My biggest Problem with Nilou is that she feels like a Honkai Unit.
To me that doesn't count as having characters built. Nobody has any artifacts and then you just put something on the ones you are about to use.
Having a character built in my eyes means you can simply slot them in the party and go. Especially important for events like the current one where ypu have to use like 10 characters at the same time.
This is more like "building on the go". Could work nicely if we had artifact loadouts.

I recognize Zajef's knowledge and expertise when it comes to Genshin TC and I visit his account frequently to hear his opinion, however his idea of fun is really different from mine and therefore his account seems quite boring and dull for how I play and invest in carchaters.For example,
Ganyu's charged attacks are a blast, and I mean literally, just seeing the damage it makes when melting is just fun on its own.
Hu Tao's single target damage is great, still the best, when paired with XQ and now even Yelan. Or swirl with Kazuha/Tankfey.
Zongli is not just when you don't know how to play. Zongli is pretty much required if you are using Ganyu for example, because how are you supposed to dodge while charg shooting?
Cyno is definitely boring to me too, being a hyper carry-on-filed DPS with such a long burst. Being a TC I wonder how haven't he anticipated the playstyle?

#askzajef Would you ever consider giving a tutorial on how to use Excel regarding its applications to Genshin theorycrafting? Like, all the shortcuts and keybinds etc. you use to quickly calculate the DPS differences and whatnot.

Nilou bloom is already one of the best AOE teams in the game. She'd be overpowered if she could work with any element.
The "restricted" complaint becomes weaker and weaker as time goes on and we get more hydro/dendro units. Already with Yaoyao she has several more viable team comps than before.

Is it not worth for you to strongbox a last piece (crown/feather) for your thundersoother set? Isn't that technically BiS for units like Fischl in most situations? Or is your 2pc-2pc just that much better? My Fischl is on 4 TS, but then again I got super lucky with the strongbox, and they turned out to be some of my best overall pieces for sacrificing probably under 100 artifacts to it. My TF set for Keqing is probably 15% weaker but it took me more like 500 artifacts to get it…

I absolutely could not bother having to change artifacts from all around all the time I want to play a character. I rather have them on shit pieces than min-maxing every time. Loadouts when.

I build all my characters and they each have their own personal artifacts and weapon. They are obviously watered down quality compared to his, but more than enough to clear 36 star.
Constantly recreating the "correct" build from scratch off memory each time switching teams would drive me insane.
I think weapons can be interesting when they encourage you to use characters you wouldn't otherwise use. Like a Redhorn Stonethresher makes (non-pyro) Xinyan and Noelle a lot more fun to play. So for a single five star weapon, I get two characters out of it, essentially. Of course, weapon banner still sucks, and the Stonethresher is a bit on an exception, in large part due to it addressing one of the things that really should be in Xinyan's kit.

Zajef as TC is one of the best, but as a normal player is very mediocre, of course master in abyss but lazy in every other aspect of the game.

Could you explain how Nilou is "Whale Bait" when you can run her with Barbara, DMC and Collei/Yayao to some levels of success? All of the units are pretty interchangable too and don't need crazy amounts of investment. Just my personal experience tho since I had such an easy time building her compared to most other 5-star units.

I have 2x Homa, Skyward Harp, Mistplitter Reforged, R2 Aquila Favonia, Lost Prayers, Amos Bow, Wolf's Gravestone, and Skyward Spine.
Out of all of them I would say the most useful weapon has been Elegy for the End. I got a lot out of it and used it on many characters. It sees almost 100% usage rate no matter what team I use. The only useless 5 star I have is Skyward Spine. Being compared to Favonius Bow is actually a compliment as that is one of the best if not the best 4 star support bow.

i have only r1 fav sword even after ar60 until last week i got two copies from standard banner and didnt refined it, as an f2p ar60 player it felt good getting copies of fav swords after 2 dayum years lmao.
