I can't agree more with Xiao, he's so much fun to play.
i accidentally pulled ayato and his signature weapon when he released (i was trying to get sucrose constellations and widsith refinements). i was initially very disappointed and regretted him but it didn’t take long for me to realize that i actually really enjoyed his playstyle! i’ve used him regularly ever since.
For me Tartaglia will always be my goat. The enjoyment of grouping enemies and then watching them all die from riptide is still the most satisfying feeling. Been a childe main since 1.1 and never once regretted my decision
These are my top 5 characters i don't regret to pulling
1.Raiden i really love the fast rolltation she gave you,it great for quick swap teams,because she offer energy regenerate,most of her teammates are 4 star is mean f2p friendly,only down side is she not easy to build you needs atk er crit rate and crit dmg(nowadays you can build EM but just not a fan),i know some people saying c0 aren't good for damage but for me is not the case,i really like her lore,the best part is her ult is god damn booba sword
2.Yalen great hydro off field support for a lot of teams,i know she basically are better Xingqiu but why not use both,she great for Raiden team or other teams,she also fast as fuck especially running in open world
3.Alhaitham amazing dendro dps especially hyperbloom team,his playstyle really fun,his character personality kinda confusing maybe i should finish his story quest
4.Kazuha back in the day people said is better Sucrose,i thought he not that good,after i learned Kazuha is really op was too late i really skipped him,he not just fun for exploring he also helping you suckling enmities and chests loots,he can buffing you elemental damage,he has big AOE on his uit,so he really good for abyss especially group up some annoying enmities,i very regret not get him at first place(also saving for Raiden that time),he the best anemo user in game(Venti you not an archon anymore),the best part is he easy to build all you needs EM with some ER substats you good to go,he also has one of best character story in game
5.Neuvillette(aka hydro dragon) the first hydro dps break the rules because hydro always a support element,most of hydro dps suffer raw damage,he doesn't has this issue he can do big damage by his own that's made him super op,when him first released some people complaining power creep so the old characters became worthless,i want to ask them you want to see new character be shit or what? especially is a 5 five star character you should be happy they made a 5 star character not being shit,i love his character development but unfortunately i still not complete the Fontaine archon quest part 3 and 4 is mean his quest still not yet unlock
Honorable mentions are Eula(carry me the most) Xiao(he has one of best character story too) and Nahida(has one of best archon back story,only archon help the mc)

After a long time I think the only character I regret pulling is Kazuha. I hate everything about this cowardly bitch that it pisses me off that he's so good.
Every character I own I have no regrets pulling, except for him.
I justified pulling for him as he is BiS for my mono-pyro Klee team, but now I feel like I would have been happier without him. I had Sucrose and when I pulled for him I got Jean on his banner too so there really wasn't much of a point going for someone I hated so much since I could already 36 star clear Abyss anyway.
Lol i hate charge attack based characters. I love Nuev 😂. Everyone has their exceptions 😊. That said im the opposite. I find my self playing Lyney more than Nuev. Always prefered Ganyu over Ayaka (for different reasons). I really dislike on field characters that are soley burst relient.
For me its Alhaitham and Neuvillette. Ik not many people will agree w me but i loved alhaithams character a lot. It was fun to see a character not sucking the travelers dick for the first time.
As a Xiao enjoyer I can agree that he really can lacerate their organelle system

I had the same situation with Neuvillette. I pulled Tao then tried for her C1, got Qiqi and decided to save for Furina instead. Then I saw leaks for her kit, realized "okay, this isn't gonna work with my best teams all that well" so I pulled for Neuvillette and I don't regret anything. His team helped me to finally 33* the abyss (granted, Furina's kit was changed and buffed ever since I made the decision, but I still regret nothing).

Once i pulled Wanderer open world changed for me forever. I liked playing Wanderer so much that i wanted him to be viable in the abyss, so on his rerun i went for c6 faruzan, and I actaully got it and a c2 wanderer.
So i just be using wanderer for most things( and Neuvillette now)
Characters I don’t regret pulling:
(1): Albedo. (My number one favorite character in the game. No regrets on C6ing him.)
(2): Scaramouche (renamed as Belial on my account. I’m sure you know what his investment is.)
(3): Al Haitham. (He was so fun, I agree his playstyle is great. And the “See ya” meme is too good.”
(4): Xiao. (C6 on mobile tho is hard to play. XD)
(5): Venti. (Made him a physical dps main and it’s been so much fun).
i don't really regret any characters except yae and c2 kazuha, i especially love playing wriothesley and I'm really glad i went against my initial decision to save for furina! wrio and neuvillette are so fun to play and i hope the fontaine lineup continues to be this great
Yoimiya as well as scaramouche are the biggest IDGAF what the community thinks of them pulls ever! Yoimiya is just so much fun to play with and scaramouche is just too useful to have around. And I only pull for off field characters that'll help them both. (Furina will be my next Target)

I don't regret getting Al Haitham or Neuvillette. Love both of them and playing them. Al Haitham specifically I liked when first seeing him and was happy when I could get him. I will now save for Xiao because I want my yaksha to finally come home.
kokomis hydro application is goated hutao CA is so strong, yelan needs no explanation kuki is weirdly really fun, yae and yao yao are oddly fun too. I need alhaitham and yoimiya on my account fr tho
I detest Xiao despite getting him on his original banner. Jade Spear was my first 5* wep and his banner was next so i figured why not?
I got him, got him a nice 2pc 2pc of glad/VV and played him for 10mins and was so bored just jumping up and down lol. It did not matter how much dmg he did.
After maining Childe since 1.1 i went right back to my boy lol. I also learned i prefer quick swaps as opposed to hypercarries

Since I started the beginning of this year my first character was hu tao, however the character I regret the least by far is yelan because she just started carrying my ass in everything when I got her weapon

I never regret pulling any 5 stars, they are all worth it for me even the off banners.
But I must admit 5 star DPS can get old real quick. I remember my first 5 star dps is Diluc, then come Ayaka, then Eula, then Itto, then Ayato, then Xiao, then Tighnari, then Cyno, then Wanderer, then Alhaitham, then Neuvilette. And after getting Wriothesley, I am now playing him more than Neuvilette even though I just got Neuvilette 3 weeks ago 😅😅😅
Characters i dont regret pulling are venti, xiao, ayato, tartaglia, raiden and yae miko. With venti i was just lucky with my pulls at the begining of the game and got him at the last few days of the banner. He made mi overworld team so fun, and i personally enjoy using the sacrificial bow on him for an extra skill use. Xiao is just so cool as a character and i like he is so nice at heart. His skill is super fun to use too. For ayato i only rolled for him because i liked the character and i ended with a character with a nice hidro aplication ultimate and a strong skill. With tartaglia he is just fun to play switching often so he doesnt get a high cooldown. With raiden shes just a great support with her skill adding so much damage to other charaters, i dont like her burst so much but how i like her skill makes for it. And for yae miko i just use her a lot for electro aplication. I dont think her skill is bad or slow, it just feels right to me and stays on for enough time to deal a lot of damage with other characters.
My 2 most used chars are Yae and Yelan. Yae has always been my favorite char since her design is amazing and I love her gameplay. I used her a lot pre-dendro but post dendro Yae aggravate (Yae, Nahida, Kirara, Fischl/Sucrose) has been my most used team both in abyss and open world. Imo it's super fun to play and very strong so I never get bored of it.
Yelan is probably my overall most used character bcus of her fluidity, ability to basically work anywhere and her damage. Unless i'm playing hyperbloom I almost always use yelan over xingqiu bcus i've always valued her mobility and damage more than his utility. My yelan is kinda ass bcus emblem domain never gave me good pieces and I'm stuck w the recurve bow, but even with my pretty mid stats she never disappoints and is def one of the most valuable chars on my account. Yae is my overall favorite character but Yelan is probably overall my most valuable character.

For me the biggest dont regret pull is definitely Ayaka.
I know quite a lot of people think her character is bland, but IDGAF i like her. Both of her outfits look really cool and nothing makes me as bricked as stacking every buff imaginable and letting loose the most absurd burst imaginable.
Unfortunately i kind of lost my main account that had my C3 Ayaka and friends so im having to build my side accounts from the ground up.
Alhaitham literally carries my account, he's probably my favorite DPS. And as for support, so far it's Baizhu. I haven't built Kokomi yet despite pulling for her recently, but i would prefer using both her and Baizhu over Zhongli bc they can enable elemental reactions while supporting the team and most of my teams need elemental reactions in order to work.
