  1. I know this comment section is swarming with spoilers, but I'll put a spoiler warning just in case. Please do not click "read more" if you have not finished the Inazuma chapter!

This scene really amazes me because of the sheer emotional value it has. Like, you KNOW it's coming the moment Signora reminds you that, in a duel to the throne, "the loser must die". You KNOW that she's going to die because you're the protagonist and still have around 4 more chapters to go through. But it still comes as a complete shock, pun not intended. Traumatizing, even.

Consider: You are the traveler, and since you have arrived at Inazuma you have attempted to refuse to help the nation because you can't get distracted from your goal of finding your lost sibling. However, after seeing all the victims of the Vision Hunt Decree you start to have a stronger sense of empathy – you become more and more emotional, angry at the Raiden Shogun that she is essentially stripping people of their ambitions, and FURIOUS at the Fatui when you see the damage they have done, especially with giving the resistance Delusions (rest in peace, Teppei). I don't believe the traveler has ever expressed this much emotion in the previous archon quests, so this is new. Then, when you finally get the chance to meet Signora, you make the spur of the moment decision to challenge her to a duel to the throne – a duel to the death. You want her to pay for what she's done, for stealing Venti's gnosis and contracting Zhongli's, for causing the people of Liyue harm without their god, for the Vision Hunt Decree, for everything. You don't know what came over you in that moment. You KNOW what will happen if you fail – your fate will end up much like the friend that Kazuha spoke about earlier. Despite this, you proceed, and you come out victorious… and without hesitation, the Raiden Shogun casts her divine punishment upon Signora.

She's gone, just like that. Not even ashes remained.

And while you yourself didn't do the final blow, YOU inadvertently caused her death. Sure, she got what she was getting, but still, her blood is partially on YOUR hands. And not only that – you know that the Raiden Shogun still believes you to be the enemy of eternity. She lets you free, saying that you will be allowed to leave Tenshukaku alive… however, what happens after that? The moment you step out of Tenshukaku you are no longer safe. What you saw Raiden do to Signora will become what happens to you when you take that step out. You know that you're next, and you know you don't even stand a CHANCE against her. Yae Miko's plan seems nigh impossible.

…which is why we should really thank Kazuha for helping us out. I'd go on about THAT cutscene but this is already a long enough comment as it is, haha
