So far all the harbingers seems to have some sort of sad background, and they are only doing ruthless things because they have no other means left to rebel. Like this about arlecchino, scaramouche's abandonment, Rosalyn's original vengeance against the abyss, Childe falling into abyss(i mean for a kid it must be traumatizing no? at least he got out of it stronger..but i feel there is more), Pierro being the sage at the court of King of Khaenriah but being unable to stop disaster, etc etc.
So far Dottore is the only one who seems genuinely evil and cruel, but i have a feeling, that Zandik..was not evil. He was probably framed. Zandik worked at the Elezar hospital near Aaru village, a lot of people think he was conducting experiments(in the past) there..but maybe he was genuinely trying to help people and in the end ended up triggering some kind of taboo trying to find a cure to Eleazar(as you know Eleazar is related to abyssal knowledge and no traditional method can cure it.) and maybe he was at the cusp of breakthrough but he was framed and exiled? because we know that at that time Sumeru wasn't being overseen by Rukkhadevata and sages were corrupt AF.
They released this anime the day before just to wipe out everyone's credit cards, I believe it will be the one that will make the most profit for them in the entire Genshin Impact era to date.

12:07 Clervie actually the harbinger's own daughter as per the Chinese version, also she punishes her own daughter for being weak. In the scene where small knave bandaged Clervie and asks why her mother treat her badly, Clervie just dodged that question by mentioning northern light. Before the last fight scene she also compare her daughter with the wilted flower and told that she is innocent and kind which is useless qualities to her.
