lack of videos recently, been busy and this one took a LONG time to make sure everything was accurate, especially because a lot of showcases tend to be misleading and I wanted to avoid that. Hope you enjoyed!

might make a wavebreaker fin vid maybe soon since a lot of people have been overrating it btw

  1. I thought you were going to include the new polearm Wavebreaker's Fin. Would love to see a damage comparison on this from an R1 vs to an R5 going against Engulfing for Raiden Shogun.

  2. since I already had the jade spear, I didn't even bother upgrading dragon's bane for my hu tao… until I tried upgrading it for xiangling and tried out the damage with hu tao. a R2 dragon's bane dealt 28% more damage (with vaporize) than the jade spear, despite being a 4* weapon! (given, the dps increase is probably a little smaller than 28% since I lost a bit of crit rate, but still!)

  3. So basically only Staff of Homa.
Probably I will be dead tired of the game before it's ever convenient for me to pull on a weapon banner, I just cannot spend the same amount of Primos for a new character, so moveset, team combs etc. on a mere stats upgrade

  4. Would really love a video about optimizing rotations, funneling energy and having optimal Energy Recharge, it could also go into the difference in between running an ER Sands VS using artifacts with ER substats :O

  5. 4 star characters get less stats overall the same way 4 star weapons do vs 5 stars Someone more of a support like xinagling doesn't need it because her primary power comes from her applying pyro than her being the dps carry. Slamming bennet into the team with pyro buff and his ult is just an unfair comparison. Sure hu tao might not use bennet's buff, but comparing them that way doesn't seem that fair. Even with it her auto's aren't the damage it's xiangling's ultimate put that to hutao's ult with a mona ult the same way they use bennet and the damage is only a fraction of hutao's.

  6. Honestly I think artifacts matter way more than weapons. Obviously you want a decent weapon but if your artifacts are cracked your characters are going to perform well. For example I finally rolled a decent viridescent piece for my Xiao. My previous one had def main stat – I had to use it to get the 2-piece bonus and the sub stats rolled decently. I finally got a attack % one that rolled attack %, flat attack, crit damage and crit rate. After switching to that piece my Xiao started hitting 14k crits with his Q up from 10k. That’s 4K more per plunge. During the entire Q window that’s a massive increase in dps.

  7. Went for the Homa since the bow is also solid in terms of setting up big DPScreenshots. Got the Bow, Aquila, and then Homa. But in that final 10 pull I got a second Homa. Considering I basically run a ton of pole arm users, this was the best case scenario I could ask for a monthly spender.

  8. I'm waiting patiently for a rerun of PJWS for my Xiao. I'm on about 97% CrR and 155% CrD with Deathmatch but I really want the damage boost. I've already built artifacts to switch and compensate for the loss in crit rate. I really want to see what 100% Crit Rate looks like with healthy damage.

  9. Changing artifacts makes showcases worthless. What the point to change arts? I want to see difference between weapons and how i can see that when you change arts too? Even if difference in dps cant be showed properly in numbers onfield, so I dont need that showcase, just show sheets with calculations.
Or you can make showcases with 4*/5* I kill that boss in X/Y seconds to show difference

  10. generally speaking 5 star weapons have 20% more stats than an equal 4 star weapon with the same stats distribution, so by default its usually the better option, unless the substat doesnt match or the passive effect aint very good, sometimes though, the 4 star weapons have really powerfull passives which make up for the stat difference such as the bow Rust for example which becames really strong for any normal attacker especially with refines which are alot easier to get for 4 stars.

  11. Wonderful calculations, lots of insights here. Particularly we see that many 5 star weapons are actually not as substitutable compared to various 4 star alternatives. It does put into a new light the criticisms levelled against a weapon like Moonglow. You got to consider the average improvements of many variations between 5 star and 4 star weapons before calling a weapon trash.

  12. Hello, Zy0x. Can you make a video where you discuss “future proof” characters? Consider c0 to c6 units like Xiao, Ganyu, Mona, Bennet, et al. I would love to hear your opinion about it.
