I HAVE A PROBLEM, IM A GENSHIN PLAYER. AND THAT TITLE IS NOT TAKEN VERY LIGHTLY BY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET. WE OFTEN GET COMMENTS SAYING: GENSHIN PLAYERS ARE CRINGE. GENSHIN PLAYERS NEVER SHOWER. GENSHIN PLAYERS DONT GO OUTSIDE. AND WHILE I CANT CONFIRM OR DENY THESE ALLEGATIONS ABOUT THE GENSHIN IMPACT COMMUNITY. I WANTED TO FIND OUT IF ANY OF THESE STEROTYPES WERE TRUE. SO WHEN MIHOYO ANNOUNCED AN OFFLINE GENSHIN POP-UP EVENT IN NEW YORK CITY FEATURING THEIR NEWEST COLLABORATION WITH XBOX. I DECIDED TO ATTEND SO THAT I CHALLENGE MYSELF TO SEE IF I CAN SOCIALIZE WITH LIKE MINDED GENSHIN IMPACT PLAYERS OF THE CULTURED VARIETY. BUT THERE’S JUST ONE PROBLEM, I HAVE ZERO SOCIAL SKILLS IN THE REAL WORLD.

Unfortunately most of the fandom online is cringe and full of some questionable adults. Thankfully, everyone I've met who has played genshin is
1. My dad and his friends (who got me into it when I was 11)
2. Girls my age who are really good friends either me atp. Including my current gf! 😀
The people who come up with the excuse that the game is bad because the community is bad are only really saying that because, obviously, predators are bad, but they haven't been fortunate enough to try the game or meet/watch the more sane people in the community. (eg. Minslief, Jonathan, BranOnline, and Doro)
