All Gnosis and 8th Element Uncovered | Genshin Impact Theory

This Genshin Impact Theory video will explain the identities of all the Gnosis and which Archons holds them in the game of Genshin Impact. This video will also attempt to uncover the identity of the 8th Element, which is currently known as the Unknown Element that is associated with Dainsleif and Khaenri’ah.

I will also attempt to debunk the Raiden Shogun is the King Theory and also go over the identity of the Pawn in chess and how it relates to the game of Genshin Impact.
What are all the hints and breadcrumbs left by miHoYo for us to find and connect the dots with?
What is really going on in the world of Teyvat?
All this answered in this Genshin Theory.

Genshin Impact Patch, new update, new Story Quests and world quests. Visions, new bosses, new events. Kokomi is good? When will we get more, awesome super, story quest that gives us more information about the lore of Genshin Impact. High damage and one shotting bosses are great. Memes are also super funny. But the story and lore is the one of the best aspect in this game. Looking forward to Sumeru when it finally releases.

  1. Yes, i do think that the Mihoyo games are related and are in the same universe. The traveler and their twin travel between worlds, the current one being Teyvat, but we never heard anything about the other worlds, and the world of Honkai might be one of the worlds they went or were planning to go to. We can suspect the unknown god is from the world of honkai cuz of their skill and design. The abyss order probably knows that valuable info, which is why the traveler's twin works with them, instead of working with the Archons who the traveler is working with as they are hiding the truth from three traveler.

  2. I've always viewed Celestia as the king piece. If Celestia can't avoid falling (or capture) then the game would be over being 'checkmated' by the other side. Which could be the other sibling/the abyss or those opposing the archons. Whatever you believe the black pieces to be. But this isn't the only way chess can end.

One could resign, "acknowledging that your opponent has reached a position so strong that only through gross mistakes would he/she lose". This could be what happens to Celestia in the endgame when only two or one gnoses remain. Realizing it can't keep its control.

Illegal moves are another option. If one side makes an illegal move and the other side can claim a win before moving. IF they have enough material to win. Celestia could possibly do this without realizing it doesn't have enough material to win.

Another are draws. There are many ways a draw can occur but one is "both sides agreeing to draw after one makes an such an offer" Celestia could make an offer to the Tsaritsa to end their game and return the gnoses. Or if the black pieces are the other sibling then we (the player) could get taken by Celestia and our sibling would save us or something.

  3. I love how everything is a "hint" or a "mysterious clue" for these people. I mean, looking from a design point of view, making everything from character's names to colors on loading screens to be a meaningful hint on the main plot of a game would be a lot of work, and a cooperation of multiple areas of game design that have a great chance of being a big mess in the end. Not worth the trouble, its way easier to tell the story just by telling the story like every game does. Not to mention that the story isn't the main focus of the game, despite being relatively deep for a gacha game. The storytelling team usually doesn't have that much influence over other areas like UI design and gameplay. They may help, but usually that's just a little bit

  4. What if… The unknown god is the black king , related to Paimon in someway having the power that opposes that of Paimon. And Dainsleif being the opposing player , having control of power similar to that of the delusion power source

  5. I would think that the player playing the black pieces is the leader of the abyss. Being the king of khanrea. The king probably is connected to the power that cursed dainslief to be immortal.

  6. Sounds like you were reaching with your theories. Genshin Impact is loaded with satire, too. "Boy raised among wolves" or the quint essential brother trope between Kaeya and Diluc. I'm not saying you're wrong, but you have a lot of confidence in your theories with mostly speculative evidence; apart from the obvious parts which aren't speculative — such as the slimes and their elemental associations. Associating monsters, dualism between characters, these are not "MiHoyo" exclusive. Most of them are satirical clichés that happen to be very well written and illustrated. Even the names are satirical. Fatui meaning "fool". Mondstadt, clearly European influence in aesthetic, translates to Moon from German. Liyue can be loosely translated to "Jade Moon" from Chinese — which Liyue is full of continental Asian aesthetics. Inazuma has Japanese aethetics and literally means lightning. I don't mean satirical as a "joke". The film American Psycho is a satire of 80's yuppie culture, but was originally branded as a horror film because the idea of satire was lost on a lot of people at the time of its release.

I also don't mean to sound like a dick, it's just that the confidence in your theories suggest that you are declaring facts based on speculative observations that can't be confirmed. For example, colors mean a lot in Genshin Impact. At the beginning of the game, Aether has no color — if you look at his emblem, he has a vision-"style" emblem like the other characters. Typically in these kind of pantheon stories, wild card characters tend to be represented by the number 0. 0 – 7 still makes 7 kings if the wildcard Zero (Clarity, colorless, clear, crystal) is the true origin point, it would be compatible with all elements. This is why when you receive Wind, your clear crystals turn Teal. When you receive geo, your crystals turn orange, and purple for electro. I'm not saying you're wrong and my theory is correct. I'm just saying that you were very confident in defending speculative observations without really considering that the Traveler also represents duality. Both are colorless twins, and the first singularity (first deity) in many creation stories became a twin or dual God out of loneliness. Yin and Yang, etc. The colorless king would have no power of his own, because his origin value would be Zero or null. Since Zero is defined as null, this dynamic variable can be redefine its value using any element since it essentially has a blank pallet.

The beginning scene also implies that the twins are fallen Gods or fallen Angels (their wings do not resemble gliders). It was mentioned that Khaenri'ah was actually in Teyvat during one of the quests, i believe — but the traveler doesn't outright claim to be native to Khaenri'ah; but rather a witness to its destruction. Again, speculation, but I mean; you're reaching to call Paimon a God and they already made that joke when they made Gouba a god. I doubt they would put two clichés in one game.

  7. Furthermore on paimon being a time god of sorts, the idea that the domains can be repeated could be paimons ability to rewimg a domain. Think about how you're able to beat childe and davalin over and over again with both characters showing a clearly that they do not change.

  8. If we associate Paimon as the God of Time, and Dainsleif as the opposing king due to him also being related to the traveler, could we assume that the abyssal element is Space? In the cutscene where the 2 travelers meet each other, the one from the abyss seems to tear through space maybe hinting that the abyss uses the power of space.

Although maybe this is all wrong because you previously said that no one can take the form of the king’s element, but we can see the traveler as well as the abyss herald using it at the hanging statue in the act IV prelude quest, or maybe they don’t exactly use Dainsleif’s power as theirs is more purple compared to Dainsleif’s blue

  9. I just think we are the chess player an we are playing against the the abyss (the game) we play as the traveler (pawn) and we get the help from all the other pieces archons (other chess pieces), and the other player the abyss is using their resources to beat us, so we need to play against them to win, as of now every main bad guy have been related with the abyss (I think th fatui are some how related to them).

  10. Doesn't the battle pass clear the confusion of what color each side represent. "From a kingdom came a crown heir task with seeking out the genesis pearl from the kingdom of darkness" but then the heir was deceived and now she believed that she was the queen of the kingdom of darkness (the opposite twin) but at the same time, a second heir (us) have appeared to continue the path where the first (the twin) had stumbled.

  11. Perhaps, Kazuha's friend's Vision activated temporarily during that moment when he lunged at the Shogun to defend the adventurer is because his friend's ambition that he died trying to accomplish was to find out if he could be the one who could withstand the Musou No Hitotachi. So Kazhua must've felt some deep will to block the Musou No Hitotatchi attack from hitting the Adventurer, which is why the vision temporarily activated.

  12. The dichotomy of chess pieces is an interesting lead, and it's a solid theme for research in the game, however, there's still a thing going on that, while being connected to the chess meta, doesn't end with it; let's take the lore of the archons we know – barbatos was the lowest in power during the war, yet he became a queen, could this possibility be a hint at that the current game of chess isn't the first one? Ei has inherited the title of an archon from makoto – that's the reason for why i believe that orobashi and the archon war were a separate match. The war itself and the khaenriah fall have made tsaritsa's personality change drastically, making her a scheming politician, collecting all the power she could get (gnosi) – could the theme be that the pieces are fighting against the game master/players, e.g. celestia and possibly us, the players? Also, osial was defeated this time not by morax, but the adepti and people, so here's that.

In short, chess lead is great, but so are the ties between ingame politics, personalities, lore and the game of chess that's going on. There might be a second layer of meta, playing an ARG with us, the players, who are willing to participate by uncovering this info and creating theories.

  13. My theory: The 8th element is the… STARS! see how razor smelled the traveler and explained it as the stars. Scaramouche talks about the stars. Dain and kaeya have star like designs around them, they both have connections to kaenre'ah.
