now tell why you quit tof
The main issue is that we take the game too seriously but it's not made to be taken that seriously. There are days I just log in to do my dailies and condensed resin, doesn't feel like a chore, it's just a kind of a long term investment, just takes me five minutes and then I go on with my life. We have to make choices and if it feels like a chore just think about what you really want, do you really want a character or weapon ? If yes, just like for anything else you have to grind.m or put money on the table. But if you know it won't make you that happy then don't do it. Don't forget about your life, your hobbies…etc do what makes you happy, at the end of the day it's just a game and you are the one putting pressure on you, so relax 🤝
While we're here freak that Epilogue 💀😭, wish we had skip options
It’s a nice casual game, the dialogue is insane though. That’s the thing that always makes me quit. But I always come back for new goodies lol. Toxic relationship.
Mine was the same i just quit recently coz im being negative towards the game and its sad coz i fell in love with it at 1st and im being an a hole and a clown at every comment so it need to stop so i quit. But i still watch your content and others to show my support even if im not playing the game anymore.
I don’t think you should put a title on quitting, i think people should just leave and come back when your ready
I quit GI since after I've finished the last part of the Sumeru archon quest, card games aren't my favourite game genre so…
I sometimes jump to ToF when I can and want and play it for fun while I'm waiting for the rest of the games in my least to come out, I'm currently playing other games as well.
Will I come back to Genshin? Yes but only after the Teyvat story is over (Snezhnaya, Khaenriah, and maybe Celestia) but until then I'll just watch theories on GI.
Basically the story is usually.
You love the game.
The game jebaits, bamboozles, and screwes you sideways.
You get burned out.
You quit.
You feel about about quitting.
You start coping and play casually, pretending the game always has been intended to be for casuals, and that you also always have been a casual player.
This is just the road to quitting again down the line, btw 😀
G.I. is probably the best quality and most refined easy open world casual game. For you guys who’s new in the game, don’t rush coz it wasn’t made for grinding like that of a MMORPG. again, it’s a genuinely refined casual game, and just like Valk said, it’s easy, so no need for hard core vibe. just chill.
After all the mooping and crying, Y'ALL JUST REALIZED THIS GAME IS CASUAL?
I guess humans really did devolved into sorry pieces of meat that really cannot think anymore, this has always been the case for the whole of Genshin Impact, treating it like competitive garbage like other Gachas or FPS games or League is toxicating af by pressuring Hoyo turning this real chill game into that sorry excuse of gaming mess…LOOK I get it that you want that adrenaline rush in your gaming experience and want harder content, but this game isn't right for you if that is the case. Its meant to be played at your own pace, the only thing you have to worry about is mostly events being timed but the rest of the game isn't, just by making the casual community look real bad…Just go play Dark Souls or something if you want really hard gaming content….
I don’t think you quit the game I think you just really needed a break from the game I also took a break during that time I tried tof and I have to say the strongest point for me in tof over Genshin is in tof you can not do anything alone you would be one shot instantly playing with friends and random people was so much fun but recently I picked up Genshin again and I felt this energy and excitement to get back in the game and so it’s been fun again even tho I am still doing the same old thing that made me leave in the first place but coming back made things feel new well until it starts to get old again
Bruh
Thankyou for sharing this
I had an similar experience kind of. I quit genshin a little before you did and came back around the same time. I basically quit bc of mostly the same reasons you did. I tried a lot of other games during my time away. Some good and some bad. Like Elden Ring is the best game I ever played and the souls series as a whole is a ton of fun. But every live service game I played, kind of sucked. Played New World, Tower of Fantasy, tried ff14, guild wars eso and I dont like that type of grind. It made me realize that their "endgame" isn't that much better really. I really enjoy having one live service game I'm into
During my time away I would play abyys once a month bc that was still fun. So I came back and what's made the game fun again is I stopped trying to mid max and I'm just trying to build as many teams as I can to clear abyys 36 stars. I just started slowly building everyone and to me it's fun bc every new abyys I now have like 7 different teams to try and clear it with. Instead of making my teams stronger, I try to make more of them equal to my strongest teams. It has made the game much more fun and I dont really pay attention to the stuff I don't like. Don't get me wrong if a game like Blue Protocol or WW comes out and it's amazing I'll drop genshin immediately but until then it's not bad and it's something I can always come and leave as I want which is actually nice. I just wished they would add a little more combat and a skip button but we all know that ain't happening haha. Sorry for the long post I just understand where your coming from bc I like had the same exact personality experience with the game outside of not being a content creator
yeah sounds good dude and now it all makes sense now thanks for explaining.
I quit the game cause I was BORED TO DEATH and it was my greatest ACHIEVEMENT 💯😄😁🤣
I also quit genshin for almost a year. The only thing I've regretted is being too late to pull for Ayato as he just had his rerun 😂
Anyways the main the thing that drove me away is the constant fomo inside the community from mainly whales. I'm naturally a person who wants to make very informed decisions before doing anything, but it's a huge detriment in the Genshin community where its constant fomo. It didn't help I liked playing underrated or support characters as main dps's.
I try to watch more chilled out or f2p players/challenges now and focus on the characters I actually like as well as the little details in the game. It's more relaxing knowing I don't have to do anything. I almost fell back into the habit again when dendro released especially Alhaitham. But I don't even like him 😂 it's truly amazing what fomo will do to people.
And considering Genshin is relatively easy, remember do whatever makes you happy in the game.
Edit: actually it was more the constant "is this a must pull character?" though it can be obviously very informative, personally when I don't even like a character from the start they just get benched anyways. So it also became a thing of frustration of not just saving for who I want instead of who will get me more dps.
Sup valk, sup comments
I 1000% resonate with this vid. I used to be really burnt out as well as I tried really hard to play the game in a grind way and I always grinded content. I switched to playing casually and saving up for characters because its kind of fun that way without fomo or anything. Also big up habbo hotel and you also kind of tempted me to pull Dehya just bcs
genshin is a chill relaxing game for me. except artifact grind, this can be hella frustrating. but anything else is chill and exploration is one of the best among games. although for content creators it can be a frustrating game
People come and go with different things like a burnout
I take month long breaks and come back with renewed interest. There's no way I could play this game all the time and not get incredibly bored.
Thank you for sharing your feelings…
Is why therapy exists but thank you…
You came back bcs tof failed miserably and u needed to stream sth to get money… 6mins summary
RESIN is a terrible system and so i quit…
1:16 Dude, huge respect for that! Whenever i look up a genshin video by you i know it's gonna be chill and fun…unlike a certain someone who also makes vids.
I hate to smack talk people on the internet, but Mtashed is awful. He was the first YT-ber i bumped into when i was new to the game, the intro tutorial videos were okay, but once i checked out his other videos… "This game is garbage/Why i'll quit Genshin/Hoyo is literally ruining the game/DON'T PULL for this garbage character/the game is TOO EASY" etc etc.
You're right,i look up YT vids to chill and forget about this hell hole we call reality, not add even more bullshit negativity to it.
Tof is not so good I don't like the game
I play genshin and mw2
Again?
I called it when it was announced before it was even in the game that the TCG will be more dead than the fishing is, the fishing ppl do for the weapons, the Teapot ppl do for the weekly resin and other stuff you can get with the realm coins but the TCG there's no reason to play and i knew ppl will play it the first few days and then abandon and never touch again no matter the new additions it gets like new cards and such and even if the TCG had stuff like the Teapot has that you can get regularly it is still too boring to be worth doing all that for.
No offence to those who like it but i and many other ppl think that the Teapot is still better than the TCG and that statement by itself lowers the bar alot not to mention that thing has no gameplay at all and yet it's better.
That being said i did have hopes that the TCG will blow my mind and i would be 100% wrong about it, sadly that wasn't the case and Genshin as a whole is still where it was back then with just a bit more overworld content tho i have to admit Sumeru as a whole along with it's desert areas did fix the lack of content imo, the desert particularly feels like it has more content and exploration and puzzles than other areas, i know it probably doesn't but it feels like it does.
Oh its Valk's channel, I thought this is another MTash rambling KekW
I stopped playing in like 2.5 if I remember correctly. Came back 2 weeks ago for whole Sumeru archon quest ( which was awesome ) and that's it. Genshin on ice again until whole Fontaine archon quest is released, have no interest in grinding abyss again and I'm very exhausted of open world exploration in general.
I did not expect you to be someone who’d play Habo hotel. I used to play too LOOL.
OMG he turned into a giga chad
I played since september & currently AR 55. I enjoy playing it til now, i don't really care about things that other people say; do this or do that.
I just play for fun.
Just got hu tao & homa, and i enjoy mastering her play style. I can't stop laughing whenever i die cause i can't get used to her style.
You just having fun is what really matters keep that in mind. 🙂
P. S. September last year, that's what i meant.
I just chill, and has always been.
After 3.6 I'm quitting too there's nothing do except daily repeating commissions….
Only thing is events but those aren't fun anymore…
Did the interview where Hoyoverse revealed that they're not planning on adding any more combat-based endgame content influence your outlook on the game or was it just the time away from it that allowed you to reflect that did so?
For me personally, I never quit the game, but it was the announcement that they wouldn't add endgame content that changed my outlook to be much more focused on building fun, off-meta teams (not to say meta teams can't also be fun, rather just to say that I'm building characters and teams that I find fun regardless of their power level), and since then I have both enjoyed the game more, as well as, ironically, become a more hardcore player because in order to min-max or plan out teams for characters in ways that they normally don't use them, you need to develop a good understanding of the combat system, as you can't just fall back on the go-to team/character options.
Making Hate Videos are toxic Very Good point sir.
Mtashed did not see it. Now he regret it. Hehe
And yeah I'd also kinda quit Genshin been away 6 months. Now I'm back I admit I miss it.
Make more tof stuff again! Pleeeze? <3 transfer to freedom oasis and join abyss crew lol
I’m excited for the Blue Protocol content
Welp, there are lots of people in here trying to convince you to play Genshin again, lmao. If you quit, just quit, that is simple, don't be tempted or you will be depressed.
