  1. Just to be clear, the game is still amazing and inspires to make new content but talking about this topic hopefully brings awareness to miHoYo about some of the things players and content creators have been feeling about the game.

  2. I'm going to sound like IGN…I think Inazuma has too much water.
I understand, it has multiple islands stranded on the sea. But having to teleport or take the boat is becoming frustrating.

In Mondstadt, I could just keep running around freely. Grass and flowers everywhere.
In Liyue, there were mountains to climb, but still a vast area at ground level. I loved gliding from high places.
    Inazuma…just doesn't feel the same.
It's pretty, of course. And yet I find the place annoying.

Back in Liyue, out of stress one night, I just decided to take a stroll. I could walk all the way from the north to the south, appreciating the scenery. In Inazuma, you can't, because there's WATER everywhere. So you just teleport all the time. Ugh.

  3. probably it is not to be enjoyed as competitive game or to enjoyed in speed run pace how about that?

for some player genshin is perfect game where you can just hang out with people in the middle of gosh darn pandemic & just do whatever. Resin gone? fishing, you overfish teyvat? how about stocking those materials to make food? oh you already master all recipe? why dont't stock up so no need for healer? All your map 100% on the day of release? well I am surprised none of you have house chores bcs jeez who's sat hours to gobble a whole area to 100% in a day. I swear this like gamers complain animal crossing is boring because they speed run that shit when it supposed to be a slow paced game… In game resource wise, resin is there so people have limit on consuming media, especially if the target audience including minor, all gacha games have this limit bar on how long you can play without forgetting your damn life, gacha game is about resourcing carefully, because for unlimited resource you need to PAY

also burn out is normal while you guys act like it is a sin against humanity, Arknights so far the most generous gacha for me but I feel tired for a while, without gambling addiction arknights is just strategy game for me & I can pick it anytime I want, no obligation, even as content creator (artist) it is my right to not putting out more if i don't feel like it

take a break & find other joy, it is your own responsibilities to manage your time, entertainment n life as whole, blaming something that just happen not suiting your life pace is dumb.

  4. I also had a burnout from genshin, i used to play every single day without fail since day 1. But then one day i played another game and got invested on that game, i left genshin for 2 weeks. When i got back to genshin, it feels fresh again, im starting to enjoy genshin again.

We do need to take a break from time to time

  5. I know that the rewards aren't astronomical yet rioters be targeting voice actors who got nothing to do with anything about the development, personally attacking people related to miHoYo, or anything stupid that can result to hurting someone is just all child-like tantrum who can't separate their emotions from the argument.

Criticisms are great, they help build towards greatness, but once mixed with negative emotions, toxicity will eat it up.

  6. I respect this channel admin keeping his video clear away from current drama which full of negativity. Scroll through comment section, yep everyone are talking bout the burnout on genshin instead of bitching on the amount of rewards. Unlike a certain channel name with Mtasxxx or akrxx etc make 2 or 3 videos bltch about anniversary rewards to attract viewers spreading toxicity flaming hatred across community to garner views to earn profit from it. Props to GachaGamer speak what players truly felt.

  7. As a Honkai player, yes. I can't manage all contents in honkai that too many of them XD. and the rewards is so many and lots of currency in the game you can exchange that keep you to play. well, in genshin.. comissions and resin.

  8. Ngl i was burnt out for months so I just stopped then picked it back up again in like April this year and I've been playing it non stop ever since. If I get burnt out again I'll just take a couple months off again so more content is there for me to do at my own pace

  10. My only issue is that it's just not rewarding. The whole game itself is a nice experience at the start when you got a whole world to explore, chests to find, the starting rewards are nice even but as you clear the game and the amount of content starts throwing walls at you is when you start getting tired.

Genshin is a mobile game that tries to be a console/PC game while still having mobile style rewards. When you clear a 20min (or more sometimes) puzzle with a boss at the end only to gain 40-60 primogems (at best) which is not even good for a single pool you end up losing motivation. We're talking about a gacha game that would not lose AT ALL in being a bit more generous in everything:
    – Better and bigger loot to compensate the low resin, bigger rewards, more daily activities that don't feel like I'm wasting my time… it's not even about the money, Mihoyo's clearly well off.

The fact the anniversary is what it is just felt like a punch in the gut for the players who've been here since close to the beginning, considering other gacha games out there (Dissidia FF, FGO, Granblue Fantasy, to name a few) who tend to be pretty damn generous in their "THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT THIS LAST YEAR!" just makes people wonder what the heck are we wasting our time on when there's far better player treatment somewhere else.

Cuz let's face it, a lot of players play Genshin out of habit cuz "the dailies don't take long and if I ever want to keep playing I'll have a primogem stock" is the excuse Mihoyo wants us to give ourselves constantly, but there will be a time when we'll say "why bother" and that's when we hit the kind of burnout that we just uninstall the game and never look back.

  11. genshin is for the casual gamer: those kinds of people who don't spend their every living minute on a game. i like this kind of relationship with my games. sure, genshin takes some effort and still consumes a sizable portion of my day, but that's not the only thing i do. and the fact that im still low ar could be a big factor as to why im not burnt out yet

  12. I still have a ton of content left to do because I’m playing super casually but I already received a burn out because some things just feels like a chore. I’m taking a small break from it and trying other things so I can miss it and come back lol

  13. Thanks to you, I decided to quit playing this game… The thing I've been wondering was this: burnout, doing the same lame dailies every day, only for 60 primogems… We need more freemogems, more vouchers, more anniversary rewards……… This is a fiasco…

  14. i also feel a bit pressured to log in, do commissions and spend resin so i can get primos and good artifacts, but i tend to play honkai more now because there’s way more to do and regular updates on story content. i’ll probably come back committed in 5.2 for hu tao and yae, because they’re two characters i really want

  15. Burnout? More like tired of doing the same useless mindless stuff for 12 months. Delivering shoes to random npcs, listening to useless monologues and talking about mundane stuff. But hey, cool game.

  16. im pretty SURE the Trigger of Genshin' community madness that happen recently is because this Gacha Gamer video.
    🙃
And Genshin is fallen. After that, from what game you will make content now?
People that already encouraged to quitting also dont need to watch your game guide video anymore

  17. Regarding the endgame, i do feel it is a serious issue. Thinking about it, i don't know why they just don't implement Diablo 3 style rifts. Feels like it could be fun, and it provides infinite progression and an excuse where to use your artifacts other than abyss.

  18. In my opinion, the only people suffering from burn out are content creators/streamers that make Genshin Impact their entire identity and people who play the game for 6-8 hours every single day for whatever reason. If you play multiple other games and treat genshin like the side game that they clearly want it to be treated as, you'll literally never burn out. I've been playing since the game launched and haven't missed a single day of comissions, spending resin and obtaining rewards from events.

TL;DR: Don't have Genshin as the only game you play and don't base your entire identity around it, Gacha games are not designed to be played 8 hours a day 7 days a week.

  19. I already felt burned out around february and skipped for 2-3 months.
Doing dailys feels like a job and I bought the welking + battlepass for some months, but the game still doesn't feel good. Guess, I'm done now after playing for 9 full months.

  20. wish mihoyo implements a pvp i would love to see if my razor or my friends razor is stronger or like a competition style type you know like how high your bennet can buff or how high your barbara can heal you know and mihoyo I know they want to try and build the whole of teyvat but I think that may take long so either they make things a bit faster or try and make the archon quest more enjoyable

  21. The complaints about the anniversary rewards should be F2P players. For myself, as a F2P player I dont mind about the rewards. If you see closely there’re dozen of primogems rewards from events. And about the game, just play it for the story, enjoy the events. Try to obtain heroes as much as possible. The best part of Genshin is the story. It’s so good.

  22. Law of diminishing demand: anything that you constantly consume will eventually diminishes its value. Playing genshin for too much for hours on end will eventually become boring, similar to if you eat your favorite meal every day will evemtually turn stale and you crave for something different

  23. Its also good to consider that at the beginning of genshin impact, everyone was new to the game, so the emphasis was mor on the experience than anything. But nowadays, its more of which is the best comp, which is the best artifacts.

Its like the game has been broken down to the finest details that everything is either go or no go.

Every game has this issue. League at its beginning was much more of an alternative dota allstars and the experience was much more leaning towards experimentation. Now everything is tried out and everyone expects you to know something sbout the game, even as a beginner

Counter strike started out as more having fun.3klicks philip made a video about hostsge maps were the norm back then and it was more to hsve fun, rather than to be good. And now cs have countless lineups, countless strategies that it went from having fun, to gettings wins.

Even fortnight started out as another take of the Battle royale genre with building as its feature. But now building is a necessity.

Minecraft with more of slowly progresing your way to the end, to hwving automatic everything farms and going to the end in 30 min

Overwatch was an alternative tf2, where you can use anyone you want, to getting bannable if you dont switch to what it the meta/team needs.

My point is the fun and the nostalgia was when everything is new and the experience is new. But as the community grew, the meta or "Most efficient Tactix Available" was born, in genshins case, that would be a main dps,sub dps, support, andor healer. Everyone has a role nowadays. Compare that to when you first started out when your party is literally full of main dps.

Overall, the community hot burned out because people got too analytical, and less about enjoying or exploring. (Even moonchaser chest locstion can be looked up in the internet.)

  24. I just want a guild system and then some sort of content that incentivises co-op play…. its so sad that you can play this game as a complete single player and not miss out on a single thing

  25. yes, the fatigue is real, and to fight that, i actually gave up on genshin for around 15 days, and when i restarted again, the game felt so so much refreshing and lovable! i know resin is really valuable, still the amount of fun and joy you'll get after taking a break is more worth it, for in game experience, physically and mentally. i strongly recommend it!
