True DPS can only be measured against an enemy which can be beaten around 5 minutes due to its huge HP and can hit really hard. This is when damage consistency, energy recharge, and crit rate can play a big role as well as survivability and sustainability through shield, heal, and defense.
Big rare damage number will be proven pointless especially if its RNG based, if it fluctuates, or if your rotation gets delayed due to lack of ER.

Neuvillette, Arlecchino and Alhaitham… in that order, for a number of reasons. Consistency, access to ftp weapons, survivability and flexibility without cons. Or just at C1…. Though Alhaitham could be 2nd here…

Ah the same ganyu vs hutao debate, with neuv vs arle, one consistent super high dmg, other one pffers crazy high peak damage intervals, neuv is better for low spenders and f2ps wanting to 36* abyss(from a f2p who has both)
I was an Arlecchino skeptic and have my Furina/Neuvillette team, which i absolutely love, but….OMG is Arlecchino strong!
Wasn't going to pull her, but decided to try her on my 2nd account…
Now have C1 on my main account and am loving her.

Using alhaitham as dps without c2 nahida doesnt make much sense better to use him in quickbloom/hyperbloom
Neuvi is still my fave. Very tanky, heals himself and consistent high damage. Arlecchino is very risky, high damage but it decreases over time and can only be healed by her burst. Alhaitham unga bunga everything with hyperbloom team 🤣 but all of three, my fave is alhaithan.
neuvillet is in a diffrent league, no one should do tht crazy dmg when its tht easy to play with it, bros a hydro canon plain nd simple, reaction is easy,aim is easy, grouping is easy, build is easy, weapons are available for f2p
Bruh why u using bennet and lisa for alhaitham, at least use nahida or else his damage would be ass. Even f2p kuki yaoyao and xingqiu with alhaitham does more damage than ur alhaitham team

Neuvillette won't shine with just one enemy, but safe to say neuvillette is the most balance character currently.

nobody wanna believe that arlecchino was the fastest to beat raiden in this showcase / if u calculate the seconds from the moment of switching to the main dps (not combo time)
As an user of both neuvillete is better
Its not skill issues or any thing like that
Neuvillete deals the same dmg ( some times a bit lower)
In a bigger aoe
With more hp
And better healing
He also does not have that
Life bond system which causes dmg deacrease
He is just an undeafetable tank
I put him solo on one side of abyss
And then arlechinno with kazuha mona and bennete on other side
