moments has her being scapegoated into poisoning to force Captain into difficult decisions (though I can understand on why people having difficulties at following Captain events, as his lore is genuinely the most obscure thing in any Mihoyo game that comparable to Flyme2themoon and Mihoyo's early games, his presence literally makes every Valkyries that are considered """lesbian""" into at most being bi instead) , Yae Sakura has a lot of traits of what you consider to be "bad" by your standards lol
Though Captain lore is so bonkers, that not even those lore videos on youtube and reddit about him doesn't even got the whole informations and events surrounding him and his Valkyries (both main stories and events he experienced) to fully grasp of how much the character used to be utilised and even acts as Observer in Mihoyo games like he's Aeon Aha + Terminus or something (since he broke 4th wall in the most peculiar ways for the context of HI3 lore, though the Visual Novel presentations makes it understandably really boring, considering that despite he has shown parts of his human body but never his face (also the memes of modern HI3 players can't read nor even understand contexts of their own games, storys and characters lol), that guy suffered in various events that's on the level of GGZ endgame's Kiana, if not worse if we're speaking metaphysically wise because newer Honkai Impact fans either HATES his existence to wanting separate him from main story, (despite his earlier events and origin story were developing directly alongside main story downright to Summer Events).

Sorry for Tl;dr, this is what happened when you're a fan of Mihoyo games for several years before Genshin even released during the escalation of Pandemic 4 years ago lol, "Raiden Mei" & "Bronyaface" Archetypes are not foreign to me both in lore-perspectives, developers-bias perspectives and realtime marketing perspectives (especially APHO Bronya, that one even surpasses Mihoyo games' reaches by this point), but it's terminus Finality degrees of depth by that even abyss had way surpassed, pretty much reinforcing my insanity, unless something happened at video game industry that are so massive that it even affects Mihoyo, FGO, Kurogames, Nintendo, etc. (though I wouldn't count on that, not to mention Mihoyo is a limited company that's recently got full support by CCP so you don't see foreign investors from Western companies imposing into their developer designs, with certain "rules and checklists", like how Ubisoft being the literal cradle of SBI, just look at Ubisoft today)
I was a Yae Miko hater first time she comes out, and then Raiden act 2 come I was neutral on her (she finally got some depth of being tsundere), and then Yae Miko act 1 come out right after and I despise her antics. till this day I never wanna pull despite golden troupe allure.
6:15 I played Honkai Impact first before Genshin and liked previous era SAKURA for being a nice older sister who cares about RIN and also Seele, I didn't exactly like Yae Miko for some reason.Idk maybe I just like nice characters who care about their family more
I can understand hating/not liking characters but at least do it for reason that makes sense. You don't have to play charge shot Ganyu, play her quick swap in Morgana. As for Yae, S-S-S-B-S-S-S is combo you should never use. I'm not saying "you already playing it wrong", but intentionally using wrong combo and then claiming she takes too much field time seems dishonest to me. That is like players staying 30s on field with Childe and then complaining about his "long cooldown".
gameplay wise, I think I regret Ayaka the most cause missing her burst hurts more than appendicitis. She's a good character though Besides that, I don't think I have a regret

in my opinion, i feel like lyney is better than ganyu because you dont sit there charged attacking for very long, yes it is his biggest source of dmg but your probably gonna do ur rotation then come in with ur burst (or end with it) charged attk twice or 3 times, skill, swap and do it again, i see him similar to tighnari being a very quick swappy character. thats how he does the best for me but i may be playing wrong i suppose if thats not the case

The two characters I regret pulling for are Childe and Nilou. Funny think is Childe is my first limited 5 star character. I just knew he was meta at the time back in 2.2, I knew nothing about his skill cooldown. As for Nilou, I already had Nahida, so I got her on her 1st rerun, and she was a dps downgrade. I should have took Nilou's story quest as a reason to stay away.

He's confirming himself to witness Himeko sacrifices for him and the girls in events featuring multiple Himeko iterations in SoQ & IT since like June 2019 (around 2-3 months after Final Lesson CG released to dumbstruck with Herrscher of Sentience blatantly referenced by him to "should only in the main story", though knowing how Herrscher of Sentience can jump or lost into different dimensions especially in Part 1.5 Snow Salt Lake City bubble unvierse's afterlife queue, I'm not surprised), it's just that Mihoyo had indecisive periods regarding whether they think that his face should be shown or not (something which pervades to at least 2 references of him and his pals in HSR Silverwolf & Robin trailers (that being Bronie & Miss Administrator/Lambda Hyperion), hence in Part 2 main story being why you saw male Dreamseeker being deleted then Entropy turned into her own character), though it doesn't really matter since most of the HI3 fans care way more of the trio, APHO1 & 2 are KINO tho, it has all the Persona vibes + even a little bit of super sentai references which is crazy especially for us Asian players childhood, also I know what can of "paycheck" Adam would get if Mei's ran out of funds tbh.
Sorry for Tl;dr, this is what happened when you're a fan of Mihoyo games for several years before Genshin even released during the escalation of Pandemic 4 years ago lol, "Raiden Mei" & "Bronyaface" Archetypes are not foreign to me both in lore-perspectives, developers-bias perspectives and realtime marketing perspectives (especially APHO Bronya, that one even surpasses Mihoyo games' reaches by this point), but it's terminus Finality degrees of depth by that even abyss had way surpassed, pretty much reinforcing my insanity, unless something happened at video game industry that are so massive that it even affects Mihoyo, FGO, Kurogames, Nintendo, etc. (though I wouldn't count on that, not to mention Mihoyo is a limited company that's recently got full support by CCP so you don't see foreign investors from Western companies imposing into their developer designs, with certain "rules and checklists", like how Ubisoft being the literal cradle of SBI, just look at Ubisoft today)
I was a Yae Miko hater first time she comes out, and then Raiden act 2 come I was neutral on her (she finally got some depth of being tsundere), and then Yae Miko act 1 come out right after and I despise her antics. till this day I never wanna pull despite golden troupe allure.
Im glad i didnt pull Cyno, his playstyle is trash for me, His burst really REALLY is long.

6:15 I played Honkai Impact first before Genshin and liked previous era SAKURA for being a nice older sister who cares about RIN and also Seele, I didn't exactly like Yae Miko for some reason.Idk maybe I just like nice characters who care about their family more

You don't have to play charge shot Ganyu, play her quick swap in Morgana.
As for Yae, S-S-S-B-S-S-S is combo you should never use.
I'm not saying "you already playing it wrong", but intentionally using wrong combo and then claiming she takes too much field time seems dishonest to me. That is like players staying 30s on field with Childe and then complaining about his "long cooldown".
gameplay wise, I think I regret Ayaka the most cause missing her burst hurts more than appendicitis. She's a good character though

The only character I regret pulling is Klee because i didn't know anything about the game at that point and was just pulling without knowing what i was doing. I missed out on yoimiya because of that
My Tighnari and Nahida validate my Yae’s existence I am okay with that.
Every so often there’s a situation where Raiden is exactly the character I need to balance the team so I can’t really regret her. Eula though…
in my opinion, i feel like lyney is better than ganyu because you dont sit there charged attacking for very long, yes it is his biggest source of dmg but your probably gonna do ur rotation then come in with ur burst (or end with it) charged attk twice or 3 times, skill, swap and do it again, i see him similar to tighnari being a very quick swappy character. thats how he does the best for me but i may be playing wrong i suppose if thats not the case

Nah bro Raiden is Peak. Also funny I love ganyu gameplay and can’t stand kinich combat. I just got him to be my Spider-Man taxi which is way too much fun.
The two characters I regret pulling for are Childe and Nilou. Funny think is Childe is my first limited 5 star character. I just knew he was meta at the time back in 2.2, I knew nothing about his skill cooldown. As for Nilou, I already had Nahida, so I got her on her 1st rerun, and she was a dps downgrade. I should have took Nilou's story quest as a reason to stay away.
