  3. Whenever a new archon comes out, usually they are like the best character in the game for like almost a year. Thats why Nahida is probably the most useful character currently, because she just released and the company just wants to get as many sales as possible. (Kazuha is exception) But maybe in a year or so, well start seeing major nerfs on chars like raiden (same thing happened to Venti and Zhongli right after they were considered the most useful characters). the main point here is, (other than kazuha who will always be broken) most 5 star characters have their set timespan to dominate meta. Venti dominated early patches, Zhongli got buffed and was probably the most broken character imaginable (He is still extremely good and would recommend rolling). Raiden is honestly just an insane battery and can deal tons of damage. Not as broken as zhongli but id say i def prefer her. And now Nahida comes along and takes us all by storm. Although I hate her character, she's undoubtedly extremely powerful and one of the highest reward investment characters. But honestly after a year, either a better dendro character will be released (Highly unlikely) or Mihoyo will actively target and indirectly nerf Nahida (which we have been seeing to our other fellow archons). All of this means nothing though since, GOSH this game is so freaking easy.

  4. Best characters for me would be Raiden/Kazuha & Nahida. The sole reason being that Raiden/Kazuha national team is an easy 36 star, and then Nahida on the second half can 36 star with fischl, sucrose and kuki.

    In genshin, the "best" for me refers to a character that a brand new player can wish for and never have to wish again.

  14. Yae doesn't need Kazuha. It is Nahida that she wants. Seriously, Nahida is to Yae as Raiden is to the Eula. She makes Yae's strengths better, while filling in the gaps where she is weak.

    Also, Layla isn't bad at all. Sure, her damage is kinda meh, and really should have been a bit better, but that is pretty standard for (non-DPS) four stars these days, barring a few niche situations. And, well, is it that much different than Zhongli? Yup, he has -resists, which is handy, but he's geo, which is the worst element. I'd say your perceptions of her are impacted by being used to having Zhongli. If you never had him, you'd see Layla in a lot better light.

    As far as best characters goes, I'd definitely add Xingqiu. Used in a lot of teams. Has enough defense to open up some healerless team options. Works with dendro, pyro, electro, and cryo, so pretty much covers every commonly used team damage type other than mono-geo. With the addition of dendro to the game, I'd say he's overall the best most useful/strongest four star now.

  24. I sobbed so hard when I have to skipped nahida for Wanderer for me be able to guarantee in getting him. I like her as a character. We have so much in similar. I did thrown in some pulls but welp no super lucky ass me this time. My only interest in 3.3 banners is Wanderer but if I manage to get lucky and have some primos to spare then I’ll throw in a couple of them into Raiden’s rerun.

The problem why layla feels being useless is, because she is only really useful/decent, when C6ed to have her most powerful form of E/Q, because everything of her scales on HP%, so having T13 insteead of only 10 is a huge difference in performance for her, plus her most usefulness is only there with her shield being not selfish wanymore (C1), better Energy management (C2) and the most important thing, her E skill firing off faster Shooting Staars, because without the C that makes her firing off faster shooting stars, its so god damn slow, having to wait like an half eternity, until the 4 stars are there to be fired off, in that time is most of the shield duration already over, before the skill caused any damage.
    Theres tons of reasons, why I said from begin on Diona is the much better character option, than Layla, but many people didnt want to believe that, because they got all illusioned by laylas better Shield Power lol… but in overall is Diona in every aspect better than Layla, because she can also heal, buff EM and Movement Speed, plus deals with her Skill alot more DmG and that instantly, without needing to wait on stupid stars, which is vs single targets even alot more useful as multi hit skill, if you hold the button for a fully charged E over just quickly tapping it instead
