Hello everyone! Hope you all enjoyed my Arlecchino battle theme! This theme is one of my more aggressive one and I’m very happy on how it turned out, and I hope you do too! I read the comments from my previous Fatui fanmade themes and I noticed that several people say that my fanmade themes lack a bit if adrenaline rush as the tempo of the song is lower than the usual Fatui boss themes that are official from Hoyo. So what I did was raising the tempo of the song to have that adrenaline rush feel and just overall felt more fast paced since Genshin has quite a fast paced combat style as well as experimental sounds. So I hope you enjoyed what I came up with!
As for the composition, I used a lot of experimental sounds such as the percussion that sounded more like an SFX and felt more inhuman (that’s the idea I’m going for). These inhuman like sounds are there to give the feeling of being in an unfamiliar territory and just overall terror. Arlecchino is a character that we haven’t met and based on Childe’s thoughts about her indicates that even her loyalty towards the Tsaritsa is questionable. I figured that this type of person is really dangerous as she will do anything that will benefit her.
Right after the Fatui was heard, I transitioned the track to have a rock feeling to boost the adrenaline while also being accompanied with a downward playing of the strings as well as choir staccattos to further support the adrenaline and terror. As we arrive to the next section, a choir legato was heard and I composed that motif for Arlecchino, she oversaw an orphanage called House of the Hearth in Snezhnaya which then the orphanage indoctrinated the orphans into the Fatuis. The female legato choirs were to give a sense that Arlecchino is like a mother figure or something similat to that, for the orphans. However I wrote the melody with the intention to sound a bit haunting and dark since the orphans might not know that they will be indoctrinated to the Fatuis. So that’s my thought process on creating my own take of Arlecchino’s theme. After those sections are basically combining melodies and rhythms of the song to have diversity in the composition!
So that’s like a simplified explanation of my thought process behind the composition, I don’t want to bore you too much with the little details hahah, as I’m really interested on how you interpret it as well! Overall that is my thought process behind this theme and I hope you all enjoyed as much as I did! I’m really proud of this one hahah, I hope you all have a good day and once again, enjoy!
I imagine Arrlechino having a fighting stile similar to Raven from honkai Impact 3rd, that is to say, using a bow and claws to fight at close range.

This represents the essence of Arlecchino's power.
Not one of physical might or combat prowess, though I am certain she knows how to fight too, her power is that of sheer aura that commands your very soul to lose focus and give in.
She indoctrinates children for a living, and while kids are gullible – I am more than sure she knows how to gaslight you into thinking You are the powerless one.
It's just an assumption – But I think she'll be the type of character that doesn't have to lift a finger to defeat you – Her words and aura of confidence and pure MALICE will do it for her.
This sounds like 1st phase. Last phase should be abit psychopathic and deranged but melancholic at the same time

I came to listen to this music with a negative thought of "Yeah, this guy is just some random wannabe composer and the theme not gonna fit her at all." but holy fuck not only that I was proven wrong but I also got dynamite kicked in the face by the fact how well this masterpiece fits her! It's like the artist stares into her eyes for 12 hours straight reading to what she had in mind, listen to her voice over and over again and somehow translate (I sure as shit this is one of the hardest part) those feeling into music.
Amazing job for proving my skepticism wrong!
