1. I don't think we will see power creep for buffer 4-star units until it is the last region of "this" game. Gorou, Sara, Faruzan have a niche that only makes sense to power creep once we make it till the end of the game, to sell those new units as a way to get through all the content by then.

3. I would argue that we do have a large dendro roster though. We have accumilated a larger roster than Geo at this point just since 3.0. Therefore i doubt nahida herself will get powercrept but thats not to say dendros place in the meta wont shift. We dont know if there will be any changes for the other elements come their regions.

4. Isn’t Kazuha a bit powercrept already? His only active meta team is Childe International, as Ayaka freeze teams are used less and less. I agree that Archons are the only real power creep that Genshin allows, Raiden National and nahida hyperbloom are the comfort teams that I always go to on floor 12

7. Raiden will be powercrept the moment a new dpsbuff that synergizes better with the National team comes out. It's not that hard to do, Raiden's damage at C0 is pretty mid and the whole "she is so great as a battery so you can put offensive weapons on Xingqiu and Xiangling" thing is pure bullsh1t and you still need to invest into ER at least till they both have 180 and if you ult on Raiden when finishing a chimber without any favs on the team you will be left with absolutely no damage and ER on the next chamber because there's no way to recharge it, and if you don't ult on Raiden then you end up with a dps loss regardless bc she doesn't do damage without the burst. International> i believe, is a superior to rational and the only reason Raiden is popular is because people rolled on C2 for her and Childe's cons are pretty mid. At C0 tho International > Rational. So let's say if another hydro nuke burst dps with great hydro application from on field presence and a broken C2 comes out – Raiden's gonna go down. In dendro teams Kuki is just better as hyperbloom driver bc she also heals and in aggravate Cyno and Yae are better bc they scale with EM.

   I bet my as$ if not for her C2 people would've already forgotten about Raiden.

8. Buff characters can be powercreep. Bennett is a better buffer for eula than mika. I believe jean with constellations is better Faruzan as a better utilty. Fischl a better electro sup-dps than yae miko.

   Kazuha already got powercrept by dendro.
   Especially his "grouping" part.
   In 3.x patch grouping is not even a value or a kit, it's so irrelevant people who consider grouping as a kit are stuck in old era. Kazuha's carrying kit is his buffs.
   Kazuha has only two teams now – Freeze, International. Freeze got powercrept by Nilou(Unless Nilou meets hard-counter which is rare). So he only has International and some Bennett variants(raiden hypercarry – expensive team). Aggravate is not popular.

   EDIT: People still look like in denial, right? Ok, then I 100% guarantee you people gonna stop using Kazuha on the spot if he gets his buffs removed but grouping buffed instead.

10. Excluding the Spiral Abyss, Zhongli has literally never left my team ONCE ever since I first got him in December of 2020. For context, I own more than 80% of the characters in the game because I'm a mid spender. People can talk all they want about the Abyss, but when it comes to the majority of the content in the game, where you spend the majority of your time playing Genshin over the course of 2-7 years, a character like Zhongli is priceless. Will I replace him if they release a new giga shield chad who makes me even more invincible than he already does? Sure, absolutely. But unless they do, I can quite confidently say Zhongli will be accompanying me on my adventures through Teyvat until the game ends service.

    It is for this reason that Zhongli is the only truly immortal character in my account, the only other character who comes close is Ganyu for her ability to one-shot entire groups of small enemies from 200 meters away.

11. I don't think Hoyoverse wants power creep. They re-evaluated their power levels starting with Ganyu, and they've been pretty much at that level since then. So kudos to them for that.

    Power creep would make more money, though, I think. A new character needs to generate excitement to get sales. Look at many of the new characters:
    1) Cyno: Dendro makes character individuality matter a lot less, and so Cyno is kinda meh, because attention for him is split with Yae, Keqing, Raiden, and so on.
    2) Baizhu: Not a bad healer, but doesn't inspire people to build teams. Poor sales, as people are fine to use Yaoyao and would rather invest in Nahida.
    3) Dehya: only the one banner, yeah, but still, they flubbed her badly, and killed a lot of people's interest in her by making her kit a mess at C0.
    And so on.

    Then look at how sales go as characters re-run. The first banner often does pretty well. Second one often does as well, as it picks up the people who missed the character the first time. But after that, you'd better be S tier META or the sales won't be there. Why? Because older players will have the character, and newer ones will likely be more hyped for some new character with story/marketing behind it, then an older one. You know that upcoming Klee + Eula banner is going to do very poorly. So if you want players to spend money, you need enough new characters that matter. And that's easier to do with power creep.

    Now, they can circumvent that by shifting the META. That then leads to people wanting to build new teams, and to use new characters designed for that META. But unless they do something to kill the various bloom teams, the Abyss will likely stay with a national team on one side, and a bloom one on the other. And people will dabble with freeze and so on. And beyond that, it doesn't really matter. The main reason things have worked out fine for now, is because Genshin releases relatively few characters.

    Shenhe, by the way, can very easily be powercrept. She's a bad design. You currently need Ayaka and Kazuha before you consider getting her, from an efficiency +meta standpoint. And even, you probably want Kokomi first as well. So there's a lot of room there for a stronger character, one who isn't as reliant on a specific teamset up to be effective. Shenhe is, well, pretty much a four star in terms of power levels. Doesn't take C6 like she would if she was a four star, but she's a five star, so that's a wash.

    Then, outside of characters, there's artifact sets. As a long term player, you accumulate a lot of artifacts. And many of those will have good substats. Just a numbers game. So now, when a new domain comes out, with new sets, it causes issues if those sets aren't powercreeping the older ones. You wind up in a situation where you need to invest a lot of resin in this new domain before it is worth replacing the older set you're using. And when the set requires a four piece for the character you're using it on (and the other set is probably worthless to you, due to being too focused on just a character or two), well, you can wind up farming and farming and not actually using what you're farming for, because you lack the substats needed across four pieces for the set to be an improvement. The first time we really saw this be an issue was with Xiao's set, but it is starting to occur more.

16. Zhongli is associated with Liyue. Liyue is for Chinese players (more than 55% of Genshin Impact players) a representation of China in the game. Will they power creep a character that represents China?

18. I wonder why power is even so important for ppl, since the game lacks end game even f2p account that played for a long time can clear abyss. I got wanderer because he is fun, and can fly that helps allot with world exploration I was surprised that ppl were so focused on his abyss performance. Also he makes it so convenient to clear annoying early floors where opponents are spread apart so much, he can just reach everybody from middle.

20. How to nerf kazuha? Make a enemies that is very dangerous if they clamped/hugged each other even when they stunned/staggered.
