✏️ Genshin Impact version 3.2 is finally here along with new 5 star character Nahida and the next chapter of Sumeru’s Dendro Archon questline which will finally reveal fatui harbinger “The Doctor” and his plans to create a god with the illusive character Scaramouche in one of the most epic boss fights Genshin Impact has ever seen. Keep in mind that I may come off as dry or sarcastic, but I’m doing this for the sake of comedy.. most of the time. If I’m being honest, I’m an oldschool Genshin Impact fan who was REALLY into the lore and main story, but the main plot has really dropped off in my opinion and just doesn’t hook me like it used to as characters go on and on about pointless exposition like this description.

At long last, the story involving Scaramouche and the gnosis he stole from inazuma has concluded. While I still strongly believe they need to cut down on the useless dialog and exposition, I REALLY enjoyed the final moments of the questline.

APPARENTLY the ending hints at something special, but I couldn't see the end because the game suddenly forced me to complete like 3 other long boring quests.. I'll get around to it eventually, but as far as I'm concerned, it's all over.

My takeaway from this questline is that a lot of it felt very forced, almost like the writers were trying to please fans, but also retcon any loose ends so they could start fresh. While I'm very harsh on the writers, constantly talking about how lazy they are, I think the true protagonist of the story is the company behind the game.. they've slowly butchered any depth the writers had in order to make a more uniform product that's easier to digest and thus easier to sell and earn money from.

I for one was VERY invested in the Genshin Impact lore up to this point, but started to feel a strong disconnect ever since the Liyue story ended all that time ago.. while I won't quit playing Genshin, I won't play it as ruthlessly as I used to, and a lot of that is owed to the bad writing.
