  1. "A man never stands as tall as when he kneels to help a child" did not expect to get that random nugget of gold from this, that quotes so cute

    Also yay! Been excited for your video on this ever since I played through it ^^

  2. I stand by Hu tao principles. Let the ded be ded. Let them go. Traping them in between life and death like this feels so wrong. Feels evil. You cannot save everyone. Sometimes letting go is best choice here.

  3. I love this story quest and I sometimes get annoyed by how some people get angry at Hu Tao for disliking Baizhu’s way of doing things. In truth, they both represent the struggle against death. Hu Tao merely accepts it as a fact of life and a final step in the walk of life, with Wangsheng Funeral Parlor merely acting as the intermediary between that process. She wants people to see Death as she does and not as a scary process and to simply allow the natural order of things occur.
    On the contrary, Baizhu has been blessed (or cursed) with Changsheng’s power to heal others, but he can’t undo the painful reality of death. He wants to save everyone and not let them taste the pain of death, so if he can be the one to put an end to the cycle, he can do more than those who came before him and even save Changsheng. This directly makes him opposed to Hu Tao’s natural order of things and why they hate each other in that way.
    I think the tragedy personally for me is that we’ve seen throughout genshin that Immortality is not all it’s cracked up to be (Dainsleif, the people of Khanrei’ah, Zhongli). Erosion and the passage seem like a fate far worse than death and even Xiao warns Baizhu against this. It’s so tragic, but what makes this Doctor from Bubu Pharmacy so special ;-;

  4. My only worry about Baizhu, despite absolutely loving him, is that he repeatedly says something to the effect of "when I see a life that deserves to be saved…" and that sounds like it has a very high chance of becoming a person who personally judges a life's worthiness. It could be a translation thing, but that quote being mentioned a few times didn't sit right with me.

  5. So basically saying this npc got "qiqi-fied" hence the markings all over his body just like qiqi. And kidding aside, I loved this story quest aside from the jokes about baizhu being the reason for hu tao's funeral parlor going out of business, I understood why hu tao and baizhu and some animosity between them due to different beliefs.

  6. 1:15:54 I’m 95% sure that the voice narrating the first part of this cutscene was Sungwon Cho (ProZD).

    I’m also pretty sure he voiced an NPC in Layla’s hangout and the Geo Shroom in the Chasm from Nahida’s Storyquest 2.

    He was quite busy in 3.6 I guess.

    I really hope he voices a playable at some point.
