I like yoimiya a lot and might consider getting constellation and weapon to use her as my main pyro dps for the entire of this game duration but I agree with you on one important point " ask people who have yoimiya why they don't use her "

From abyss perspective sure she can want alot of the good supports, but honestly who doesn't want Ben & Zhongli drafted into a team comp?
I would say people should do the test run, and see if you like the play style of her. She is brain dead easy to play, and alot of people get stuck up on end game. She will melt pretty much everything in open world.
And, if you worried about abyss you shouldn't be. It's made for those whales can have a little bit of new content to do bi weekly. You spend about 80% of the time in open world vs abyss, so you don't have to really over think it.
Just play whatever fun comp you like, for me my open world team is Eula, Hu Tao, Raiden and Kokomi. My Hu Tao hits for 30k-50k charge attacks without her best team. Just do what you find fun at the end of the day.
She is really fun to play tho, plus she was my first 5*

So so true especially for my account. I really wish I had yelan because I only have one xingqiu. I summoned for kazuha and got Jean and I literally can't build her because I don't I have resources or characters to spare. I hope more people can understand this 🤔🤔🤔.
Giving all sides to an argument with equal weight for a character is not a good thing, even though you think you are trying to cater to all audiences. Obviously, some things about a character are more important than others.
Yoimiya's kit has way too many and bigger downsides than her upsides and it seems like you are trying to create a false equivalence to appeal to both sides. That is not giving a clear message to pull or not, creators like Soul would have something to say about wishy-washy takes like this.

Why you making yoimiya heavy relaying on 5stars like she's the only one doing that for real? Like hutao and xiao(to name a few) didnt get any benefits of using zhongli+albedo combo.
If you want an example of abyss scenario you can use your most pampered almighty top S tier meta dps with the help of kazuha/sucrose, and bennett + xiangling
Then have fun pew pew pew with yoimiya, XQ/Fischl/Yunjin and zhongli/shielder on the next team
And since inazuma most of the enemies are either flying or annoying like always moving from place to place so yoimiya have also the advantage on that.

Yoimiya is difficult to work with for most players for the following reason: "Yoimiya cannot kill anyone in one hit. She is worthless because she cannot one-hit anyone.".
The solution: MHY and Hoyoverse must destroy the crit meta and make sure that there will be enemies heal themselves for 100% of the damage if they take a critical hit.

taking away units from other teams isn't a valid argument imo. she doesnt completely rely on vape so shes very flexible in teams, which can't be said for other characters like hu tao or xiangling. overload works great with her, and she's one of two pyro characters that doesnt have to worry about the knockback, shes good in mono pyro. plus there isn't a hole lot of dps characters that benefit from yunjin, besides ayato.
Yoimiya is a character that it's hard to justify pulling right now, unless you have the characters to support her. I hope sumeru will bring new characters that help underused units
I have Yoimiya, well built but I don't use her as often. It's not because she fell off or anything. It's just because the last set of spiral abyss didn't really favor single target. In this current version of spiral abyss were they are two bosses on separate halves and one that's always moving , my yoimiya could shine. Granted if you have any other ranged dps, you can handle the ruin serpent.

One of Yoimiya’s benefits is her flexibility. She works really well with fischl beidou, xingqiu, yelan, yun Jin, zhongli, thoma, diona, bennet, Kazuha, sucrose , maybe more. That’s a massive list. No matter who is on your other abyss, yoimiya will have great teams leftover!
The thing is aside from raiden, all those characters you mentioned that can slot into many teams are supports or sub DPS.
Almost any 5 star needs high investment and teams built around them. Yoimiya is probably one of the most flexible main DPS characters in the game
That doesn’t mean she’s for everyone. But it’s not for lack of teams. As with most DPS characters, you’ll be investing a lot in them and seeing a lot of them. So you should only get any DPS characters if you like them

Yoimiya has been in my team as my main DPS since 2.0. My plan in 3.0 is to main Tighnari and possibly Collei too.

I strongly disagree with this entire video and I'm kind of a Yoimiya hater myself
1) Overload Yoimiya is good, Fischl right now is free, Yunjin will be on Yoimiya banner, throw in Diona for a shield and heals and you have a great free and easy team to build. Yoimiya is the Pyro dps that needs Xingqui the least. You don't need him or Bennett really for her, Zhongli is a much more valuable character for her but there's not a lot of teams that use Xingqui, Bennett and Zhongli
2) She's no more difficult to build than anyone else. 4 pc shim or crimson or any combo of 2 pc attack and 2 pc Pyro will work fine
3) She's actually seems like a easier character to play than most. Set her up, press her skill and go to town
Don't get me wrong Yoimiya has her issues but what you said in this video I feel like aren't issues with her kit at all. I think her biggest issue is not having AOE. But there are situations where she's actually much better than other characters mainly one boss fights.
She's not really worse or better than most of the dps characters. She's very much average, so if someone likes her they can make her amazing.

A Yunjin can free your Bennett for another team.She don't need meta supports like xingqiu bennett kazuha.She has a lot of alternative to draft her team like beidou fischl yunjin.
Though she is not game breaking overpowered unit but she can 36 star abyss pretty easily.Moreover she is pretty easy to use so chances of messing up in abyss are pretty low
Yoimiya is just braindead easy mode. Just press E and BRRRT. If you want good team for her then go for Inazuma team. Thoma for resonance and shield + Kojou for damage + kazuha for damage. You can swap kazuha with MC if you dont have one.

Yoimiya is my first 5* carry on one of my account, and to be honest, when she first came out her performance is very disappointing because I didn't have Zhongli back then. And she is locked behind single target dps, in some Aoe scenarios even sucrose taser team performance better than her, and without a strong shield her attack gets interrupted very easily. However, she is really good agasint single target bosses and mobs that moves a lot. Her damage is not locked behind high energy costs, cons , HP losses, fancy techniques and she can also maintain safe distance, she also doesn't require expensive 5* weapons (4* rust is really good on her)
My opinion is if you don't have or don't plan to own zhongli, don't pick up Yoimiya.
If you don't need another single target forcused carry, you don't need her.
Otherwise, she is really easy to play and gear, doesn't require heavy investments and godly teammates like xingqiu and bennet. So yeah she is far from a must pull but will be a really good 3rd carry for players who already have established 2 teams

Honestly Yoimiya has been in a tough spot, however this situation can be very easily applied to other DPS units, (Hu Tao, Diluc, Ganyu, Ayaka) whose BEST teamates ARE a mixture with the top tier supports mentioned. As of recently, I've been using a mono-geo team for most content and Yoimiya seems to fit my playstyle and would benefit my team for now at least. I don't think she requires high investment in all honesty, just the same amount of investment as other characters do throughout the game. She just so happens to be another variety of DPS, that is running thin for most players.
Overall, I think that and HOPE that dendro will introduce new team comps that dont require such high investment support characters. Which would eventually balance out the variation of teams in game. I personally don't think this was an issue that starts with Yoimiya rather, a situation that has been snowballing with DPS units overall. Great video, regardless m
I might have c1 Hu Tao with Staff of Homa, I might have Ganyu, Ayaka, Yelan, Raiden Yae Miko and many other characters but none can match Yoimiya's cuteness, She's adorable, i skipped her for Raiden last time, I almost skipped her this time for Kazuha, But no more! He's had plenty of chances to come home, He hasn't, Now it's Yoimiya's turn.

Ridiculous argument. Yoimiya is by far one of the most flexible on field units in the game. More flexible than Hu Tao, Xiao, Eula, Diluc, Klee, Itto, etc. She works with or with out VV, with or without Bennett, with or without vape. His demo team is kinda trash. You would be doing just as much if not more damage with XQ, Bennett, and Diona. All 4 star characters. As far as her being expensive to build. Farm her set, and you have all of her sub DPS set's farmed. She doesnt need ER so her artifacts are easy to build. If youre putting her in a vape team with XQ, he doesnt even really need to do any damage. Just terrible, half baked arguments from this guy.
Why Yoimiya won’t work for most of the players? Two main reasons.
1. Her first banner between Ayaka and Raiden.
2. Her rerun between Kazuha and Sumeru release.

Hmmm, Sayu was my Benny ult solution. Works as VV n healer. Made Thoma the shielder for extra mobility and Pyro res, then whoever for 4th🤷♂️
all of these complaints to me are funny bc theyre just as applicable to her most direct competition. but nobody talks about hu tao this way
-bennett burst too small? hu tao charged attack dashes around. meanwhile hu tao cant even work well with bennett due to health issues
-restrictive team comps? she works with overload, firework, vape. far more variety than hu tao
-she works best with a shield? hu tao lives one hit from death she needs a shield too
-autotarget sucks? just play midrange. hu tao is close range anyway
she’s literally the easiest dps in the game to play. not everybody will like every play style. but thats preference. she’s still a top dps that trivializes most bosses

I quit and before deleting the game i wasted everything i had ( best artifacts etc ) and of course the last 1 pull i did i got kazuha, even getting all 5 stars at c6 wasn't enough to keep me playing, deleting it felt amazing and i'm so glad i don't have to do the daily stuff or be worried about gacha anymore
