Genshin Impact Just Made the Worst Possible Version of Artifact Loadouts

Genshin Impact is FINALLY bringing Artifact Loadouts to Genshin Impact.
However, it may be the worst possible version of this, that will help almost nobody. I am really sad about this

  1. just played genshin recently and i must say, HSR is miles better than it. You don't get punished by absolute garbage puzzles which gives you like 2-10 primos. I'm so happy that HSR is getting W's and genshin the L's every single time. Got Navia and Raiden so far sa i'm just chilling and saving for nahida and arlecchino, genshin is a perfect side game.

  2. So get this, if they add artifact load outs it cuts deep into their profits.

When you get a new character, you want the most busted artifacts possible to bring out their full potential, right? If they add artifact loadouts that means you won't be refreshing your resin with primos for 1 more run in the EoSF domain. Im a day 1 and in the beginning was easily dropping $100 a week on resin refreshes up till about 3.0.

But what happens when a new character you want comes out that you desperately want to simp for? You go to your wallet and potentially drop $250 on a new character. If you can just switch arties on a whim, all you need is 1 busted set and thats a BIG no no for mihoyo profits. The way genshin is set up, I don't think we'll ever get it. Too much money to be made and contrary to what people think Mihoyo's not dumb…..they are however an ass company which is why I no longer play.

  3. This wouldn't be a problem if they just allowed sharing artifact pieces among characters. The main complication that gets in the way of a proper loadout system here is that you can only equip a specific piece to one character at a time. So if you activated a loadout on one character and it happens to include a piece someone else is using, either they'll have to make it so a pop-up goes up every time where it says something like "Cannot equip this loadout because [character] is currently using [piece/s]" (which will be annoying as fuck,) or, they'll have to unequip those pieces on other characters you may have it on without you knowing which is worse because you might be using those other characters or forget to give those pieces back to them or whatever. Until they don't allow sharing pieces, the only real solution to this then would be that artifacts bound to a character's loadout cannot be equipped by other characters (unless they unbind them) but then I guess people would find that even more annoying since a lot of people like swapping pieces between characters.

  4. I think what the devs think that each character has 1 and only 1 best in slot loadout and people tend to not change it. However, there are situations that a character can have multiple sets and they didn't care or notice. Overall, ok feature but really need to advance further.

  5. Cool, another half assed stupid system Genshin implements that makes it free reign for Star Rail to implement it in the way people actually want for even more good PR. Genshin's development team are fucking incompetent.

  6. For the people who does not quite understand the rage:

We need a system that memorize setups. Basically when we want to change one memorized build to other one by 1 pressing button instead of searching the whole catalog and picking up one by one.

  7. It'll probably take another year for them to accidentally stumble on this video to get the feedback & another year to code & update the loadout system. This Indie game needs money to hire more devs 😢

  8. The simplest way they could have done loadouts would be to just have a 'Swap artifacts' where you swap artifacts between 2 characters. You'd be able to store artifact loadouts on unused characters and steal them when needed. Wouldn't be a perfect system, but would still be extremely simple but useful if they added it.

  9. Great video. I really hope that they made that post quite a while before launch so that they can listen to feedback on this.
The Raiden example was perfect – 1 click to switch between two different playstyles. I have that with Thoma when switching between his em and shielder playstyles. It's basically like a memory function – you restore these specific artifacts if they're not feeded or discarded. That's it.

  10. HOYO knows exactly what kind of artifacts loadout we want BUT they simply don't want to implement to FORCE players to farm different sets for all characters to keep us busy.

  11. I agree that the system still doesn't have quite what we wanted, but I do think you misunderstand. It does "steal" artifacts from other characters, there's an option to enable/disable this functionality and you have a confirmation screen before you commit where you can even choose alternatives, if for example one piece is on a character that you don't want to steal from then you can click on that piece and choose an alternative one. And you can filter by which set(s) to use. And you absolutely can choose crit rate/dmg as the primary stats and then atk% and ER for secondary and it'll look for the highest possible crit stats across all 5 pieces with attack and ER. Sure you can do all of this manually right now, but this is quite a big time saver.

Like I said at the start, not quite what we wanted yes and that's fair, but you make this seem a lot less useful than it actually is.

  12. why would they try to be better? when many of their players was just kids and non-gamer normal person that "just know what they know"(i dont hate this type of player and not blaming them) and "toxic positivity-wholesome" addicts and espescially when their stans always said "just accept it as it is" or "i just play casually/just for the story", and i believe when you look at that devs post comment many that would respond positively that make you think that player like us that think "this can be better" or "why not implemented this basic from years ago?" was the wrong/toxic one

be thankful of this extra small drop of water from your lord on this dessert of dry content, while they actually have whole of underground lake under their palace

  13. There is a copium theory that Hoyo is preparing the casual audience for a new version of endgame, I'm not going to hold my breath. But it would explain why Hoyo added this, I doubt it was case that they mistook what we were asking for.

  14. At this point I feel bashing on Genshin is almost unfair since it's so pathetic the efforts they put in trying to put new things. So let's just leave it with the best 3 words possible, Genshin would never.

  15. I think it's good especially for the Casual audience which is their major audience. They can just click quick "Equip" and forget about it.

However, Calling it a Loadout is mistake. Do Genshin devs even know what that means 🤣🤣

To be fair, HSR doesn't even have this system. Genshin probably just saw how HSR did it, copied it but added more filters.

Anyway, idk why both them can't make an improve version of HI3 stigmata presets.
    The solution is right there.

  16. I also wanted this on HSR to be able to switch between break and crit builds. Plus MC had different modes requiring different builds. I think MTashed also had similar issues with Diablo 4 too where it can be a pain to switch up character playstyle on the mood.
