For a long time, the worst element in Genshin Impact has been widely agreed to be Geo, and it makes sense. It has the 2nd least amount of elemental reactions in the game, only ahead of Anemo, but Swirl has always been a lot more versatile and purely better than both Shatter and Crystallize. It also didn’t have that many characters for a while, as before Navia released in 4.3, there were only 7 geo characters in total, and while there were some very good ones, a few of them had/have been outperformed by other characters. Geo got a big shot in the arm in 4.3 when Navia released, being one of the hardest-hitting characters to date. Since her release there have been 3 other Geo characters. Geo has definitely had a bit of a comeback as an element, but it still has overall been a mixed bag of an element for a long time. This makes me wonder: How well could Geo do entirely on its own? Well, let’s find out by playing Genshin Impact using only Geo characters.
Rules:
I can only use Geo characters in battle.
Any puzzles that require another element can be completed with another character.
No healing items in battle.
No co-op.
I can only use a trial character if they are Geo.

  1. There are plenty of comments about JavaTheCup's Geo Only series, and in my opinion, who cares if someone else does a Geo Only video? It's a relatively basic idea. He does it in a series format, and I do it in a single video, and there's probably examples of people doing Geo Only challenges long before Java started his series. I also didn't even know about Java's series when I had the idea to do this challenge, and this is an idea I've had since mid 2023, before Java started his Geo only series.
