  1. these are all good points, however, if you have kokomi, using her as a main driver for the team makes that less of an issue. I play a team of Nilou, Collei, dendro MC and Kokomi and survival is never an issue. I'm not even saying to build dps koko, mine's on a healer build, but as long as you have enough ER to refresh her skill when it needs it and to make her NA heal, survivabilty isn't much of an issue

  2. Kaveh heals from blooms which is why he s good for bloom teams
Yao yao and kokomi heal which is why they re also good for bloom
Nilou has a lot of Hp and benefits from taking dmg from bloom which is why she s made for them
For burgeon, use thoma for shield
And then there s hyperbloom which doesn t dmg ur characters at all
I think that bloom is really fun to play, if we re talking bad design the only thing that i can think of is geo not reacting with dendro

  3. Kaveh, Kirara, Yao Yao Kokomi and Baizhu are all great teammates for Nilou bloom. Pop Nahida and 2 of the above units with Nilou and you dont have to worry. Sustain units exist for a reason.

  4. Pro-tip: for playing Barbara or Kokomi in Nilou bloom, instead of building them full EM you can build them for healing and still kill things really fast whilst feeling way more comfortable. They already get a lot of EM through various buffs on the team (Nilou buffs EM, dendro resonance buffs EM, some dendro characters buff EM such as Nahida, Nilou's signature weapon buffs EM if you have that) and you already get EM through Sacrificial Fragments, which is already a great weapon to use on either of them thanks to its passive. And on top of all this, EM has diminishing returns, meaning the difference in your bloom damage by using a more healing-focused build instead of a full EM one isn't as large as you think. It might not be the team's damage ceiling, but it's still a lot more damage than many other strong teams and is more than capable of comfortably 9-starring abyss 12, even at surprisingly low resin investment.

  5. Kaveh exists and if you die of Bloom it’s just a big Skill Issue, you need to play Bloom with a healer and if you die with a healer you either have to go out of range or just make or get a better healer

  6. THat's the point. It's overwhelming in damage to both enemies and yourself so you can't just use it without consequence. You have to either have safeguards up, or be aware of location and strategize where you want them to be and where you want to be. As far as healing goes, it's not hard at all to cover the bloom's damage in any of its forms.
I will say I think there is an obvious imbalance between hyperbloom and burgeon as well as the whole aggravate vs burning thing. However, the same could be applied to stuff like Melt/Vaporize and other reactions, with the latter also applying that much more to bosses who can't freeze and have such high hp that the time that certain reactions lasts and the damage they can output almost laughable. Continuing from the original comparison though, the other reactions are still more than functional enough to be viable.

Bloom goes in as many directions of making you think about how you can use it as I hoped stuff hydro and electro would have expanded to have.

Additionally, there are characters whose whole gimmic is making it so the blooms don't harm them and even do the opposite. Namely Kaveh.

  7. Look bloom in itself is already a high damage and low investment reaction if they didn't add the self damage thing (that's btw very easy to circumvent with good healer or shielder) the bloom reaction would be entirely too broken (especially compared to other elements) and wouldn't that be a bad game design?

  8. Kirara helps a lot with her shield. Especially c4 allows her to apply Dendro off-field three times per Skill use, assuming the on-field characters hit enemies with their Normal Attack Talents. I use her with Nilou, Kokomi And Nahida, and i gave Kokomi 4pc Flower of Paradise Lost to make more damage from bloom, and also her EM is above 250

  9. When sumeru first came out I thought I was going to love dendro, but I just don't have fun using it. The only dendro characters I have built is collei & then Im building Yaoyao now because I only have one healer (Shinobu). I knew why I didn't like bloom, it takes too long to do & they also will spawn & then the enemy will move out of their range. & Burning is fairly useless so I knew why I didn't like that either. I'm not exactly sure why I don't like spread/quicken/aggravate, it might honestly just be I don't really like the electro & dendro dpses in the game (the only one I have built is Lisa & I haven't used her in a really long time). Also my dislike of dendro might also be from how it's supposed to be all about reactions but it's the element that reacts with the least other elements (dendro has 3, geo & anemo have 4, cryo has 5, & pyro hydro & electro have all 6), & the ones it can't react with are the ones I most commonly use, so it's pointless to use it with most of my characters I main. I'm not even sure what the point Im making is here Im just annoyed when people treat dendro reactions as the only good team comp.

  10. If there’s no enemies to kill you how are you dying maybe it’s just because I’ve never played a bloom team before but shouldn’t kokomi be able to keep on top of healing you I could get if the enemy’s mix with bloom are a problem but now I’m curious

  11. I disagree, I think it is a good well balance design.
If you have a hard time surviving then build your healer towards more healing instead.

And if you're still dying because you're not good at playing this team then good luck getting Kaveh
