Start play in this game!))
I forgot to mention this in your Char Demo reaction, but in this game you pick between 2 chars (both known as the Traveler by other chars). They are siblings. In game names are Aether and Lumine (you're free to pick your char's name), but yeah you either pick the guy or girl. In most of the Genshin impact trailers, you see the male traveler, Aether (he's in black, Lumine is in white). So if you get confused on who's the main char, that's why. I won't say when, but the other sibling (who you don't pick) still shows up in the game.
I won't be able to watch the whole video in one sit down, but one thing you should keep in mind is that a good chunk of the trailers are about limited time events. Few do reappear every year, but the story is always different. Like the 2 constant reappearing events are these 2-
1. Lantern Rite- always happens around New Years and always happens in Liyue. Yeah it's the game's version of the Chinese New Year. Seeing how Liyue is based around China (and Hoyoverse is a Chinese Company), it's no wonder this is a reoccurring event.
2. Summer Event- A whole new area is created for the Summer event, but it is temporary. The Summer event is usually used as a prelude to the next major update when the next region is dropped too. 1st Summer event (before Inazuma dropped), showcased boat traveling and one of the bosses was of Inazuman fashion. 2nd Summer event had a lot of musical themes and dreams (which play a role in Sumeru), plus in the epilogue of that story you actually hear the voice of the former Dendro archon. Last year's summer event the theme was a carnival and NPCs there were dressed in Fontaine fashion. Plus one of the NPCs has a direct link to the former Hydro archon. I am sure next summer they'll prelude Natlan in some way lol.
Besides special events, other trailers show events from World Events, Story Quests, and of course Archon Quests (main story). World events and Story Quests are basically side stories but they flesh out chars and the world of Teyvat more. I started playing this game during the 1st year anniversary after Inazuma dropped. One thing of note about Inazuma. You can't reach it until you complete Liyue's Archon quest because it's a group of islands off the mainland where the other regions are. I don't play it constantly so I don't get burn out. After spending a year building up a good strong team, it was after the Summer event that I finally continued the main story and finished Inazuma's Archon quest and I am about in the middle of Sumeru's Archon quest.
@1:06:55– You'd be right, that is Yuri Lowenthal. I won't say what char he plays in game, you'll just have to find out because he IS part of the main story. His char is not playable, but people are hoping he will be down the line.
30:55 He tried to fight Raiden in a duel where the loser dies because he heard her sword skills were impossible to withstand
50:08 So this was an event and Albedo had a dopelganger trying to take his place, this event was limited time so you can't play it anymore
1:14:54 No, all that stuff is just showcasing limited time events for the version, new weapons and new fonctionnalities
1:27:05 My favorite version trailers are 3.0, 3.2 and 4.2 without hesitation
1:28:50 Everyone cried at her teaser … Protect the cabbage 😭
1:40:10 About 1M per demo I reckon, and I'd say around 500k for version trailers
Hoyoverse (the studio that makes Genshin) has a branch called Hoyomix, which is where every OST and songs from Genshin comes from
There's a lot of other questions you had but I can't answer them because it's spoilet territory
If you're a fan of the music, I can recommend you to check out more of the game's OST. Especially the weekly boss themes. "Rage beneath the mountains" would be a good one to start off with. They're also just nice to check out on your own time if you don't want to do music reactions.
so you pointed out the OST alot of times and im glad u do
Genshin’s OST is actually (imo) has some of the best video game music
There’s alot of OST that we can recommend to you to react to, but you decide if you wanna experience them ingame or react to them lol
kinda like in 1:42:06 there is a whole ass boss battle theme for that and its goated, and that’s only one of them lmao
U should do the Collected Miscelanny videos too, those go about how to use the characters and their abilities, so you get an idea of how is ti play with them
play genshin when?
Just know that a lot of what you see in each trailer are limited time stories and events only to that version.
Mihoyo is a music company ngl
Great vid as always.
Many people wonder why Genshin is so popular because they assume people are just playing for pretty anime Waifus/Husbandos.
And while that IS a factor, there's so much more.
1. You noted the sound track. Genshin's soundtrack is one of the BEST video game soundtracks out there. I highly recommend reacting to the 2021 Official Genshin Concert (or finding a cut down version just showing Character theme songs).
2. The characters – it's not JUST that they look good. All of the characters in Genshin have unique personalities and backstories/lore. Most of them are well incorporated into the stories. Sure Neuvillette is cool, but his role in the story and the emotional connection you'll have as a player is what makes people want to play. Yeah Dehya's bad ass looking, but she's well rounded and her actions in the story is what makes you excited to play as her. (and to those who play, yes yes Justice4Dehya/FixDehya blah blah). You said the big robot reminded you of Power Rangers? It's actually more accurate to say that it's inspired by Evangelion, and the character in the robot is a walking Bohemian Rhapsody reference. While Cyno, the character you seem to like, is a Yu-Gi-Oh reference when he's not working.
3. The open world. Take a massive world like Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom and expand it by 10x that. I pointed out on another video how many nations there are. Each nation is huge, and have their own biomes/areas. Liyue has grassy plains to mountain structures that go above the clouds. Inazuma has multiple islands to explore. Sumeru is half rain forest half desert! And you get to run around it without loading times. With the exception of specialty areas, you're free to run around in any unlocked nation and unlocked part of the map.
4. There is always new content. The game updates every 40-ish days. All the version trailers you watched were within 40-ish days of each other. So when you said "So this is new. This is from this year". lol that was less than 3 months ago. While some patches are lighter than others in terms of events/story, there is still always content being released. If you pace yourself, you will never run out of stuff to do. Hell, I've been playing since 1.6 (2 years) and I'm still find things to do in earlier areas.
There's so much more, but this comment is long enough. I hope you're enjoying your Genshin journey, and hope you try out the game sometime.
My favorite OSTs are probably Rex Incognito (Zhongli's theme) and Ruu's melody (an NPC song from a world/side quest) Also, I would like to just put this reminder that Raiden is rumored to come in the next version (of course this is just a rumor, but I think it's very possible) so if you want to play, now is a good time to do it, since it'll give you time to save up for her~ :3
If you want more to learn abour combat , you should check all the miscellany, its gonna tell you about character skill, Ultimate and bit of lore and a demo of their fighting style.
Bro skipped the Poetry Trailer 😂
I mean, it is filler but goddamn he thought it was one of those version changes compilations.
I hope you can do the reaction to honkai impact 3rd animation or character trailer once they're good too🌚
This next plsss
genshin impact a winter night lazzo
genshin impact overture teaser the final feast (Furina is in this trailer)
genshin impact anime trailer
Hope to see some Honkai Star Rail reactions. Made by Genshin devs, its a new game, that also has its character demos and version trailers, but it also has lore trailers (myriad celestia trailers) and two animated shorts. Not as huge as genshin right now, but it is something worth checking
i literally have genshin playlist in my devices
Heads up for how X.X patches work:
*X – any number
(1) A patch lasts for 42 days, unless something happens over at their headquarters in China, they might have to extend or delay stuff.
(2) X.0 patches, will introduce a new nation, a permanent addition to the game.
A quick rundown:
1.0 = Mondstadt and Liyue
2.0 = Inazuma
3.0 = Sumeru
4.0 = Fontaine (we are here currently in the updates)
Here is Teyvat Chapter: Travail Trailer to give you an insight on the story + music per nation + expansion roadmap of Genshin:
https://youtu.be/TAlKhARUcoY?si=Z2LybeQgTSeEJZ9s
(3) Patches will always bring limited-time events: 1 Main Event (lasts for three weeks) and 3 mini events (lasts for two weeks), this will be distributed throughout the patch accordingly.
(4) X.4 patches, with the exception of 1.3, has, so far, landed on Lantern Rite festival in Liyue. The devs timed it up with the Chinese New Year during January. Limited-time event.
(5) Before X.0 patch come up, two weeks before release, they will release a story teaser correlating in the upcoming new main arc of the game. This trend of the devs only started before 3.0 becomes live.
(6) X.0 patches, with the exception of 1.1, will start a new arc in the main storyline of the game. Yes, alongside the new map expansion to introduce the nation that will host that storyline. Starting on 3.0, new main storylines extends from X.0 to X.2 patch. This is permanent content.
reaction genshin orcestra
if you like the music, you should react to some boss themes, they're insane
if you are going to play the game don't watch it "winter night lazzo" no matter what, the people who want you to whath it are just hyped thats it
Masquerade of the Guilty was definitely one of the bests. Maybe even the best. If you're starting the game you have to reach that point. Ofc not that the previous quests are trash, it's just that this particular one was built different. Good luck at starting the game.
Actually the music in this game is a one of the best best OST i ever heard. And this is a world level soundtrack, it was created together with London Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and Tokio Philharmonic Orchestra. There are several live orchestra performances available, epic boss themes, awsome battle themes, and atmosheric background themes, i'm shure you will be add that to your playlist
My favorite OST is Azhdaha boss theme and Scaramouche boss theme! You need to listen to it!
@1:10:35– This is one of the World quests that is permanent, so you'll be able to do it after you finish some pre-requisites. Like I not only had to finish Inazuma's Archon quest, but I also had to do a few character story quests too (like Itto's story quest). I've figured out why I had to do these certain ones. Now I haven't done this quest yet because I want to focus on Sumeru first (I like balancing things out between World Quests and Archon quests because World quests can be pretty hefty). What I can tell you about this quest, you're going to be going to a location in Liyue, but that's all I'll say.
Genshin Impact does in have several OSTs out for the music of the game. I think they come up with a new one each year based around the new regions. I don't know if it's still ongoing, but there's even a worldwide concert featuring the music of the game. Only happened in selective cities though. Like in the US, I know NYC was one of them and think L.A. made the cut too. I think out of all of the regions, Fontaine has had my fav music overall, but it's also because it sounds more like the classical music I am used to when it comes to instrumental music.
Yeah overall these trailers can get very intense. One thing I want to point out. When an updates to a new number, like 4.0 happened this year, it technically dropped in late summer/early fall. Trailers from this year started back with this year's Lantern Rite festival.
Welcome to the rabbit whole ✌️😁
Now all’s that’s left is the collected miscellany series. This series explains what the characters abilities are and how it works, some might be more complicated than others. Small snippets about their personality is shown as well, so if you want to learn more about the characters, watching the miscellanies would be recommended. It will also help your decision in which character you might want to pull when you play the game as well. If you do react to it, it would be advisable to not watch all of them at a time, otherwise you might find yourself reacting for 5 or more hours. Best to watch it in segments, so as to not tire yourself out and risk the drop in the quality of the reactions. Love your reactions, keep up the good work
(((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))
90% of the stuff at the end of the trailer, and even some of the story is time-limited so you will in fact not be able to learn a lot of that yourself, since it doesn't exist anymore, so this is the only way you can learn about it nowadays.
Hm… I noticed that you're pretty unfocused sometimes probably because you needed to watch so many vids continously?
Well, that may have drained your energy since watching too long will strain the eyes.
Why not watch five or so then take a break in between? I don't think combining several videos would lower the quality, rather it may even raise the quality.
But more importantly resting is indeed very important
Try IEMs instead of headphones
Genshin music is super great! weekly boss themes are best!
Will you react to history trailers?
41:23 why was I expecting the anime fan intuition analysis like I find with other reactors, okay with the simping that's fine but to actually be smooth brained on anything else other than that 💀 smh
genshin's story is really amazing imo. the quests keep getting better and better with each new area. the most recent quest, Masquerade of the Guilty, is definitely the best in the game so far. i highly recommend you start playing soon, as there's a LOT of story and content to catch up on. but make sure to take your time and enjoy it, don't rush through the game too much when you're starting out. i also recommend looking more into the OST, as it's something genshin is known for. every single song in the game is really good (also, Cyno is having a rerun in about a week and a half, and there's some really cool characters coming in the near future as well. so even more of a reason to start playing soon.) anyways, hope you have fun if you do start playing!
can i be real with you
you dont have to care about ANY of the stuff they show after the trailers
a lot of them are already discontinued and just old event content
there are a few exceptions of course but honestly. Its not something to really look into too much aside from understanding what kind of events they make
1:42:50 ALSO SAAAAAME KAVEH USE TO KEEP ON APPEARING IN ADS FOR ME TOO- (Which was before i came back to playing genshin) its honestly a little annoying when you get an ad from this game thats SEVERELY outdated
like i even got an ad that was present a whole year ago! Also I really dislike the idea of them just clipping parts of thier trailers for advertisements- they just feel very badly clipped
The trailer has becoming shorter and shorter each version xD
16:42 its china, sky lantern is chinese culture
1:05:50 that actually Sasukes VA
I felt bad every time you got excited about something exclusive to past limited-time events. There's still a ton of permanent content, but a lot of the stuff shown in these trailers are event-exclusive stuff, unfortunately. :"3
if you’re curious about the music you should totally react to the boss themes, some of the best music ive heard ever
