  1. Note on bloom: Only Kaveh and Nilou can do regular bloom. Hyperbloom with full EM Kuki is very good and easy to build. Fischl can't hit the blooms to trigger hyperbloom. She is better in aggravate (dendro+electro only). I'm not back-seating. Just Fischl and Kuki maxing<3

  2. The Aranara world quest would involve a couple of terms that may become confusing later on. But for now, let's take a list of what you've gotten so far with the meaning that was provided in the story! I'll do my best to update this as you go through the story and learn more worlds!

➤ Aranara- "Forest (Ara) people (Nara)"

(1:03:41) "I'm sure someone told me a story about a blonde girl before… Just like gold… and called a "Nara" (person/human) or something…"
➤ Arana- (1:24:09) The first Aranara that talks to us, a friend of Iotham, and (1:25:01) Rana's important friend

➤ Narana- Arana's nickname for Rana. Combination of Nara (human) + Rana .

    ➤ Marana – (1:16:02) The Withering

    ➤ Marana's avatar- (1:16:10) "It's a big black thing"

➤ Ararakalari- (1:16:31) A sort of forest (Ara) magic that "can protect people from the corrosion of Marana/Withering". Rana also describes it as a kind of music (1:16:39).
1:25:57 Arana later tells us to "sing" the Rhythm of the Great Dream to enter Varanara.

➤ Bija – (1:25:14) The "cure" to heal Rana after she got corrupted by The Withering

➤ Vanarana – (1:25:14) Place to go to get the cure… Meaning will be updated once you get there

I hope you continue enjoying Sumeru's story!

    "The forest will remember" :]

EDIT: @apoorvjoshi2383, a native Hindi speaker, was kind enough to reply to this and give more insight on the words used in this story particularly their Sanskrit origin! I've only noted down the simplified meaning of the words by the way they were used in the quest, but knowing their origins is very helpful too! I hope you get to read through it as well Roamer! It's so cool to learn about them more! Thank you as well apoorvjoshi2383 for it! <3

  3. God you are so wholesome and I love your Sumeru arc so much! It feels like I'm reliving version 3.0 with you. Even after Fontaine, Sumeru is my favourite nation, with my favourite characters and character dynamics and archon quest. And the music is also divine!!!

  4. It's so funny to me how everyone always picks number 4 box of candy. I've watched multiple playthroughs of this part and every person picks number 4, although there are so many to choose from. I also picked #4 when I played….

  5. if you want a dendro team that still utilizes fischl, just go for a quickbloom (quicken + bloom) team since you already got the characters needed (fischl, nahida, xingqiu, kazuha) it's a pretty verstaile team that can deal with ang situation. hyperbloom just doesn't cut it for fischl since oz can't rlly attack the dendro cores.

  6. I think there's a good chance you'll really love the Aranara quest because it's genuinely a great story, it's just long and there's lots to read so a lot of people got tired when they first went through it. In the end everyone is different – I was personally more exasperated by the desert questlines, but LOVED the Aranara quests.

  9. The Rana/Aranara quest is very enjoyable (still my favourite to this day), but from what I've discussed with people, the people who disliked it normally tried to do it in one sitting. It's much more enjoyable in small chunks like youre trying to do. There are plenty of good stopping points throughout. Trying to do it all at once wouldn't definitely be a bad idea.

  10. 17:25 I hope you will be speculating and telling us your speculations moving forward, you say you don't want to speculate on something you don't fully understand, but once you fully understand it, what is there to speculate? Speculating is part of not fully knowing and understanding something and being wrong in your speculations is also part of it and there's nothing bad or embarrassing in being wrong.
And also I'm sure a lot of people hope you hear your thoughts and theories on the matters before they're revealed to you, I think that's part of the fun ESPECIALLY for a game like genshin, while you obviously started playing it not that long ago so there's a lot of stuff already released for you so you can just, keep going without stopping that wasn't for a lot of us who play as the patches comes out, often we get some questions and we don't get answers for months, years, even still we don't have answers for a lot of stuff and so speculating and theorizing is a part of playing genshin. And a lot of people who played through these quests as they were comming out had their own speculations and theories that just ended up completely wrong (I had my fair share of those) and I'm sure we would love to hear your thoughts on those.

TL:DR dont stop yourself from speculating and theorizing without full knowledge on the matter

  11. This first part of Rana's quest was really good! Your excitement with the Aranara there was so awesome! I loved the voice you gave him.
You left this last video of the week in such a cliffhanger though… can't wait for Thursday!

  12. The purple mushrooms that pulse with damaging dendro spores can be stopped completely with pyro. If you need anything for mechanics that have been affected by pyro, then use dendro to restore. If you want to enhance anything that is dendro (including puzzles), use electro.
Mihoyo was super proud of their dendro mechanics, so they are in every ounce of this region.

  14. Just an idea: As you continue with the Aranara quest, it might be nice to start a little dictionary of common words they use! There is a LOT of lore (about some quite unexpected topics) hidden in the quest which goes over some people’s heads, and having a little cheat sheet for what they’re talking about can help you catch it.

For instance, the word Nara comes up a TON, and so does Ararakalari. There are guides on the wiki page for what everything means, but 1) that spoils what topics they’ll talk about, and 2) imo it’s a lot more fun to keep track of the words yourself and try to guess what they mean through context clues. Idk if you’d enjoy that type of gameplay, but I did a ton.

  15. Hey Calvin! So happy to see you having fun with Sumeru. The entire nation and its quests were long but most memorable to me. Personally. I loved this nation a whole lot and seeing you have such fun with it is really heartwarming. I agree with what you said the first time you played Sumeru… You said it looked like a whole different game and i agree. It looked nothing like Genshin at first but then it made so much sense too. It is gorgeous. You're gonna love the other areas you are gonna see next …
P.S… please check out the comment thread that is written by zevy718 …it may be too much information as Sumeru quests seem to be but if you want to screenshot them it'll help give you context to fhe Aranara / Rana Quest.

  16. I remember how "World… Forget me…" made me really intrigued too like how you are. I got goosebumps every time the story dropped the line. And boy, I'm telling you it didn't disappoint.

As I'm watching you uncover the archon quest, I realized why my favorite is Sumeru's. Every part of the story is necessary and is integral. Excited for more.

  17. 48:28 Rana is just so cute. 😍😍😍 she and Collei and Dunyarzad are my most favorite girls for Sumeru aside from Lesser Lord Dookdook

(P.s: you will know the Dookdook reference soon enough when you progress through the story)

  18. If you need to unlock much of the map in Sumeru you need the Aranara quest but the Archon Quest you can do without doing that
So you can do both at your leisure

Also to do Hyperbloom with Nehida you need to apply Dendro first then Hydro then Electro to enemies. Id suggest using Xingqui for the Hydro as she provides shield and fast Hydro application. For electro Id suggest using Kuki as her skills pops those Dendro blooms faster. Plus she also heals your active party
You can use Kazuha in the foruth party slot for grouping, etc.

    Anyways another great video
Take your time and enjoy the game
