A pro and con about Ayaka's DoT is that if it missed once, it most likely will hit the enemy again, but it is also bad against teleporting enemies. Doing a lot of damage at once (Like Eula, Hutao, etc) is good for finishing off the opponent during is vulnerable point, but if it misses, there is no damage done.
Wait, they said Eula is better than Ayaka? Man, I suck at using Eula.

In a melt team, she's gonna be the enabler (for Xiangling for example). I would imagine Thoma's skill and burst are gonna be enabled by Ayaka as well.

Ayaka is the most technical character they have introduced, especially if you are doing solo Abyss runs.
I do not agree with the majority of youtubers that her c1 and c6 are underwhelming. These constellations are the corner stones of evening out her kit to provide consistent high dps.
C1 means a reduction of 2-3 seconds on your E which a.) increases her effective energy recharge rate for her burst b.) increases uptime to stagger enemies and increases overall dps.
C6, after using her sprint + E, increasing her charge attack damage to an insane level due the combination of her passive talents and the 300% charge attack increase.
C6 also gives a unique lighting and sakura bloom effect which is so cool on her right hand.
Nobody seems to understand that her charge attack has a wider AOE than visually seen and can be animation cancelled for quicker re-positioning.
So I disagree. C2 is amazing but is just a flat damage increase to her burst whilst being more forgiving if the main vortex misses. C4 is not 30% def reduction all the time. If enemy defense is at 0% then the reduction is 30%/2 = 15% or 85% of their normal defense value. Still strong but only if enemy defense % is above 0.
would it be good to use her as an enabler for xiangling burst? meaning xianling burst will be the main damage and procing melt while ayaka is just there to apply cryo. i really want to put xingqui on another team so i was thinking if ayaka can replace him
TLDR – NO.
I don't think she does less damage than Eula. Not mentioned she don't have major energy issues like Eula though they all have 80 energy cost brust.

I am confused about the comparison with eula. Are you stating that with just basic attacks she does slightly less damage than eula when eula has skill and burst or when she doesnt use either like ayaka. Are you comparing to a eula in burst rotation or eula outside of burst rotation?
