I wonder if this is going to explore “enlightenment” and it’s hypnotic qualities in the face of suffering, over true knowledge and intentional action to address and correct the issue at hand so she can save her country more pain than it has already experienced.
I wonder if there’s a Celestial Nail that was dropped in the desert which would explain NPCs mentioning the desertification and need to create fertilizer to counteract it or to sustain agriculture in the desert itself.
Hmmm, Sumeru is a land of deserts and jungles?
Suddenly M'Aiq is homesick. Perhaps M'Aiq should visit this place, and see for himself if it is as beautiful as his home in Elsweyr.
Well, as you asked about the instruments, I can surely say that they’re the sitar and tabla, google them out if you want to aster!
And the architecture is actually Persian architecture mixed with Indian one
How/and/when are the statutes of the 7 even made?!??!?
Hey!!! Really nice breakdown!! I just want to offer some help (if you ever need it) with at least the ancient Egyptian parts of Sumeru's lore – I study egyptology (which is ancient egyptian history, religion, society and writing) at uni and I can do basic reading of heiroglyphs as part of it! so gods, myths, traditions, etc I can help with 🙂
Am I the only one who noticed that the Inazuma statue doesn't look like Makoto/Ei with a hood on, but more like Yae Miko with a hood on? I mean, look at the hair. Raiden has straight bangs while the statue doesn't, just like Yae Miko. I am highly suspicious that the Inazuma statue is someone else rather than the Raiden Shogun herself. I noticed that a long time ago, but no one else seemed to notice it, or they did, but didn't say anything.
محد مهتم
as a middle eastern person, because of how much mish mash sumeru has, unfortunately even i cannot tell what is what.
We going to get a GAA breakdown?
The intruments that are used are :Strings, Brass, Flute and Djembe. Djembe is a percussion instrument that comes from West Africa (if my memory serves me right). The use of arabic musical scales and the use of Djembe result into the Middle-Easten music that you hear. Pretty simple composition and structure, but it's effective and serves its purpose well. Hope it helps 🙂 By the way, I was reffering to the music heard in the Sumeru Teaser, not the gameplay demo that we saw.
When are u livestream mona event quest
I think the statues of seven in Inazuma are Ei since the sisters wore their hair slightly differently I don’t know the specifics
6:34 that's not the academia. Since its on the coast, I'm certain that's Sangma bay, since in Aloy's trailer description Alice is one of the suppliers at Sangma Bay.
I enjoy your voice in your videos, thank you for how organized your structure is. I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t finished the summer event yet but we get a surprise at the ending of it that might confirm your concern on the archon 👀, thanks for hosting this great chill session!
Clarification: a mirage and an illusion are not exactly the same
Illusions are things that take advantage of flaws in our senses to make us perceive thing differently as how they truly are. Like the white-gold/black-blue dress thing
Mirages form when an external factor mess with the path the light would usually take so, when your eyes catch tath light you see the source of that light in a different place of where it is. Like when you see the sky in the floor in a desert, making you think there is water
Also, I think a lot of you are talking about hallucinations, wich is when your mind make you perceive something that doesn't exist or didn't happen. Needless to say, they are very different things
If u r curious about how "jathaka" is pronounced , its pronounced as "jaa – thaka" (being born – as they were stories of past lives of gauthama budda) jathaka stories were originally written in were i live (sri lanka) so i can definitely tell references from the south asian part of sumeru. And the story of kusanali is 100% accurate for my knowledge.
Are Kusinali and Alice (Klee’s mom) the same person?
I believe the statue is still the original archon, in the cutscene showing ancient forms of the archons the dendro god is also short.
Heads up but when the traveller is listening to the voice on the beach and it leaves a dendro logo appears in front of your character for a brief second so it’s basically confirmed it was the dendro archon.
I know this is has been out for a little bit but the type of architecture that you're looking for is called Byzantine it's from the era of Constantinople which is now a days Istanbul
When it comes to Arabic music It’s not exactly about the instruments. What makes something Arabic-sounding is a composition of certain notes that is extremely iconic.
At least as far as I remember, cause it was while since I learned about it.
